Outstanding! I had the normal birria along with some horchata. It was excellent....I'll admit that it was my first time eating birria so I don't really have a good baseline, but I can't imagine it being much better than this. Pro-tip don't google machatas before you try it... Also, I'm pretty sure I made a pretty rough mistake. I wasn't sure why they brought me so many spoons but after I had already started eating I realized that everyone else was using a spoon to move the salsa out of the molcajete onto the empty plate they provided and another spoon for the onions. I was dipping my chips straight in and using my fingers to sprinkle onions on my makeshift tacos...definitely was out of place and I'm sure they were laughing at me...

Pina Ice cream after. So refreshing

The food delicious. Servers had a good attitude. They served is quickly. The atmosphere was nice outside. After dinner we had ice cream. Mine came served in a pineapple. They have many flavors to choose from. Didn't get pic of food. Would recommend a must come to if you like birrieria.

Birria y frijoles

Soooo, I was checking out my hotel and asked the receptionist what was her favorite spot to eat Birria and she referred me to this place. It was on the way to the aeropuerto so I said let's do it. This place is in a super lowkey neighborhood. If you weren't looking for this place you wouldn't find it. But, this was theeee most delicious birria I have had my entire trip. And I ate Birria everyday this trip, lol. We ordered the beef Birria for two. The CONSOME is the best... soo flavorful. The meat is super tender and the portions are good. It comes with these amazing frijoles and when you mix it with consome it just melts in your mouth. If you're in the area and looking for amazing Birria this is your spot.

Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and honestly some of the best we've had. The guac was fresh and elevated by the tuna on top, which added a really nice, unexpected touch. Service was wonderful throughout the meal -- attentive without being overbearing, and everything came out at just the right pace. The beers were ice cold, which was perfect given the warm evening. The setting itself is absolutely beautiful -- relaxed, inviting, and thoughtfully designed, making it a great spot whether you're out for a casual meal or a special night. Casa Luna really nails the balance between great food, great drinks, and great ambiance. We'll definitely be back.

I had the cinnamon mole, it was delicious - I expected it to have a strong cinnamon taste but it was prepared beautifully and it tasted like a genuine, traditional mole. Chicken breast portion was very generous. My husband had the steak molcajete. It was just ok. Nothing bad but nothing to come back to. I highly recommend it for a memorable dining experience.

Food Review: Los Chilaquiles - Guadalajara, Jalisco…read more On my recent visit to Los Chilaquiles, located right in the heart of Guadalajara, I arrived a bit past the traditional breakfast hour, but I was seriously craving some good huevos rancheros and a comforting café de olla. Thankfully, both absolutely hit the spot. Café de olla is a classic Mexican coffee traditionally brewed in a clay pot (olla), infused with cinnamon and sweetened with piloncillo--a deep, rich unrefined cane sugar. The result is a warm, aromatic, slightly spiced cup that feels like a hug from Mexico itself. Their version was delicious. To complement it, they offered me conchas con nata, which was such a treat. Conchas are iconic Mexican sweet breads known for their soft, airy interior and crunchy shell-like topping. Nata is the thick, silky cream that forms when fresh milk is gently simmered--rich, smooth, and perfect for spreading. Together, it's a simple but heavenly pairing. Right away, I noticed that the atmosphere of the place feels warm and inviting--relaxed, friendly, and full of that authentic Guadalajara charm that makes you want to stay a little longer. The service matched the atmosphere perfectly: attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. They started me off with a trio of homemade salsas, along with Mexican crema, queso cotija, and a crunchy homemade tostadita. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtful. As I looked around, I even noticed photos of well-known personalities who have visited, which makes sense--the food and experience truly stand out. Overall, Los Chilaquiles delivered amazing flavors, excellent service, a great atmosphere, and that authentic touch that makes breakfast in Guadalajara unforgettable. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
