That said, pricing can be a bit hit or complete miss. Sometimes items still have their original retail tags and are priced the same--or even higher--which can be surprising for a thrift store. I've also noticed some pieces labeled as higher-end brands that were not authentic (higher end fitness clothing), so it's worth double-checking if you're familiar with those brands. Photo I attached is something that was 3.99 at GoodWill that they were selling for 20.99. They must have completed missed removing goodwill's tag. Overall, it's still a fun place to treasure hunt, just shop thoughtfully and you may score something great.

Out of curiosity, we brought the exact same bags to Plato's Closet beforehand. They offered us over $200 for everything. So clearly, the "condition" wasn't the issue. Safe to say we'll be taking our business to Plato's Closet from now on. If you value your time and have quality brands, you might want to consider doing the same. Parking is easy and free, with a large lot right outside. Staff was okay overall--nothing particularly memorable--though I did overhear a comment among them about being glad the store was closing soon, which wasn't the most welcoming vibe. The biggest downside for me is the policy: there are no fitting rooms, and all sales are final. No exchanges or returns at all, which makes shopping a bit risky, especially for clothing. Some nice sales going on when I visited, spending on the label colours. That said, if you enjoy digging through a huge inventory and don't mind taking a chance on sizing, or try clothes over your own, it's still worth a visit. Maybe wear a pair of leggings and a bodysuit on your visit :)

My wife usually comes up here looking for more regularly findable items like jeans, pants, etc. There has always seemed to be various suit jackets and such in the guys section. As with thrifting there is a chance you may not find something every time ... but in the case of the suit items you can get something on the slightly larger size & have it taken in and it still be cheeper than getting it new. They mainly have clothes but there is a shelf of books/movies to the back left corner as you walk in. Staff is nice as well. For sure worth taking a look at.

We went in there with a very small budget and ended up coming out with a whole lot more than we expected. I just realized today that 3 of my current favorite clothing items were from this shop! I literally get complimented right and left on one of the dresses that I got there, and I think I only paid $4 for it. And my kid's favorite wedge sandals, which are another one of our current favorite items that I now definitely want to steal, were only $8, in perfect condition, and so pretty and comfortable. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful and welcoming. And it's nice to know that some of the proceeds go towards a good cause as well. 10/10, highly recommend!! We'll definitely come again.
