Unique fusion food with an open chef's table and elite service. I love when fine dining spots are open during lunch! We want lunch too! I ordered the Mexi-Thai fish curry with eggplant and mushroom. It's one of those dishes I respect for it's blend but I don't want to eat again. I like the menu and know each dish is thought out with flavor. Complimentary bites and bread given.

Skip the short rib. Light on flavor Get the octopus for sure! Biggest bang for buck is the giant Tuna Size fish collar. Get two drinks! The one with mezcal for a spicy salty rimmed chili salt and the dragon margarita. Total Bill after tax and tip? 53 dollars! Insane value and taste. One pet peeve, the servers all tend to avoid speaking with me so I had to hunt them down. So learn some Spanish! They had some nice and free appetizer

This restaurant is some of the best food I've had in Mexico. It is a little more than normal food here, but I found it worth the price. For appetizers we were greeted with bred and mini tacos filled with ceviche. The bread was fresh and the mini tacos were a nice start to the meal. For appetizers we got a bluefin tuna crudo and a beet salad. The beet salad was a great option for a start because it didn't have too much flavor but the textures were great. The crudo was spicy with a jalapeño mayo and the fish, thin mango slices, and papaya was very flavorful; and this was one of our favorite dishes. For the entrées we ordered a beef duo, pork belly, and fish with sikil pak. The beef duo had steak which was a little bit chewy but blended well with the mashed potatoes provided. The beef cheek was melt on your mouth fatty. The pork belly and fish were great with sauces and things provided in dishes. The place wasn't fully crowded, but we came just past 7:00.

We absolutely love this restaurant and brought friends to eat here the other night. We were able to share six different courses and enjoy all of the varying tastes and textures on offer. The service was impeccable and the cocktail program is outstanding. This is a must for us whenever we're in GDL and we highly recommend it.

Enjoyed my first meal in Guadalajara a lot! Half-open patio seating, very cozy with plants, suiting for the climate here, just too many mosquitoes. The restaurant offered us spray to ward off the mosquitoes, which is quite considerate. The menu has many interesting items, charcoal butter to go with bread, tasty ant-larvae toast, and I tried financier for the first time! Although it's called pistachio financier and I couldn't taste any pistachio, which I've picked another dessert lol. Entrées: The duck is a bit gamy. The fish dish is very delightful. Also good selection of South America wine and farm-to-table sensibility, pretty good experience overall.

Everything here was delicious and prepared with care. Service also professional and attentive. I had the duck in blue corn gorditas and kanpavi crudo as appetizers, folled by a delicious crab risotto. The Pina colada Pavlova was a sweet riff on the cocktail, and beautifully presented. Will return. Comida muy rica y servicio excelente.

On my first evening in Guadalajara I visited this exquisite restaurant. The welcoming staff and the delicious food does not disappoint. The vegetables and herbs that are grown on the roof top as well as the sustainable food were cooked to perfection. If you are in the mood for contemporary Mexican world cuisine visit this restaurant. You will not be disappointed with the attentiveness of the staff to the reasonable prices.

Allium is an absolute must-visit for a higher-end dinner out in Guadalajara. It is refined, beautiful cooking at incredibly reasonable prices. We absolutely loved the duck, the beet salad, and the hoja santa panna cotta. The bread even was warm, amazing and served with exceptional salsas and butters. The service was smiley, friendly and attentive. Excellent experience!

I think this place is probably the second best restaurant in Guadalajara after Alcade who got on 50's best. The ingredients are fresh and the food is tasty and well presented. Pricing is great I been here for lunch twice and was not disappointed. Portions are pretty big I don't see someone getting through a appetizer, main and dessert without sharing. Maybe they should do a rotating lunch pre fixe with smaller portion of each. Their bread butter and sauce is the hidden mvp, I overeat that bread every time.

My favorite restaurant in Guadalajara! Located in the Chapultepec area (cool hip street with many restaurants). All of the dishes were extremely flavorful and creative. The decorations are cute and they have lots of plants. Our server was very fluent in English and explained the whole Spanish menu to us. It was only about 15 USD per person for a great dinner (great presentation and flavors). Very inexpensive for the awesome dishes we got. You have to pay at least $50 at a comparable restaurant in NYC! Our amuse bouche was mushroom soup and it was just the right amount of richness. We started of with gazpacho cold soup with seabass sashimi. It is quite creamy but still my favorite cold soup ever. We also shared a 24-hour cured duck bruschetta with fig jam. The sweet jam goes very well with the salty duck. Our entree was the crispy seabass with zucchini done 5 ways (grilled, pureed, and more!). The fish was cooked perfectly and the different ways of cooking the zucchini gave us different textures and flavors. They also gave us meringue cookies on the house at the end!

Food Review: Los Chilaquiles - Guadalajara, Jalisco…read more On my recent visit to Los Chilaquiles, located right in the heart of Guadalajara, I arrived a bit past the traditional breakfast hour, but I was seriously craving some good huevos rancheros and a comforting café de olla. Thankfully, both absolutely hit the spot. Café de olla is a classic Mexican coffee traditionally brewed in a clay pot (olla), infused with cinnamon and sweetened with piloncillo--a deep, rich unrefined cane sugar. The result is a warm, aromatic, slightly spiced cup that feels like a hug from Mexico itself. Their version was delicious. To complement it, they offered me conchas con nata, which was such a treat. Conchas are iconic Mexican sweet breads known for their soft, airy interior and crunchy shell-like topping. Nata is the thick, silky cream that forms when fresh milk is gently simmered--rich, smooth, and perfect for spreading. Together, it's a simple but heavenly pairing. Right away, I noticed that the atmosphere of the place feels warm and inviting--relaxed, friendly, and full of that authentic Guadalajara charm that makes you want to stay a little longer. The service matched the atmosphere perfectly: attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. They started me off with a trio of homemade salsas, along with Mexican crema, queso cotija, and a crunchy homemade tostadita. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtful. As I looked around, I even noticed photos of well-known personalities who have visited, which makes sense--the food and experience truly stand out. Overall, Los Chilaquiles delivered amazing flavors, excellent service, a great atmosphere, and that authentic touch that makes breakfast in Guadalajara unforgettable. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

It has always delivered a great experience, but unfortunately, today was a disappointment. Our group of four ordered the following: * Panela asada: Excellent. * Empanadas: Excellent. * Churrasco: Very disappointing. The quality of the meat was poor, with too many nerves that made it hard to cut and chew. * Chinchulines: Excellent. * Milanesa: A letdown. The steak was paper-thin, overly dry (reminiscent of beef jerky), and the underside was burnt, making it even harder to cut. We had to request a steak knife to get through it. * Chicken: Excellent. * Desserts: Excellent. The total bill came to $2,900 MXN (about $145 USD) plus tip. By Mexican standards, this is considered a high-end meal, but the quality of certain dishes did not live up to the price. While the restaurant has been a favorite of mine in the past, based on this recent experience, I cannot recommend it.
