There was a 2 top table at the back that we were seated at - we could have sat at the bar also - and it was a great spot. We ordered the tasting menu and WOW, every course was amazing. I'll post pics because the presentation was gorgeous for each item. They have a small cocktail and wine and beer selection, but that was fine. My son got their Shrub Mocktail and I got the Shrub with Sake. Both were delicious and so interesting. I can't pick a favorite item because they were all so good, but the Torched Mackerel and Poached Bosc Pear were tied for #1, followed by the Salmon, Oysters and the crazy good Blood Orange dessert. The shrimp toast was just ok for me, not bad, just not as good as everything else. Additionally the service was outstanding. For a tiny place they did everything right. They explained each course, brought out fresh utensils for every course - YEA! - and made sure we had good pacing. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and enhanced our meal. I really want to come back and try the oysters and some of the tinned items. I'm so excited I found Mink and will be back for sure.

As others have mentioned, seating is somewhat limited, but that only adds to the excellent service and intimate experience. I wish I remembered the names of our server and the manager because they were incredibly kind, accommodating, and helpful throughout the evening. One example of the thoughtful service: I was torn between two white wines, and since my partner ordered one of them, our server offered to bring a small sample of the other so I could compare and choose what I liked best. We also mentioned that we had never tried caviar before but didn't want to commit to a larger portion. They suggested a "bump" for $5 each, walked us through how to enjoy it properly (on the hand, letting it warm slightly), and made the experience feel fun and approachable. We were seated at the bar, which gave us the opportunity to chat more with the server and manager and watch the team prepare dishes for other tables. It genuinely felt like sitting at the chef's table. We both opted for the tasting menu, which changes from time to time, and we were very happy with the selection. We also added the lobster roll, and our server thoughtfully timed it so we could enjoy it alongside the warmer course. The meal began with two different oysters, one topped with caviar, giving us another chance to enjoy it. Next was the shrimp cocktail, which included wasabi--but not in an overpowering way. The flavor was present yet balanced, allowing everything else to shine. The escargot course was especially creative and delicious, paired with basil oil, pepper jelly, and hints of balsamic. While it might sound unusual, the flavors blended beautifully. I expected the pepper jelly to dominate, but it was surprisingly subtle. Next was the potato pavé served with a scallop. The textures were remarkably similar, and the scallop was cooked perfectly. The lobster roll was very good, though I personally found the bread a bit denser than I prefer--I usually like a more buttery, Texas-toast style--but my partner loved it. The turbot followed, accompanied by a chestnut beurre blanc that was incredibly silky and flavorful. It paired wonderfully with the king trumpet mushrooms, black truffle and the fish. The final tasting course was the petit fours: three small cakes--matcha, red velvet, and ginger molasses. They were slightly dense, but still a nice way to end the meal. We also added the house-made basil ice cream (because the basil oil earlier was so good), and that was an excellent decision. Although my birthday had been a few months earlier, once the staff heard we were using a birthday gift card, they surprised me with vanilla ice cream, sprinkles, and a candle--such a thoughtful and unexpected touch. They also treated us to a small glass of dessert wine. By the end of the night, we knew we had found our new favorite place to celebrate. The overall experience is absolutely worth the price point, and I only wish more places were like Mink. We can't wait to return.

Their wine selection is thoughtfully curated, with something for every palate, and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always happy to make recommendations. What makes Santé even more special is their commitment to the community. They are already supporting local nonprofits and helping organizations raise awareness and funds for important causes. They hinted that they may expand their offerings with events such as trivia nights and other activities, making Santé a fun and engaging gathering place for the community. I highly recommend Santé Wine Bar to anyone looking for excellent wine, delicious food, outstanding hospitality, and a business that truly cares about its community. I can't wait to visit again!

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very friendly employee who explained the process, discussed the wine selections, and set up the keycard used for the wines. There are eight kiosks with four wines each that include domestic and international wines with options for a taste, flight, or full glass. In addition to wine, they also offer cocktails and small plates. I tried the meat charcuterie and bread boards; the smoked duck was delicious! Overall, the experience was very enjoyable. I will definitely return when I am in the area again!

We loved the entertainer, Kenny Gee, who was charming and fun...but not overly loud. The restaurant has a classy but unpretentious atmosphere with wonderful views of the water. We started with the Brie appetizer and calamari, and both were excellent. I had the pecan chicken. I'd definitely recommend it (as long as you don't mind a sweet sauce). My son had the crab cake, and my husband had the 8 oz filet with added bleu cheese butter. Both the guys really enjoyed their dinner (although my son was stuffed from eating too much of the good bread and butter)! We did not save room for dessert, unfortunately. Tommy is the owner, and we remember him from our many years as regulars at Crews Inn. He definitely does a great job!

When you're charging $50/entree everything else has to be perfect. My husband and I can for date night, and the music was SO loud we couldn't even talk. The place is on the small side so there was no getting away from it. The wine list is just ok. The cocktails are good, not great. The bread is good. Now for the not so good. The dinner salad was like something my young child could have made. Romaine, two cherry tomatoes, and 2 slices of cucumber. That's it. French onion or mushroom soup (both delicious) are $8 up charge! My scallops tasted like ammonia, which if you google that like I did, it means they are spoiled. My husband had steak it was "meh." Third or fourth time we tried this place, always leaving less than thrilled unfortunately. Update: I did have food poisoning for almost 24h after eating the 2 1/2 scallops.

I was with a friend from out of town and seeking to try 'something different' in Tecumseh - different being other than Fong's or Kabobgy or Pat & Hank's, for dinner and a drink. We went in to a brightly lit place at 5:30 this Dec. Personally a warmer dimmer light would have been more 'pub' like. We were shown to a table and while we were still standing and just getting our coats off, we were asked if we wanted some drinks. I don't know whether to say that's good service or overzealous or just inexperienced. That dais I should have blurted something out because we didn't see our server again for about 5-7 minutes after sitting down. Before we could get drinks we receive a menu and then had to wait another 5-7 minutes before our server came back. I was told their selection of draft was on the table (one of those triangle things) and I ordered their house brew. In fact there were several beers on tap, he just didn't know what they were. If you have any taste for beer at all, I would not recommend their house brew, it's bland, generic, not worth it. I ordered fish and chips (sweet potatoe) and my friend ordered some vegetarian dish. Our food took a while to receive. The fish was nice and crispy, fairly warm. The fries were not sweet potatoe, they were regular and warm. Ordinarily I'd ask for what I ordered back and hot, but given how long it took to get our dinner I didn't. My friend was 'meh' about her veggie dish and her fries were not fresh either. We waited so long for our server to come back to see how we're doing, and eventually, for the bill, I actually got up to see if I could flag him down in the kitchen. Eventually we left and went to the bar. I'm rating my first experience 2 stars for service and food and ambiance. It'd be great to have a better experience in subsequent visits. Pub owners over here should go to the UK to see what pubs are really like and then try make a more authentic effort. At the very minimum, have smart staff and focus on good traditional pub fare.

Anyway, a few days ago my wife and I along with another couple were there for a late night dinner and drinks. All four of us agreed that the food was fine, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in town.
