I always find something here - it's cluttered and hard to get around in, but the ambiance also makes it feel more like a treasure hunt. They do not sanitize or clean any of their clothing before putting them on the rack for sale. I broke out every time I stepped foot in their wether I was volunteering or shopping. This isn't okay especially since they have dressing rooms and encourage you to try on your items before purchase. Great prices just unclean or sanitary. read more

I love this consignment store! Everthing you see here has been donated and all the profit goes directly to victims of domestic violence/womens shelters. My advice...if u are interested in an item, buy it! So many times I pondered items thinking...hmm...if it's here tomorrow, then I'll get it...and every single time, it won't be there anymore. Great place to shop! Employees/volunteers are SUPER friendly! Follow them on facebook for awesome sale updates...they recently had an amazing $1 sales on clothes, belts, bags, shoes... found SO many great deals! Surprised to find lots of great brand items...banana, anna klein, adidas, etc. And like another reviewer mentioned...if you see something that you think you like, but aren't sure of...BUY IT! I saw something there yesterday, went in to buy it today, and it was GONE! :( Most prices seem like amazing deals to me (there have only been a few things that I think MIGHT be slightly overpriced)...but everything else is a steal of a deal. read more

It has been forever since I have been in the store. I have lived close for the last 5 years and haven't been there in about 3. I have been missing out. They have completely revamped and have a great stockpile of used furniture and home goods. They have some clothes but it doesn't take up much of the store. I shop for thrift clothes sometimes but really it is the housewares that I really go for and they have more than anyone around. Great furniture lots in great shape and ready for show and some that just needs a little paint, and those are the ones with the great prices!!! I will definitely be going back soon. read more

I've been coming here off and on the the last few years but have been about 3 time in the last 6 weeks because they just have such great stuff. They redid the layout and it's makes better use of the space, making it easier to shop for clothes and shoes. Their pricing on books is probably the cheapest around and I like that they have them sort of segmented by topic. The men's section is small but that's fairly typical for similar thrift stores. Store employees are always friendly, making little chit-chat about items. Probably my favorite thrift store in the area! read more

I was looking for a Bundt cake pan and could not wrap my head around paying $20. I decided to hit up the resale shops and of course ended up with WAY more awesome treasures than I set out to find. Most of my experience has been on the donation end of things. I've had times where staff will help unload large boxes of clothes from my car ... other times I have to wait 5-10 mins for someone to answer the door or have them rush me away when I go to unload more from my car. Prices seem reasonable the few occasions I've gotten a chance to go into shop but selections seems slim. So overall I'll keep coming back because to help their selections and I'd rather my donated goods go to good use vs other easier drop off donations in the nearby area that say they help but make a high profit; though as I'm sure they run more on volunteers here than the other donation places seeming to run on minimum wage workers that it's usually harder to get my donations dropped here than the other places. read more

Had a set of dishes on the floor with a white tag on price. White tags were suppose to be half off. I guess they decided they didn't wanna sell for a discount. So I was told they were going to just box up and not sell. Was told I was the second person they had said no to. Very poor way to run a charity resale or any business. I have donated to this place many times. Will be going elsewhere from now on. read more

Hours listed as being open till 5. But actually they close the register at 445 and stand there announcing that to anyone who walks in after 430. So of course we turn around and leave. Might as well just go ahead and say you close at 430! What am I going to do, browse around at stuff I can't check out. Maybe they need more dedicated volunteers/employees. read more

This used to be such an amazing resource for thrifted treasures. Alas, all good things must come to an end, and Second Glance is no exception. It used to be wonderfully cluttered, filled with amazing things at amazing prices. Now it's very sparse, and it mostly seems to be uninteresting junk. I've never been much of a thrift shopper but seeing some of the pics on Yelp, not being too far from home and some free time, I decided to check this place out. The store is not too large and well organized, for a thrift store. But.............oh...........my..........cheese and rice, did I make out like a bandit. For a whooping $60, I bought seven dress pants, all but one were brand new, from high quality brand names. Five tops, a pair of brand new of shoes, two brand leather hand bags, a bad-ass leather belt, a paper shredder, cordless phone, and a necklace. I can't believe the quality brand names I got that I love and usually pay close to $100 for just one item! Most of my items were brand new. They had some cool furniture too. Not much a children's selection but upon checking out the cashier said the children's items are the highest in demand and do not last long. They even had some rolls of high quality cloth. The staff was soooo nice and all profit goes to charity. So now when I donate items, I will be going there. But mainly I will be going to shop, shop, shop. I am completely shocked at the items I bought. read more

