At 2:32 PM, the technician texted me that he was starting the dynamic calibration and was "almost done." At 2:33, I was told it would be "a few more minutes." An hour later, at 3:25, after I asked for an update, I was told the vehicle was passing the first part of the calibration but not the second. The technician continued driving my vehicle around attempting the calibration. At 3:50 PM, he sent me a photo of his diagnostic equipment showing the dynamic calibration had a fault after multiple attempts. I even remembered that I had a Progressive Snapshot device in the OBD port and suggested removing it in case it was interfering. At 4:27 PM, the technician returned, but the situation still wasn't resolved. Then at 5:07 PM, I was told he would be "heading back over shortly." By 6:05 PM -- almost an hour later -- I was still waiting and had to text again asking whether I should just call it a day. Ultimately, they were unable to successfully calibrate the ADAS/front camera, gave up on the job, returned the vehicle to me without a successful calibration, and later refunded me. I appreciate that they issued the refund, but I lost most of an afternoon and was left with a newly replaced windshield that still needs to be taken somewhere else for proper calibration. What bothered me most was the communication. I repeatedly heard "a few more minutes," "I'll tell you soon," and "heading back over shortly," while hours passed. She gets back to you quickly, provides answers to your questions, gives quotes on OEM and after-market products, and schedules appointments. On every occasion she got us appointments that worked great for me in regards to day and timing. I mean almost immediate appointments were scheduled after receiving some good news -a quote that was easily $100 lower than a competitors price for the passenger window. A few hundred dollar difference for the windshield too. I only learned that when I was mistakenly provided a windshield replacement and calibration quote from competitor when I had asked for price on passenger window. On both recent occasions the service actually came directly to my location. Ryan called as anticipated, notified me how far out he was and arrived within the time expected. It was bad enough that two other customers--complete strangers to each other--were openly joking in the lobby about how terrible the atmosphere was, making comments like "the vibes are terrible in here" and sarcastically referring to the person behind the counter as "a real ball of sunshine." Delays can happen, but poor communication and an openly unpleasant customer experience are management issues, not unavoidable circumstances. The rep was always supposed to come out today.) . She also mentioned that the rep needed access to the window which he had. He just immediately came out of the gate saying he didn't see a problem and he barely looked at it because he never intended on replacing it. ***************** The first time this company came out and replaced the windshield the employees and the installation techs were great but they installed the wrong glass knowingly and every morning there is condensation. The second time they sent a tech out who was supposed to replace the glass but they sent a foreigner who spoke broken English and tried to be incredibly aggressive about starting an hour earlier after the company told us the wait would be from 8 am to 3 pm. Sal (I think that was his name) called the night before after 7 pm saying he wanted to do it at 7 AM instead and around 7:05 AM he left a message saying he would be there at 8 AM instead. At 8 AM he arrives and immediately says he won't replace it because he sees nothing wrong with it. It is now obvious that they installed the incorrect glass on the initial visit on purpose and are refusing to replace it with the correct glass that they were supposed to install the first time.
