I'm a recent return vinyl consumer, having been fully on-demand for decades until my brother bought a record player and started buying all the records we got rid of after high school. Since then, Docs has been or first choice for vinyl purchases of all levels. We are not collectors, really. I'm fine with a $7 Led Zeppelin disc with some magic marker on it as long as the vinyl plays well. We try to keep it $15 or under per record, though we've broken this rule a few times. At that level, there are always fun finds here at Docs. The selection is large in all genres. We found all three Stealer's Wheel records in a single trip. My rare 70s rock like Be-Bop Deluxe, Crack The sky, and Sweet comes through regularly at reasonable prices. And don't forget to check the new arrivals bin. Highly recommended! read more

Doc's Records & Vintage - Found a coupla discs we we've looking for. - Vinyl Records Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

This is such a cool spot. They have a huge selection of records, vintage clothing, and games. My husband and I could have stayed here all day just looking around. One of the coolest things to me is that they have a lot of different booths with a variety of different items from purses to jewelry and clothes. I look forward to coming back again. read more

Music and vintage store lovers: this is a fantastic record shop and vintage spot to come and be ready to happily spend longer than an hour here. There is so much to browse, go through, and check out as you walk around. Organization of their inventory and labeling is top notch for a record vinyl shopper myself. I appreciate the clear and beautifully written (easy to read too!) labels for every single artist in their respective genre sections. There is no guessing whether they have the artist you want or not. You can even see, across the aisle from you, what artists are on the opposite aisle from you at just a glance. Doc's labels their record tabs front AND back! Oh what a dream for me who usually has a list of records I am looking for. Each vintage vendor and nook is worth taking your time in exploring. We saw such a wide variety and range of vintage clothing, memorabilia, shoes, artwork, purses, glassware, and knick knacks. I also saw several sale items that were worth a look through if you don't get enticed to just take it home. I found some cool vintage purses and 90's band shirts I had to have. Even though I was here for the records and bought well over a half a dozen of a mix of single and albums on vinyl I was super pleased with the variety of vintage and new/artisan stuff they had for sale here. The decor and even the Doc's merch are pretty unique and worth taking pictures of for remembering you came to such a unique and fun place. I love the mural and logo outside before you walk in this modern giant warehouse. Parking was super easy and overflow free parking across the street is just steps away from the front door. Don't hassle with trying to find parking in front. read more

What a fantastic record store with great boutiques as well. I'm so happy I came across this spot. I'll definitely be back.

Always a great selection and great prices on used vinyl and CDs. New vinyl is shears overpriced wherever you shop at. Reason for 4 stars and not 5. The record store experience is about community and the employees at Docs do not talk and they give the impression they hate working there. Maybe smile and talk a little about music. They just dig behind the counter with a perma frown on their faces read more

Doc's is a great place!! They have all kinds of good stuff to choose from. My friend and I went to the Saturday pop-up market with plenty of vendors. We had a great time! There was snack and drinks available for free and lots of variety of vintage clothes, albums and more !! I picked an album out from the Staff Picks section! It's a hidden gem of great music. Get out to Doc's !! read more

This place has been on my list for at least a year and found out it's right next to one of my favorite distilleries! They have a great selection of music with an eclectic mix of vintage finds right surrounding their collection and mere few feet away. I'd say give yourself some time to peruse both while there. Definitely returning when I have time to explore! read more

Doc's Records & Vintage - A classic! Iykyk - Vinyl Records Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

Had the best time picking out albums from my past for my nephew. The selection was great although a few prime items were missing. I'm sure it was due to the Christmas rush. Prices varied and it allowed me to get several. The staff was friendly and efficient even with the Christmas crowds. A very pleasant experience. May have to repeat it. read more

Not greeted whatsoever as if I did not exist perhaps it's my dark skin as other were kindly greeted. Seen a couple things I liked and really wanted to buy I was not going to leave my money at this establishment. I was ready to spend spend spend based on reviews I had seen. Treating someone as if they don't exist and looking them in the eye doesn't work for me specially if I am dropping money in your wallet. This store is definitely for white people might as well have a big sign that says only white people are welcome. read more

