Good food and service. I had the encrusted tuna with a slight mustard sauce that was excellent. The Chamorro Tlaquepaque was huge, tasty and finger licking good. The meats are well selected and cooked properly. We highly recommend this place due to the food, atmosphere and not really expensive.

Beautiful restaurant in Taka, Blackie Jalisco. If you get a chance to come here, I highly recommend it the ambience is great. The food is excellent and the drinks are very very delicious. Five stars for them.

The food and service here are absolutely fantastic! It's a must if you go to the beautiful area of TlaquepaqueI. But make sure you come with an appetite - so much food and it's so delicious. Our server Manuel took care of us so well. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in Guadalajara. It was an incredible experience! Highly highly recommend!

A friend of ours from Guadalajara raves about this place so we had to try it! I love love LOVE the ambiance here as it's so peaceful and beautiful when you enter with outside/inside seating! We came for their brunch buffet and it was amazing! So many different options from chilaquiles, quesadillas, made to order omelettes, fruit and more! The service, 5/5! They are always ready to give you what you need in a moments notice! I also had the traditional coffee (cannot remember the name) and now I just need that in my life! If you are here you must come to this spot & you can thank me later!

    Chile en nogada.

Real has a very nice, antique style patio. Live mexican music and very friendly and professional service make this place an excellent spot to rest roaming the old center of Tlaquepaque walking streets. I was amazed to realize the menu included chile en nogada although it was not the season. Only a slight tuning for the pomegranate to distinguish between the off-season, and the taste was still absolutely fantastic. Just a side note for the ones not familiar with this traditional Mexican dish; it does not have anything to do with stuffed chile, and based on my own experiences since two decades in Puebla, CDMX and other parts of Mexico where I have managed to taste this speciality, this specific one was extraorinarily well prepared, respecting the authentic style, with the rich spectrum of flavors from chile poblano, carne picada, fruits, creamy nuts-based sauce, and laborous cooking process. The salmon was also delicious, tasty and juicy, prepared to medium. The included bread and chile sauces were of high quality too. The frozen margaritas were well in par with the rest of the high quality offerings. Yet, the total bill was not at all exaggerated for such a treat. Should I ever have a chance to visit this place again some day, with all the fine menu items, I am already tempted to order the lamb shank (chamorro), having a strong feeling it will comply with my high expectations.

Food was okay. They messed up an order and waiter rolled his eyes at us after he was the one who made the recommendation. Before sitting us down they swapped the tables with the people next to us since their table wasn't steady; hence their solution was to give us their table. Waiter would pass every so often to ask if we needed anything taking 10min to ask for water. My panini was okay. My sister in laws migas weren't that great, didn't end up having more than a few bites. Cousins quesadilla with meat which had no meat nor cheese.

Chapulines con guacamole/ grasshoppers and guacamole. Garlicky lemony deliciousness. Comes with tortillas.

On vacation to Jalisco, we took a half day trip to beautiful Tlaquepaque. We've been here in the past and tried other restaurants. We thought we'd try this place out after noticing they have a different menu. We ordered the chapulines/grasshoppers with guacamole as an appetizer (delicious garlicky lemon flavor), pulpo a las brazas/grilled octopus (perfectly cooked and seasoned just right), rellenitos en nogada /meat stuffed jalapeños with creamy nutty sauce (perfect sized and delicious). The drinks were a bit weak (tequila sunrise and a Paloma). But overall, everything was awesome. And they had a live band playing covers of hit Spanish music. Awesome ambiance, delicious food and great service. Will be back.

    Cazuela with Sauza hornitos tequila

This place was superb!! Can't miss it while in San Pedro in GDL. We tried diferente dishes ans shared and everything was as well seasoned, cooked to perfection and tasty. We also ordered a "cazuela", it's a drink with tequila and fresh citrus juice and was AMAZING! I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a group of 7 and they were ready to accommodate us with no reservation. We did the Buffett which was great for our group to try everything. They have some amazing coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker but whatever they did here was awesome and I think it had some flavorful cinnamon in it. From fresh orange juice to local juices they have everything for everybody. I would highly recommend this place for a large group or a nice saturday brunch.

