I bought my niece a stiff twill vintage Sears trench coat in a deep but vibrant green with a black faux fur collar from the 70's that is in perfect condition for about $38 with the 30% off. Also bought a pair of 1960's driving gloves and for myself, very cheap but fun & pretty costume beads for $6 then 30% off. Prices were beyond fair by my California standards. They were doing 30% off during their Christmas Fair and the items were already bargain priced. I also found a 1970's Hawaiian shirt for myself that made me laugh. At $18 less 30% it seemed worth keeping buying for the next 70's party. Good quality, fair prices, cute downtown shopping environment.

That said, pricing can be a bit hit or complete miss. Sometimes items still have their original retail tags and are priced the same--or even higher--which can be surprising for a thrift store. I've also noticed some pieces labeled as higher-end brands that were not authentic (higher end fitness clothing), so it's worth double-checking if you're familiar with those brands. Photo I attached is something that was 3.99 at GoodWill that they were selling for 20.99. They must have completed missed removing goodwill's tag. Overall, it's still a fun place to treasure hunt, just shop thoughtfully and you may score something great.

These weren't worn-out items. Many pieces were either unworn or in excellent condition. They called us back and said they decided not to take anything due to the "condition." Three full bags. All rejected. It was honestly a huge waste of time -- especially when you take the effort to carefully select higher-end, on-trend brands. Out of curiosity, we brought the exact same bags to Plato's Closet beforehand. They offered us over $200 for everything. So clearly, the "condition" wasn't the issue. Safe to say we'll be taking our business to Plato's Closet from now on. If you value your time and have quality brands, you might want to consider doing the same. Parking is easy and free, with a large lot right outside. Staff was okay overall--nothing particularly memorable--though I did overhear a comment among them about being glad the store was closing soon, which wasn't the most welcoming vibe. The biggest downside for me is the policy: there are no fitting rooms, and all sales are final. No exchanges or returns at all, which makes shopping a bit risky, especially for clothing. Some nice sales going on when I visited, spending on the label colours. That said, if you enjoy digging through a huge inventory and don't mind taking a chance on sizing, or try clothes over your own, it's still worth a visit. Maybe wear a pair of leggings and a bodysuit on your visit :)

I can confidently say this store is easily in the top 1% as far as the curation goes. They have put a lot of time and effort into their selection. Perhaps the most unique aspect of this store is the attention the owners have put into curating boutique-style, smaller local brands and labels. There are a lot of custom items in here with unique branding which usually equals higher quality than some of the massive chain store products. This also makes the shopping experience more fun, IMO.
