While we were…read moreinitially greeted warmly and enjoyed the selection, the customer service experience took a sharp turn the following day. I had already heard complaints from other friends, but I love my town and I want to shop local. During checkout, we both purchased travel-sized perfumes. That night, my friend opened hers only to find the bottle completely empty. We returned the next day to exchange the defective item, but were met with a snotty and accusatory attitude from the manager. Rather than a simple "I'm sorry about that," she immediately began telling us stories about customers who buy perfume and return it empty a week later--clearly implying we might be doing the same. There is no way that she used all of the perfume in one night and then had the audacity to return it. We can afford a $28 bottle of perfume and hold ourselves to high morals and values. She also claimed that only managers had the "authority" to handle this, as perfumes are typically "final sale." She insinuated that if we did not have the "luck" to have her or another manager there, we would have had to come back when one was there. What?? She also said on numerous occasions...please call us as soon as you realize there is a problem. Listen, it was like 7 or 8:00 PM, I am sure my friend was already unhappy that she paid for an empty bottle, had to go out of her way to return it...she brought it back the next day. I think that is good timing. Plus...you were closed. Ironically, she then admitted that several boxes in the shipment had arrived damaged, which would explain the empty bottle, yet she still chose to treat us with judgment and excuses rather than professional accountability. Why not check all of the merchandise received if there were damaged boxes? That is what I would have done prior to putting them out for sale. She is saying this all while knowing that they are not returnable. She fully inspected the returned empty bottle, but perhaps she should have taken the time to do this prior to putting them out for sale. I've seen responses to other reviews suggesting customers come speak to them personally about issues, but based on this interaction, doing so only invites unwarranted judgment and accusatory behavior. It is a shame, as there are many other fabulous boutiques on the square that value their customers. I cannot speak for my friend, but I will not be returning.

If you cannot find something in the shop that suits your needs, they will search for what you may be interested in and special order it without any additional charges. If you want something personalized, they are glad to do it and make much of the jewelry they sell in-house, even making something to order if you request it. There is a reason that this store wins "Best of Denton" year after year.

They have been here most of my life and dressed me for many occasions. While they have a great selection of very nice clothing, what you really come here for is the service! If you aren't sure of your style or size they will help guide you to the perfect items for you. This time around I shopped for a sport coat. They had a really nice Jack Victor that is REALLY liked, and other than needing to shorten the sleeves a bit, they had the perfect size for me. It was even on sale, which helped me be able to justify it for myself (it doesn't take much for me to justify a purchase of a nice sport coat!). If you like a true boutique experience when shopping for men's or women's clothes, this will probably be a place you might want to check out!

I have never been able to get such fine clothes, but remember that was their store in the Lillian Miller Parkway location. where I bought my clothes and shoes, which I no longer need, being a real live quadrilateral amputee due to meningoccocemia I contracted in Christchurch, New Zealand in September of 1995. The website said it was open until 7. We pulled into a parking spot across the street at 6:25- walked across the street, only to see it was closed. We had done downtown Grapevine the night before and it was closed then too. Maybe updating the hours so that people know it closes early. Or at least post a sign on the door explaining why. I get that now is hard to find employees, but not leaving any notification as to why it was closed, is poor business practice. I guess it was meant to be - I didn't need anything, I just wanted to check it out one last time.

If you like vintage shopping THIS is the store for you!…read more Les Muses Vintage is located in the heart of Denton, TX just across from Denton Square between W Oak and N Elm. This amazing store specializes in true vintage ranging from 1940's fashion to 1980's. At the front of the store is where you'll find some of their older pieces, however if you are looking for something "newer" they have a nice selection of 80s Levis and other leather jackets towards the back of the store. I usually don't like to shop at vintage stores because I don't have the patience for it, but this store was so uniquely curated and everything was placed in an order that didn't feel overwhelming. My friend and I were able to find some very unique piece and during the process fell in love with the staff working there. Besides clothing, they also have a lot of vintage accessories as well as home decor. Last but definitely not least, they have an amazing selection of cowboy boots for men. I can't wait to bring back my husband and get him a new pair of boots at this store!

And the prices are fantastic on top of it all. There's clothing and accessories and trinkets and more, from 1920s-era tailor-made, beaded flapper/cloche hats to colorful 1970s-era peasant blouses. There's tons of mannequins brilliantly styled in incredible pieces. A fabulous collection of vintage wedding gowns. Fur coats. Negligées. Stunning hats and scarves and shoes. I discovered a gorgeous deep purple shoulder bag/purse from the 60s while Jon found a 1970s-era button up with tiny rainbow colored pinstripes. We're both really excited about our new pieces! I feel I'd need a special occasion lined up to justify buying most of the dresses and hats I admired, at least until I'm ready (and wealthy enough) to exclusively dress in vintage pieces. In the meantime I'm happy with purchasing a single treasure every now and again. The woman working during our visit was lovely and kind and I could tell she enjoys her work and this beautiful shop. I was in by myself and shopping for a big international trip with a wedding (aka very specific needs and absolutely needed someone to help me figure out what does and doesn't work). Brie was more than happy to help me look around and give honest feedback about what I was trying on. It made me feel so comfortable and you can tell she's there for more than just making a sale. She really cares about her clients. Prices were as to be expected for boutique shopping, especially in the Flower Mound area so nothing super special there but the customer service is priceless! I am pretty sure she gossiped about me with another customer while I was in there as well. I am not interested in going into stores that engage in middle school behavior. Unless someone asks, you should keep your opinions and comments about people's looks to yourself.
