I was excited when I saw that this coffee shop had specialty and seasonal coffees on their menu but the salted caramel latte was sub par. It was too sweet and milky. Going easy on the caramel might help. I got the Founder to bring home for my boyfriend and that one was better but nothing special. Typical oatmilk latte. The store itself is cute and has plenty of seating, free wifi, and is dog friendly.

Nice cafe in Locust Valley. Perfect place to chill out on a hot summer's day. Friendly staff, calm environment, and old school beats. The Garden Club drink is iced matcha with lavender and rose flavors. It tastes sweet but not too sweet and really hits the spot. They also occasionally have ice cream and cones for serving as well as a serve yourself/community book cart. Take a book and put one back. Lots of good story books available for the avid readers. Cute gifts on shelves help realign the space to form the entry way and separate it from the dining area. The bathroom is at the back. Wall art is for sale. And two tables and chairs for outside seating. There's also a bar height table and seating by the windows. The radiator is there, so it might get a little warm in cooler months. Happy shops!

Came here after a stroll at the Japanese gardens close by and what a cute place. My son is still obsessed with the dinosaur egg he got from here like 2 weeks ago. My cocoa was good and I'd definitely come back for some ice cream next time. Service was great. Like I said just what a cute place. Definitely recommend.

I came here with my friend for our weekly Sunday morning debrief to try a new coffee shop. I got a lavender latte and I wanted an egg sandwich, but they were all out. The coffee was okay. I got a large (pictured) and it was kinda small for how much it cost. My friend got the avocado toast and it was just smashed avocado on white bread, like something you could make at home. As for the ambiance, I am not a fan off all the tchotchkes they are trying to sell inside. However, I do like the branding on all the cups and the large logo in the back of the store.

I love it here! The coffee shop is adorable, the location is perfect. I love sitting at the counter and watching the trains go by while I'm writing. The Founder is so good and tends to be my go to warm drink. Otherwise, I'm a big fan of their iced matcha! Just tried their breakfast sandwich and it was really good and filling. Consistent, friendly service and team, plus it's only a few steps from my office.

Came here between hikes at Shu Swamp Preserve to the Japanese Stroll Garden and it was great! A little pricy but warm and friendly staff and tasty food. We got there at the perfect time before it got too too crowded but you could see why it's so popular. There's a lot of lovely artwork and a small retail space. Great coffee. Pricy but it is Locust Valley. I would definitely recommend.

The coffee here was very good. I had The founder, which is an oat maple spice latte. I thought the staff was really nice, but because of the morning rush of people I didn't notice when my coffee had been put out. I think this could be improved by taking the customers' names while they're ordering. I'm giving this place 4 stars because I thought the food was okay for the price I paid. I had avocado toast, which was just smashed avocado on a slice of white bread with a drizzle of balsamic. It was good and I love avocado, but not something I would go out of my way for.

They offer a variety of milk alternatives, including oat milk (my fave, so creamy and delicious).

The wait staff is incredible and attentive. I had the rum punch special drink and the mussels in red sauce. The mussels come in a pot super fresh and hot! The flavors are incredible and I had to ask for more bread to dip into the sauce. Love getting fresh fish so close to home any time of year.

3.5 With summer…read morehere, who doesn't crave a lobster roll or a good po' boy? When you search for seafood spots on the North Shore of Nassau, this place ranks near the top--so we decided to make the trip out to Bayville. The restaurant fits perfectly in its coastal small-town setting. You can smell the saltwater in the air and expect good seafood. As soon as you walk in, you get that fresh seafood aroma (in a good way), notice the blue and gray decor, and see the bar with a raw bar to the right. Our waiter was super friendly and walked us through the specials and menu. We ordered Schultzy's baked clams, a lobster roll, and a shrimp po' boy. The baked clams were fantastic--probably some of the best I've ever had, no joke. Perfect seasoning, breadcrumb texture, and generous clam bits in a nice shell. The shrimp po' boy was also great, with perfectly crispy breading. Where we felt a bit let down was the lobster roll and the fries. At $38, it seemed like they used barely half of a 1.25 lb lobster. Was it cooked and seasoned well? Yes. But for that price, the portion was underwhelming. The fries were also a miss. Although they looked like steak fries but were thinner. Unfortunately, they seemed like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp and weren't freshly made. Overall, not a bad spot if you're okay with the pricing. The atmosphere and service are great, and definitely check out the clams and po' boy.