Nice little spot. Really good food but very slow service. I had a delicious chicken mole dish, flan and coffee. I was a little disturbed to watch the cleaners take water from the fountain to use for washing the floor. Ugh! Other than that the meal was perfect and I will return to this restaurant, just maybe sit away from the fountain next time!

    Eclipse soup

While in Tlaquepaque we had lunch at a very nice restaurant that boasted crocodile, boar and quail in their menu, we didn't order any of the above, but I thought that a restaurant that carried this dishes was worth a try. We ordered a soup that was called eclipse and consisted of half of the bowl with cream of corn and the other half had cream of huitlacoche. It was very very good and the presentation was excellent. We also had a filet mignon served over mashed potatoes with a creamy pecan sauce. The dish was simply delicious. The last plate we ordered were the must have during the month of September, "chiles en nogada". They are meat stuffed poblano peppers covered in a semisweet pecan sauce. They were excellent. The food and the service were both excellent and to top it all off they had live music which was a very nice touch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Top of the mark for this area. Great customer service, one of a kind interior and plentiful tequila and tradition food options.

The place is is wall to wall tables and they were all filled when I went. They have table clothes (not fancy, but nice) and fried torillas (like chips, except full rounds) on the table with three kinds of salsa. The service was good and the food came out lightening fast. I am a vegan and I went because Yelp says that it is vegan friendly.... which is hard to find in Guadalajara. I only saw one vegan option, which were potato enchiladas. They were good, but they did not blow me away.

We had cafe de olla and some dishes that made for an amazing brunch. We ordered a plate of Arrachera with tortillas and Bistec Encebollado (steak with onions) with beans. On the same plate we had chicharrones en salsa, a breakfast staple in this city. To balance the heavier dishes we had a Jugo Verde drink made from fresh pineapple and parsley. The staff were so friendly, we felt at home with the kind approach and nice ambiance. The decor is traditional and tasteful, we had such a fun experience. We dream of this breakfast and want to return with our sons soon. Try some amazing food here next time you're in Guadalajara, Jalisico Mexico!

You have to walk up at least four different sets of stairs, so this is certainly not for the handicapped! The rooftop terrace for a restaurant was quite beautiful. Its got a touch of foliage and great interior design to keep me looking around. Our waitress was kind, decent with english, and prompt to our needs. We got there 40 minutes before the mariachi band was about to play. I hate live music when eating, especially when it involves screeching trumpets. Maybe this is a plus for you, but not for me. The Pina colada mocktail was delicious here! Like coconut ice cream, with a decent amount of cherry flavor in the mix. I like the cherry on top for garnish and dynamic. I imagine with alcohol it's just as good. Their queso fundido is quite satisfying. Big gooey globs of stringy salty cheese drive right. Get the chorizo and mushrooms with it, because it makes it 5 times better. They dont cut either item into smaller chunks, but it's still quite satisfying to get everything on one chip. I ordered the sugar cane taco, but ended up with the skirt steak one. It was super basic, with no seasoning, felt like a burger with the lettuce and tomatoes, and the meat was cut in a way where the meat was quite dry and stringy. Avoid this particular taco. The hibiscus taco will not be for everyone, but it was a fantastic foray into sweet and savory. It's like a condensed Jamaica drink but with all the other usual savory components of a taco. The pulpo here is pretty decent. They don't over season and the texture is fairly soft (although there's not much spring). They pile on the avocado on this one! The beef flauntas are quite satisfying. Crunchy outside, bursting with corn oil, and with a decent amount of veggies and crema on the outside. The plantains flameado is quite simple, but if you like brandy and soft, sweet plantains, then you will enjoy this. They don't give you much else other than a creamy sauce to dip the plantain.