This is an awesome place for used, vintage items. You can usually find items for a good deal. My mother and I have purchased many things from this store over the years. You can find anything from clothing to furniture to decorations or accessories. My sister once bought an awesome pair of vintage boots that could have costs well over $200 bucks and she got them for about $12 or so. They were cool! My mom lives in the neighborhood and a couple of times a year she will take a load down to the store for donation. You have to drive around to the back of the store and someone comes out, helps you unload and then gives you a slip for tax write off. Another reason that my mom regularly donates to this resale shop is that the proceeds to to the shelter for battered women. This is a cool, unique store. It is well kept and a bit nicer than your typical thrift store too. I recommend checking it out if you are in the area. read more

When shopping Resale bear in mind that they are at the mercy of donations that come in. It takes a crew to get it in and get it cleaned/fixed up to sell. One day when you're shopping you might find tons of items you love and another day there might not be as much of what you're looking for. Resale shopping is one in which you must attend often and go with a plan to help the charity that that resale shop is supporting! Resale shops are also there to help you Declutter! :) read more

I was a regular at this store, always had great deals, friendly staff & store was clean. Store is now under new management and I will not be going back! The new manager has run off all the hard-working, dedicated & friendly associates and now the new employees are very rude, stands around & will not assist you. The cashier was extremely rude and interrupted my conversation with another associate. The cashier was actually sitting on her butt upstairs in the office when I was ready to checkout, I had to ring the bell for assistance. I wouldn't donate to this place either as I witnessed them dumping majority of multiple peoples donations straight from their car into the dumpster. The store hardly has anything in it anymore. Prices also are way to high for resale, I have bought several things brand new cheaper than what they are selling used items! read more

So honestly it's a great store with good prices and items. HOWEVER, if you have kiddos with you don't bother going there because the manager obviously hates kids. As a stay at home mom I take my kids with me if I have to run errands. The two times I have been there with my kids, which mind you they are very good kids, I have had horrible if not down right rude and belittling comments and conversation with the manager. She has told me to "keep your kids with you, we don't want them touching stuff." The moment I walked in the door. There is another situation I have had with her that's a long story and not worth having the discussion here. But, unfortunately, I will never be going back thanks to her. ‍ read more

Nice second hand store. Lots of name brand women's shoes. I was able to find items for my kids as well. Staff was very friendly and nice. I'm a huge supporter of local business. I honestly used to really like the store, I've been going there since before it was second glance. It used to be another thrift store a long time ago. But lately I can tell one of the staff members is racist. To the white people who come in she actually greets them and has a conversation with them and tells them to have a good day. To me or my mom, (and any other Hispanic person I've seen in there) she could care less. No greeting or even wrapping our delicate items. Doesn't say thank you and can't even hand my card back to my hand. I've observed this happen many times as I used to go a lot. Probably the last time I'll be in there since there's some kind of discrepancy on how everyone is treated. It's sad because the store has some good finds. They also sell a lot of the better things that are donated on their eBay page, which I don't think is part of their nonprofit business. I don't think it's right to have those nice items donated and posted online. They should be at the store for sale. But whatever, not my business. read more

I "use" to be a very loyal customer for many years. The store was always neat and clean and still is. But last year the store hired some new cashiers who are just down right rude. I will not tolerate cashiers with an attitude. The new manger (or the company) changed the type of mdse as well as the pricing. I can actually go the Hobby Lobby and buy the same item for less than what this store now sells its mdse for. Last time I was there (a few weeks back) I literately looked at an item that had the Hobby Lobby price tag on it and 2nd Glace had priced it $7.00 above the Hobby Lobby price. Best describe this store now as an upscale resale store without the upscale mdse. By the way - the same rude cashiers are still there. There are so many places to shop - why waste your time at 2nd Glance. My suggestion - if you can get over the unkempt shelves, shop Goodwill and Salvation Army. At least there the cashiers are not rude. read more
