Beans, guacamole onions and cilantro, salsa

This place is an institution in GDL. You can't visit GDL and not have carne en su jugo. They specialize in it. Its similar to a stew with chopped beef, beans, bacon, and a delicious broth. They bring out complimentary refried beans with corn it. And its at your table right when you sit. We ordered guacamole too. This place has the Guinness World Record for fastest service. Its 13 seconds. We sat for while eating our guacamole and beans and sipping on our beers. I think they forgot to send a waiter to our table. The manager ended up taking our order. After we ordered our food came out in 33 seconds. Not bad for not using the iPad system they have. The manager just took our order and went back to the kitchen and out came our dishes. We got the carne en su jugo of course. They bring out a bunch of tortillas too. You add cilantro and onions plus hot sauce to the dish and the eat it with tortillas. Everything was really good. I loved the food and its a very traditional dish in Jalisco. Other than forgetting to send us a server everything was great. Its a must visit location when in GDL

What an awesome experience. Guinness world record for fastest service in the world? Haha of course I'm going to try something like this if in the area. Clean, fun and good food. Yes the service was fast- we timed it to be 3 minutes. Not bad. Servers were attentive. We got greeted, and seated and they were ready to take our drink orders. They seem to have a short menu and known for the carne en su jugo. - translated to meat in its juices. A fun dish to try here. Also recommend the quesadillas.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! I've had this dish elsewhere and it's good. But this place took it up a notch! No need to really add anything on it. Broth and meat are packed so much rich flavor that I regretted getting the medium plate. If you're in a rush, this is the place for you too as well.. the service is very speedy. By the time you decide to order another item, the plate is already on your table. I recommend the LARGE plate you won't regret it and would leave the plate clean on how good it is.

Fast but drinks took a little bit

Food already in trays ready to be given out so makes sense how quick it is. Attentive staff at first when they need to hit the mark of quickness lol. However took a while to get our drinks which is funny. Nothing special in my opinion if you are nearby sure try it but to go out the way would be no. The ambiance was typical but it was cool to see a homeless person build a fort to live in a tree across the street.

This was an amazing breakfast. We arrived just after opening so it was pretty quiet and the waiter was super fast and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious and portioned perfectly. There are different sizes of the carne en su jugo, I suggest ordering more than you think you can eat because it's that food. The endless tortillas were also fantastic. The little candies that came with the check at the end were great too.

Omg this place is so bomb. I just landed and we had to come try this restaurant because we're obsessed with the carne en su jugo. Everything is good and warm. Not to say the tortillas echas a mano.

There are more locations now but the ambience here it feels different and more traditional. Service is very attentive and fast. Food is simple but tasty, and it does come to you very quickly. The courtesy beans, onions and chips are a nice touch! I come here every time that I'm visiting GDL.

While I'm GDL had to try carne en su jugo. Was the first time for this gringo to try it, so was ignorant to the quality of certain places. I know KB is popular so came here. Loved it!!! People tell me there are better places so I'll try them eventually but KB did not disappoint in the slightest. Of course fast service as advertised and everything was fresh at the same time. Very cool experience and tasty.

When it's good it's good. Let's go GDL!

As a child was a family staple. Guadalajara hits different, make it happen or don't live the experience. Good level hype, and also ask for the craft beer Cheers Guadalajara

Heard this place serves you so quick you'll be mind blown, and, I was. We were a group of 5 and got our food within 2 minutes of ordering. Pretty crazy! Lol Server brought us 2 appetizers of beans with corn and tortilla chips and it was a good combination. We all got a medium carne en su jugo (which is what they are known for) and it was very tasty and FRESH! Hand made tortillas were a great addition to the food. Great place to recommend in Guadalajara.

Food Review: Los Chilaquiles - Guadalajara, Jalisco…read more On my recent visit to Los Chilaquiles, located right in the heart of Guadalajara, I arrived a bit past the traditional breakfast hour, but I was seriously craving some good huevos rancheros and a comforting café de olla. Thankfully, both absolutely hit the spot. Café de olla is a classic Mexican coffee traditionally brewed in a clay pot (olla), infused with cinnamon and sweetened with piloncillo--a deep, rich unrefined cane sugar. The result is a warm, aromatic, slightly spiced cup that feels like a hug from Mexico itself. Their version was delicious. To complement it, they offered me conchas con nata, which was such a treat. Conchas are iconic Mexican sweet breads known for their soft, airy interior and crunchy shell-like topping. Nata is the thick, silky cream that forms when fresh milk is gently simmered--rich, smooth, and perfect for spreading. Together, it's a simple but heavenly pairing. Right away, I noticed that the atmosphere of the place feels warm and inviting--relaxed, friendly, and full of that authentic Guadalajara charm that makes you want to stay a little longer. The service matched the atmosphere perfectly: attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. They started me off with a trio of homemade salsas, along with Mexican crema, queso cotija, and a crunchy homemade tostadita. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtful. As I looked around, I even noticed photos of well-known personalities who have visited, which makes sense--the food and experience truly stand out. Overall, Los Chilaquiles delivered amazing flavors, excellent service, a great atmosphere, and that authentic touch that makes breakfast in Guadalajara unforgettable. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

It has always delivered a great experience, but unfortunately, today was a disappointment. Our group of four ordered the following: * Panela asada: Excellent. * Empanadas: Excellent. * Churrasco: Very disappointing. The quality of the meat was poor, with too many nerves that made it hard to cut and chew. * Chinchulines: Excellent. * Milanesa: A letdown. The steak was paper-thin, overly dry (reminiscent of beef jerky), and the underside was burnt, making it even harder to cut. We had to request a steak knife to get through it. * Chicken: Excellent. * Desserts: Excellent. The total bill came to $2,900 MXN (about $145 USD) plus tip. By Mexican standards, this is considered a high-end meal, but the quality of certain dishes did not live up to the price. While the restaurant has been a favorite of mine in the past, based on this recent experience, I cannot recommend it.
