We were shopping for a renovated bedroom at a beach house on Long Island. We needed ideas on bedding, but after seeing a video and images of the room, Ashlyn redesigned the space, suggesting a new furniture arrangement we never would have considered! I just returned to Dallas from New York where I implemented Ashlyn's design with new bedding, lamps, and mirrors from Ballard Designs. The small bedroom looks incredible and Ashlyn did this from 1,500 miles away. Kudos to Ashlyn who noticed my stressed daughter and me roaming the store, needing help. Ashlyn proactively approached us and the rest is history. The beach house bedroom has never looked this great. (My family purchased the house in 1974!)

Went in Monday at 400- and almost no staff was there even though they close at 530 pm. So then I scheduled online for Tuesday. I showed up for my 2 pm appointment and checked in, then inquired again at 10 after.... and then after waiting for 29 minutes for ANYONE to assist me, I left. That amount of wait time without kind accommodation really just past my threshold for what is a reasonable use of my personal time. Their capacity does not match their advertising. Sign up online is easy, text reminders for your appt. are flowing...but in the end execution is lacking. On service, I give them no stars. Made me wonder how a curtain order would get handled and if it would get lost, shelved or delayed....

The halloween season is just around the corner and I recently embarked on my first spooky decor hunt of the season! That meant stopping at homegoods! This specific location never fails to have EVERYTHING! They had all the shelves stocked and ready to go for the holiday season, which made our trip that much more worth it! Now, the only downside to this location is the size! I wish it was bigger simply because it gets so packed that it is hard to get through the store! Other than that, this is my go to location! On this specific hunt, I was looking for the viral Pumpkin dutch oven! They did not have it, but they did have many options for pumpkin dishware! Which I was not angry about! Overall, I know I will be back! The service is always great, they always have a full staff, and I can always trust that I will find something to bring home!

From creating a mood board, to selecting the most comfortable furnishing, to working with me to find alternative options during our design meetings, the experience was truly enjoyable. On the sale side working with Evan, I loved the quick communication over text and the detailed invoices to review. He was always available for my questions or change updates. My only issue was there was no actual signed contract for our big project. This made my husband and I uneasy at times, but Living Modern has an amazing showroom that is not going anywhere anytime soon. You can put your trust in Evan and you can't do any better than Norma's design experience. I would absolutely recommend giving them your business. You will be in good hands!
