I have mixed feelings, I test drove a car last week and everything went well with the car. The person who helped me was very nice. BUT! He told me there is no warrant sold as is. ( that's not true because there are lemon laws) BUT! If someone is going to buy a car for thousands of dollars how do you not offer a warrant ? I could drive off that lot and a month later a check engine light comes on then what? You're screwed. So if you're willing to take that risk take it. My previous car had expired tags and I got stopped. While the tags were outdated it wasn't by more than a month but the police officer impounded the car. By the time I went to get it out, there wasn't enough to pay for tags. DMV wouldn't give me 1 day drive permit to take it home and park it. So I had to call finance company to go get it and I lost the car. That was nine months ago. I've been taking the bus to work during that time, but was saving up to get an affordable car. Because of the previous issue, I knew I'd have problems getting another one. Kept seeing a nice looking 2007 Black Camry SE online that kept popping up, so one day I decided to do application. Surprisingly they said they could help me. It took me a week before I could go get it and I was worried someone would buy it. I took 4 buses to get there - left work at 9am and got there at 12 noon, but left with a car. Once there, it too about an hour to get paperwork done. Used car stealer is what all used car dealerships should be called! I would compare them to lawyers, as all they are interested in is your money! I thought that I found an honest dealership.I was handed a Car Fax report. It was supposed to show all repairs since the car was new. I recently discovered that there were MAJOR repairs that the Car Fax seemed to have omitted. Does this dealership have a mechanic check all the cars that it purchases at an auction? You think it would if it wanted to develop an honest reputation! And yet the fact that the engine and transmission had been overhauled was not mentioned at all to me. read more
