Nice store if you have the time to look through everything. The pricing seems to be reasonable but someone needs to come in and actually organize what they have. And I think "upscale" is a bit of a stretch for the name. It's a nice thrift store, not really upscale at all. It has potential to be really great-lots of different areas including household, decorative, kids items and clothing. But it's not somewhere you can run in and try to find a specific type of item. I understand the purpose of GRACEful buys is a nonprofit relief agency, but I do think it is pricing itself out of business. I've been to the shop in the past and the prices were very reasonable. However, on a recent stop I noticed their prices have exploded. For example, a single small bread plate, a blanket and a clear vase were priced at $15, $20 and $14.99, respectively. Also the items in the dish/glass area and electronic areas were disorganized. When I walked out of the store another person also walked out of the store. Stopped in on Saturday. Store was soooooo disorganized. Clothes everywhere! Picture room and linens a disaster area!!! Difficult to find anything! Nothing like when former manager (Sandy) was there. This store has gone down hill. It is supposed to be a second hand store/ thrift store helping to do good in the community and yet the charge the most outrageous prices for dirty filthy broken pieces of furniture. Ever since they fired fernando and have made an older white women the manager they have lost several customers, me included. 07/23/25 Came to the store to get a couch. Last time (year or two ago) i got an almost brand new havertys couch for $20 (with a broken side arm) but still very functional. THIS TIME i see a couch that caught my eye, a nice black man who worked there said to make him an offer so my dad said "$50?" the man proceeds to say "that's too high, do you see how dirty that thing is, $20?" As my dad was about to agree to buy it for his college student daughter, the manager lady walks up and says "No it's $499". WE (other workers included) all laughed. She then proceeds to blame it on inflation, gas prices, labor, etc.... IM SORRY but this is a resale thrift store not a high end furniture mart. Trying to selling a customer a couch that has been sitting outside in the elements for $499 is insane. We left after talking to other customers who agreed the prices are just insane now and not too mention how rude the manager lady is. Bought a couch off fb marketplace for $50 and all is well. I liked the variety of things at this store, it was fun to check out. However, I wanted to share to agree that the prices are overpriced. For example, this workout mat was priced at $50. I understand these are pricy yoga mats, $100-130, however I just can't imagine spending $50 for a workout mat. I'd rather buy new then spend a pretty penny for something used. We found their prices overall to be very reasonable. There's something for everyone, and we found some great treasures that did not break the bank. DeSha was friendly and very helpful when we checked out - patient with us in answering our questions or getting us help when necessary. I didn't even know this place existed and it's so close to home! Yes! I was looking for books for my kinder library at school and didn't wanna break the bank. A "next door" neighbor informed me of this place that had a book sale going and stopped by on my way home. They have sales on select days where their already discounted items (in this case, books) is further reduced. My books cost 25 cents! They have an entire room designated to children's books. I scored 18 books for my classroom for $4.80!!! Woot Woot!!! Happy teacher and soon-to-be happy kids! The staff was very friendly, so I can't attest to the negative things mentioned in other reviews. I did skim the shelves and aisles of the rest of the place, but honestly don't see any other reason for me to return other than for more children's books. If you're heading to a costume or 70-90s themed party...you can probably find something here to add to your closest. They had some furniture and houseware too. read more

I have been in between jobs in a career change period, and had an important interview coming up, so walked in to GRACEful-Buys a few days ago in order to see what was on hand for a man approaching 50. I was impressed with the range of style for both shirts and shoes and was able to find both and in my size of Medium shirt and 11 shoe. Sandy and Shay were super friendly and very helpful in assisting me in my search as well as kindly making sure I had everything I needed before checking out & leaving. It was my first time there and kind of surprised me how quickly I found what I wanted and was in and out in about 10 minutes (beating the 15 min to close I was initially worried a bit about) ...but Sandy & Shay didn't rush me at all and made sure I was taken care of. I am an Interior Designer, and I have been going to this place YEARS! The prices are outrageous now and not priced to sell. These items are donated and need to be priced fairly. I'm not sure who the 501c3 money is going to but it's certainly paying someone's salary. I was floored at the cost of some of not most of the items. I won't be back. read more

This place is a part of a network that is doing a lot of great things in the Grapevine and surrounding area community. They are a resource for people and families in "emergency" situations and provide resources to help people through hard times and help them get back on their feet again. I work for a company that is currently having a "drive" to help support them so I decided to also stop buy their resale shop to check them out. The inventory in the shop is from donated goods and the sales from the store go to support their outreaches in the community. The shop has everything from home furniture and decor, to clothing, to dishes and china, jewelry, books, toys, and about anything someone could need. The volunteers and workers were all ages and all seemed like a great group of people getting satisfaction out of what they do for the community. I heard people whistling while they worked, singing, and generally enjoying each others' company, setting a nice tone inside the place. The prices were very reasonable and you felt good paying them knowing that your money was supporting a very worthy cause. read more

Graceful Buys should really look for more "graceful" workers. I greeted the cashier twice; she refused to interact. You might be thinking she was just having an off day... maybe but I don't think so. I approached the register the same time as another customer, the cashier couldn't have been more chatty. My turn. I say, "Hello, How are you today?" Silence. She rings up my things, doesn't even say how much... just debit or credit. I can't resist so I ask, "Have I done something to offend you?" She rolls her eyes. Another employee approaches and starts chatting right away. "How are you today? Oh... this is so cute!" she goes on. I chat with her until the cashier finishes. I'm grateful for her positive attitude. As I exit, the cashier is screaming about the forgotten receipt. I didn't forget. I'm trying to get as far away from you as fast as possible! If you've been here you know you have to pass the people waiting in line in order to exit. This gentleman says to me, "She's always like that. I try to avoid her register but the other one isn't working." Every other volunteer I encountered was responsive, helpful and kind. read more

I've been popping in here semi-regularly for years. The clothing selection here isn't huge, and I'm unsure I'd describe its selection as "upscale" (especially as compared to other thrift stores closer to Dallas), but there are occasional gems. If you're looking for a pristine like-new shopping experience like social media influencers frequently tout, you'll probably be disappointed by this location. The clothing isn't really curated and top brands don't really end up here, but the plus is that there's no surcharge for a curated upscale experience. Staff has always been kind. Wow... I have never paid so much for junk. This place was really good ,at one time, but not anymore. All the prices are outrageous. I was looking around the back for stuff that had been outside in the elements. I found a really cute table with water damage but still ok to use. The lady told me that it was supposed to be inside so I had to pay inside prices. The inside price was 80$! That's just sad. I don't know who is running this place but they are making you pay. Why not reduce prices of furniture si it sells quick and then you won't waist someone's donations. This is not being a good steward of donated items or to our environment. Giving it away or reducing the price would be so much better than just tossing in the dumpster. If the furniture prices were lower things would sell faster when you have an abundance. read more

Having to furnish an entire apartment on a teacher's salary meant I needed to find ways to cut corners. Graceful Buys was it, although I didn't really cut any corners here. It's a gem. There are so many cute buys to be had. They sell secondhand clothes, books, furniture, kitchenware, etc. I especially love the book selection. They have fairly recent books for, I think it was 50 cents per paperback and a dollar for hardcover. We also picked up a nightstand in great condition for $25, a very cool chest/drawer coffee table and side table for 140ish. It seemed like they are constantly bringing in new inventory as items were being moved in even as we shopped. They also offer coupons on a regular basis if you sign up through their email program. Definitely worth it! Best part of it all, all of the proceeds goes to helping them with their different charitable programs, such as emergency assistance, community clinic, transitional housing, etc. Shopping has never felt so good! read more