This place is cool! We stopped in here after spending time next door at Blackland Distillery. This place is cool. It's really kitschy. They have a huge selection of: - Vinyl record albums - CDs - Cassette tapes - Vintage clothing - Vintage decorations - Much more I also spoke to some of the staff and they were really cool. We didn't buy anything this visit but I think we'll be back to shop for a longer period of time and it's likely we'll pick something up. read more

First time here and I was overwhelmed by the massive selections of vinyl. So organized and the staff knows exactly what you were looking for. Vinyls were fairly priced new and used. I wished I had more time to spare. You need hours to be able to get through the collections. I came out with only 6 vinyls since my time was limited. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I just love this place so much. I'll definitely comeback whenever I'm in the area. I highly recommend this vinyl record store! read more

Doc's is something magical. An audiophile friend of mine hinted that this was his favorite spot to pick up vinyl, but I had no idea of all the treasures it would bestow upon me?! Vinyl - plenty, but antiques, thrifty clothing, & cool classic movie art?! Wow. This shop rocks. Literally. You can find just about any vinyl you need at docs or they'll have it for you shortly. The service is friendly & helpful. They know the store, every crack, crevice, & album like the back of their hands. This shop should be any Texan's GO-TO for vintage sound needs. read more

I stumbled across the most interesting combination of miscellany today. I wasn't even looking for it! Life is funny that way. I see a sign that says Record Sho. I thought, cool. It also listed oddities. I thought, very cool. This place is BIG. It is also very well laid out. Media up front. Records are on display when you walk in, they also have a big selection of cds. Because...they're retro..moving on. They have booths set up, further in, antique store style. Man, the collection was amazing. I do not know how long we were in there, bit there was something to look at in every stall. We got your collection of pearl snap shirts, Mimi's old glassware, cameras, toys, books and yes... oddities. I will be back here. It really is what you always hope these shops will be. read more

Great selection of new and used records. Decent prices overall too. I like the vintage aspect of the non-music stuff too.

If you love vinyl this is the destination. I prefer it over Forever Young as you don't have to pull out crates and figure their mystery system. Maybe Josey in Dallas has more if you include their purchase of Bill's inventory but those are not organized. Every store has their quirks but Doc's is worth the trip. read more

A cornerstone in Fort Worth collectibles, this store has all you could ask for. Great selection of CD's and Vinyl and all fairly priced. The back half of the store is filled with customized booths full of great gear being sold by passionate ppl. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and as evidenced by their concerts in the store, they know how to party. They are VERY supportive of local music and I have sold several CD's of my own here with their help. I'll shop at Doc's for as long as I live!! read more

A wide array of different genres both old and new, vintage and reissues; superbly labeled and separated for easy crate flipping. Staff members were very helpful when pointing you in the right direction. As far as value, the prices are in line with what I pay in Florida when I go crate digging. With the huge catalog of albums, I had to exercise some discipline and be extra judicious in selecting my final purchases . Overall, very pleased. minor regrets for putting some back, but I can live without them. read more

Super cute record/vintage store. When you walk in you're immediately greeted by awesomeness. Theres movie decor all over the walls and a huge open floor of records, CDs and cassettes. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Everything was nicely organized and labeled. The staff was available if I had any questions. They had a wide selection. About half of the store is music and the other half is vintage clothing and knickknacks. There was also a comic book section and a small movie section. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

The GOAT record shop of Fort Worth. The selection is massive (and much improved from when I moved here 2 years ago), and the vintage boutique booths make for fun shopping and discoveries once you're done looking for records. Huge selection of both new releases and used--all genres. Staff has been friendly and helpful any time I have asked for anything, and they even helped me load a big cabinet I bought from one of the booths (primo record storage ). read more

My teen is recently into records so my father in law suggested this place. We walked in and were immediately in awe! Amazing!! Hidden gem of a shop in FTW. Excellent new/used vinyl selection and well organized and labeled. The other side of the shop is full of vintage clothes & other nick nacks. Groovy man. Wow. This place is ridiculous, terribly organized, and the staff is downright rude. They overcharged my daughter for a crappy old jacket and refused to take it back just a couple hours later. Fantastic guys working here. I was able to obtain all the records on my brothers Christmas list and the customer service was exemplary. The guy took me right to each album I needed instead of just saying they're over there, he really went out of his way to help me find them. The cashier was very appreciative and accommodating and I'm grateful for around $160 I was able to fulfill my brothers Christmas list. Love this place ! read more

