The items that the store carried is what you would find in most clothing stores... Tops, skirts, bottoms, and shoes. I was impressed that they also carried Kendra Scott Jewelry. I found a cute BOHO chic top that had tassels hanging off the bottom. I took it over to the dressing room to try it on. No one asked if it fit or if I needed another size. I needed a Cami to try on under it, so I had to get dressed and go into the shop to find one. That was a bit inconvenient. I ended up buying the top. I just expected more service being that it was a boutique and not a shopping mall.

They also have a few home items, but they definitely specialize in clothing. Frankly all of their clothes was super cute and they have stuff for all ages and sizes. The store itself is really nice and open, and just like a very welcoming shopping space. However, the reason I am giving them three stars is the staff working there. After shopping around Denton and experiencing amazing customer service everywhere else, this boutique was a shock to the system. The staff was kind of rude and not helpful at all. It seemed like they were more bothered about your questions, than anything else. However, reading other reviews suggests this is an ongoing problem at this store. I do wish them the best and hope they work on their customer service because the store is really cute. However, I don't think I will return.

JT Clothiers is in my opinion probably the nicest clothing store in Denton. It is also one of my…read morefavorite stores to shop in. They have been here most of my life and dressed me for many occasions. While they have a great selection of very nice clothing, what you really come here for is the service! If you aren't sure of your style or size they will help guide you to the perfect items for you. This time around I shopped for a sport coat. They had a really nice Jack Victor that is REALLY liked, and other than needing to shorten the sleeves a bit, they had the perfect size for me. It was even on sale, which helped me be able to justify it for myself (it doesn't take much for me to justify a purchase of a nice sport coat!). If you like a true boutique experience when shopping for men's or women's clothes, this will probably be a place you might want to check out!

I personally, was introduced to the brand when I attended the University of North Texas, in Denton, Texas, in the 1980s, where I studied Psychology and Business Management, before heading south to the University of Houston, where I graduated from in December 1992. I have never been able to get such fine clothes, but remember that was their store in the Lillian Miller Parkway location. where I bought my clothes and shoes, which I no longer need, being a real live quadrilateral amputee due to meningoccocemia I contracted in Christchurch, New Zealand in September of 1995. Since then, there's been a lot of water under the bridge and I have returned to my boyhood home, Denton, and I am still loving it. Cheers, Mark F.

Denton Vintage Market

What a cool spot!…read more We turned one street too early by mistake, but I'm not mad about it! There in the old Small Fry building we saw a sign for Denton Vintage Market! I wouldn't have known if we hadn't randomly driven by. Our curiosity made us stop to check it out. FYI, don't be deterred by the construction out front. The parking lot is in the back, as is the entrance. We walked past a sign about shopping local and then we were immediately smacked in the face by all sorts of eye candy!! This is essentially a store built of local vendor booths, so there is a ton of variety when it comes to the different products and price ranges. I was really impressed by how reasonable most of the prices were and how different so many of the products were. Also, this place is like a Mary Poppins bag, everywhere I looked there was another new room. I never realized this building had this type of square footage from the outside. In one room I discovered a section of Small Fry items, that was so nice! I'm including pictures because I couldn't possibly tell you how extensive the selection is for children's clothing, toys, adult clothing, purses and totes, home décor, jewelry, skin care and even furniture. I saw multiple vintage tea sets, an old coffee pot and some really cool luggage. I really wish I had discovered this place before the holidays, I found so many perfect and unique items for all the different people in my life. The staff is lovely and there was some delicious hot chocolate there as well! They are open Wednesdays through Saturdays and they were also advertising upcoming painting classes. They don't have a website currently, so you can keep up with their events on Facebook. If you believe in shopping local then this is your place and these are your people! Check it out!

Rose & Thorn Clothing

Love that Rose & Thorn came into town last autumn! It's nice to have another boutique in Denton…read morethat offers affordable options and sales. This review is being written during Covid 2020 so I will add that masks are being required to enter and that all employees are wearing them too which is great! I have only been able to find a few pieces from here that I can wear (a dress, hoodie, and shoes). I have curves and the sizes really don't do me justice. When I first started shopping here, I could fit size L items. After losing weight, I couldn't get into the size L items. It seems like the sizing of clothing that comes in is getting smaller. There aren't XL sizes offered and barely a plus size section if any at all anymore. Customer service from the Assistant Managers is great! I was so impressed when I came in two weeks ago to make a return that the employee asked me if I wanted to try on the navy blue dress for this wedding I was planning to attend. She knew I had been waiting for their fall collection to launch so I could try it on and she was just as excited as I was! Every time I would visit, she would ask questions and be very engaging which is not the case for the owner. I had one encounter with the owner and I felt she was very stand-off ish and didn't offer great customer service which made me not want to come back. In addition to their lack of sizing for various body types, they need to promote diversity. I mentioned that I would happily model for their social media page (which features no people of colour) if there were clothes I could fit and she told I could share a post for a feature. Interestingly enough, there are more boutiques that celebrate everyone that I will happily shop at.
