Found this spot based on the reviews on Google and I am glad we came. There was a line going out the door but it moved relatively quickly and we were seated in 30 minutes. They have a fantastic system and I was intrigued to see how everything worked. They changed the tablecloth after every seating. The staff worked in unison and everything worked like clockwork. The food and drinks were excellent. I am a fan and will make it back here before we leave.

When and order of chicken Flautas takes one hour and a half and the place is pretty empty there is a problem! Doesn't take much to roll up some chicken in a tortilla. Finally got the and they were ok. The queso fundido was good though

Recommend: Chilaquiles in green sauce Customer service: 5/5 Don't confuse this La Chata with the more popular branch in the historical centre! This is a convenient restaurant with excellent customer service. They were extremely nice and ordered us a taxi to the historical Centre. The bathroom is also very clean and the food wasn't bad! The restaurant is very vibrant and nicely decorated with plenty of space. Chilaquiles with green sauce: 5/5 Chilaquiles with red sauce: 3/5 Sope: 2/5 Quesadilla: 3.5/5

No es algo que de verdad sobresalga a comparación de varias cenadurias al rededor de la ciudad, pero es una safe option, siempre ya que tiene gran variedad de platillos.

Good food and great prices. Highly recommend if you are in this neighborhood. Don't expect a 5 star meal but good wholesome taste.

Food Review: Los Chilaquiles - Guadalajara, Jalisco…read more On my recent visit to Los Chilaquiles, located right in the heart of Guadalajara, I arrived a bit past the traditional breakfast hour, but I was seriously craving some good huevos rancheros and a comforting café de olla. Thankfully, both absolutely hit the spot. Café de olla is a classic Mexican coffee traditionally brewed in a clay pot (olla), infused with cinnamon and sweetened with piloncillo--a deep, rich unrefined cane sugar. The result is a warm, aromatic, slightly spiced cup that feels like a hug from Mexico itself. Their version was delicious. To complement it, they offered me conchas con nata, which was such a treat. Conchas are iconic Mexican sweet breads known for their soft, airy interior and crunchy shell-like topping. Nata is the thick, silky cream that forms when fresh milk is gently simmered--rich, smooth, and perfect for spreading. Together, it's a simple but heavenly pairing. Right away, I noticed that the atmosphere of the place feels warm and inviting--relaxed, friendly, and full of that authentic Guadalajara charm that makes you want to stay a little longer. The service matched the atmosphere perfectly: attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. They started me off with a trio of homemade salsas, along with Mexican crema, queso cotija, and a crunchy homemade tostadita. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtful. As I looked around, I even noticed photos of well-known personalities who have visited, which makes sense--the food and experience truly stand out. Overall, Los Chilaquiles delivered amazing flavors, excellent service, a great atmosphere, and that authentic touch that makes breakfast in Guadalajara unforgettable. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

It has always delivered a great experience, but unfortunately, today was a disappointment. Our group of four ordered the following: * Panela asada: Excellent. * Empanadas: Excellent. * Churrasco: Very disappointing. The quality of the meat was poor, with too many nerves that made it hard to cut and chew. * Chinchulines: Excellent. * Milanesa: A letdown. The steak was paper-thin, overly dry (reminiscent of beef jerky), and the underside was burnt, making it even harder to cut. We had to request a steak knife to get through it. * Chicken: Excellent. * Desserts: Excellent. The total bill came to $2,900 MXN (about $145 USD) plus tip. By Mexican standards, this is considered a high-end meal, but the quality of certain dishes did not live up to the price. While the restaurant has been a favorite of mine in the past, based on this recent experience, I cannot recommend it.