Doc's Records & Vintage - Doc's Records & Vintage - Vinyl Records Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

I grew up in Fort Worth, but have lived in Austin for quite some time. So when something new comes out, I only had to take a few steps in any direction to buy it on vinyl. I wasn't sure what to expect from FW. Driving home today, I figured "Heck, why not?" and stopped by Doc's. They may not have many copies of a particular record in stock, but they had both the brand new Local Natives that came out today and Tame Impala. They also had plenty of older and vintage titles as well as tons of new ones. I was very pleased! read more

I have shopped many record stores and Doc's is as good as it gets. On my first visit they had live music and free beer. I have found rarities here in remarkable condition. I recently found a near mint copy of Snakes and Arrows by RUSH, which I had never seen in any store. I always leave Doc's happy. Highly recommended. read more

Such a VIBE! After years of being away, Doc's Vintage selection has gone through the roof. They must have brought in the right people. Space 137 vintage and Timba Vintage. Great selection from vintage tees, old school military, classic high fashion, wedding dresses and much more. I've dropped by multiple times on my trip back home for the holidays and each time I see something new. You can really put together actual outfits. Feels like a treasure hunt. Oh! and don't get me started about styling help, garment knowledge and a bright warm welcome. Space 137 vintage & Timba Vintage, Thank You. Best two booths ever. Definitely keep your eyes open for them. Enough said just go. Thank me later. read more

My boyfriend got a record player for Christmas, and this was my first record store to venture into ever. When you walk in there are rows full of all genres of music, from new arrivals to older artists, everything from pop, punk, jazz, rock, house and so many more. I got a little overwhelmed by the amount of records and not really sure where the genre I was looking for was, and the staff was more than helpful and took me right to where I needed to be without hesitation or just pointing where I needed to go. This is such a great little place with a vast variety and very affordable prices. I will definitely be back! read more

First time visit and first customer of the day! Was not greeted. Went through the entire store but didn't really see anything I absolutely had to have, but the buttons at the front counter looked interesting. As I was about to browse them, I smiled and said hi to the girl behind the counter. She just gave me this cold look and said nothing. I guess she doesn't care about getting a bad review. I won't be back. read more

I have been coming here for about 4 years, so both the old & new locations. Great vibes and a wide selection of music; from popular artists to music you didn't even think existed! The new vendor booths make the experience even better. They have a lot of events with live music; can be a bit loud if you aren't used to it, but still fun. Be sure to check out Doc's if you get the chance! read more

The workers here are so rude! I was shopping for some albums and the employees were openly talking about how the music I was buying was terrible. When I proceeded to check out they decided to be fake and be like "nice choices" it was an overweight man with a beard and a Hispanic guy with longish hair. I'd rather make the drive to Arlington and Dallas for good record stores than shop here again. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Best collection of used vinyl I've ever visited (that includes Good Records, Bill's, Half Price in Dallas, Grimey's in Nashville, Amoeba in LA, Rough Trade in Brooklyn, etc). And very affordable. I'll be trekking over to Ft Worth more than usual to visit Doc's frequently. read more

FYI - they've moved from their original spot to way out on West Camp Bowie, and if you're a believer (like I am) that sometimes the best way to get to know a town is to drive around and get lost in it, well, friend, then head on out. 'Cause it feels like Doc's is a little off the grid. Once you find it, though, it's a wax lovers valhalla, and the part of me that adores shopping for vinyl, rediscovering tunes, and rummaging in search of either heretofore noted will relish the ride. According to the guy I spoke with at the counter, they've been there for almost a half year at this point but there are still some things they haven't moved over from the previous location. What those treasures are I don't know exactly, but the guy seemed like the stuff they still needed to move was worth the wait. Prices on used CDs are pretty cheap (most expensive I saw was around six bucks), but Doc's is really first and foremost about LPs. 'Cause occasionally, there's really nothing like analog. read more
