I purchased a 1935 Connecticut Commemorative Half Dollar for $200 from this store with a bit too…read moremuch trust... the gentleman working the counter was pushing the notion of the coin being of an exceptional grade, which would prompt a significant price jump if graded by a professional grading service- I didn't have a jeweler's loupe with me and my eyes aren't quite trained on grading, so I trusted his judgement. After purchasing and having a local coin dealer authenticate it, they stated that it has irrefutable evidence of the coin being cleaned, which certainly affects the value of the coin. He offered me $100 to take it off my hands. Either this individual has no idea what he's doing, or he is completely cognizant and a slimy salesman. I doubt I'll return to the store under any circumstance.

Their employees are not paid!!!! The 90% off sales are insane and We love seeing their volunteers friendly faces every time we go in. Being a Single mom of 2 boys this place has been an absolute blessing for name brand clothing for them and the best spot for teacher and classmate gifts! Saved a ton of money buying nice used sports equipment here as well. I go once a week at least sometimes twice. As far as the mask comments, I choose not to wear one. The volunteers are of many ethnic backgrounds and I've never , ever seen any racially motivated anything happening in this store !!! Every one is helpful and very accommodating. **** keep in mind this store like most other stores during COVID does not offer a public restroom. They do not have to either. I simply run across the street to any of the restaurants and use their restroom if needed. Also keep in mind nobody likes unattended children running through a store filled with glass ware and other antiques and breakables.

I stopped by with my girlfriend to look at rings, and when we walked in, she did not feel comfortable and didn't want to stay. After I had exchanged a few words with the salesman, I too did not feel comfortable nor wish to continue the interaction. Another customer walked in, and after a brief moment, the salesman excused himself to go address the new customer. My girlfriend and I took that opportunity to gracefully exit and try to do so discreetly. This is when I realized we were locked in the store. The salesman had a key-fob that unlocked the door when a customer rang the doorbell, and in order to leave, he had to be the one to let you out. Unfortunately, I had to get the salesman's attention in order to leave. He asked if we were done talking with him, and after my "yes", he said, "well, before I let you out, do you want to come over here and get a business card?" Immediately, I felt trapped inside this store, wanting to leave gracefully and discreetly, but I couldn't. Let me be clear. I do not appreciate being locked in a store and not being able to protect my woman (even by simply leaving the building) when she feels uncomfortable or threatened. I have absolutely no intention of returning. I will add, before we went to this place, we went to Duffy's Jewelry, and had an absolute 10/10 great experience. They were very pleasant, professional, and extremely kind and knowledgeable. However, waiting for that, I did a little browsing, and found a white enamel watch that looked similar to a Coach watch I had broken recently. It was $39 with an additional 25% off! I couldn't turn that down and Milly was fantastic! Both had great customer service and a great attitude. Milly, however, went above and beyond... I explained to both that I had lost my Gen 3 charger, and Milly was great and really helped my situation. We have been repeat customer, and will continue to be with great employees like that!
