Best spa visit we've had. Went for a VP couples massage and I nearly fell asleep (which is hard for me since I'm kinda being touched by a "stranger" lol). The environment was serene and ambiance was perfect for some major relaxation. The masseuses were very respectful and had the perfect amount of pressure for each of us. The last thing I'd like to do is give a bad review but honestly I'm dissatisfied with their practice. For a short response- you get what you pay for and if it's cheap it'll probably be cheap. When I walked through the door I was early (for paperwork and what not), I absolutely didn't sign anything. There was no inquiry for injuries, places I don't want to be touched, so on. Which is weird I thought and definitely could be handy because I was touched in some places which are not ok. The guy I had, I'm not sure of his name, was sick. I'm not angry! I feel bad the poor guy was sniffling the whole time. At one point he burped right where my head was. Which I get you can't control- but kinda gross dude. But what got me bothered was he massaged my butt without saying anything.... I didn't think I had to specify that one to not touch me there. It got a little weirder- he lowered my underwear (you could definitely see a quarter of my butt) and some of the time he put his hands borderline in it, my underwear. I'm shocked and a little embarrassed I have to be writing this. It was pretty cold on the massage table halfway through, my hands and feet felt freezing. The massage itself was ok. Overall, I really do think you get what you pay for and the massage didn't do anything for me. I couldn't relax most of the time which is a bummer, I was cold, and I still feel like I have knots. I still tipped the guy 20% and said thank you. The experience wasn't worth it in the end- save yourself the $40 and put it towards a better spa! read more

I booked my appointment on ClassPass, and I asked about having a female massage therapist and the Australian man (or whatever accent he had) on the phone was extremely rude. He told me that I was giving him an attitude and I was simply asking for a female instead of a male. I also had a friend come to this place, and they said they had a terrible experience with one of the therapists, and I was still going to give it a shot until the extremely rude man on the phone turned Very uncomfortable. Got a massage here today as a first time customer. This review is mainly for the actual massage. It was awesome. Way exceeded my expectations after walking in. The receptionist was fine, but you sit in this little waiting room where a big sign says if you pay with credit card there is an additional fee. My one tip would be to bring cash. Anyway, I had a deep tissue massage by Mary and she was incredible. She used a combination of her feet, yes, feet, hands, elbows, and arms. I had never had a Vichy shower before, so I was excited for what it seemed to be in the pictures. However, the Vichy shower my friends and I received was getting onto the Vichy shower bed, but then being rinsed off with a regular handheld shower head. I got to admit, I still enjoyed being washed. But, I thought I was going to have basically shower jets spraying down on me. The CEO package included the Vichy shower, so I asked them if it's a different item to have the shower jets above turned on. But their response is that there isn't enough time to allow for that in the CEO package. Which is fine and I understand, but I definitely wish that was made clear prior. The place is nice, professional, and clean. The rooms are decent and beds are fine except the head rest. I thought it was maybe just myself that was having an issue, but our entire group experienced extreme head pressure which resulted in getting super stuffed up and only able to breathe through our mouths. The masseuse attempted to adjust it for me, but something was not right with either the size or positioning of it. I have been to the HIllcrest location and enjoyed my experience there. However, I didn't really particularly like my masseuse this time because she didn't really understand me. I had to speak Chinese to her for her to understand that I wanted her to emphasize my neck and shoulders. Parking is plenty as compared to the Hillcrest location and the facility is beautiful. The waiting area is really pretty and you could tell that they put a lot of thought into creating this space. I probably won't come back to this location and try to go back to the Hillcrest one. I treated myself to the VP package during my stay-cation from work. When I came in I was greeted by Carmelo. He was genuinely polite, not the usual fake smiley bubbly spa receptionist! He was really helpful making sure I was ok with the Vitchey Shower, and I was glad he told me about it,it was a first for me! Owen was my therapist. He was very professional and attentive. He had firm strong pressure, and gave an awesome massage. After the massage I did the 15 minute detox. I didn't think I could be still that long, but I relaxed and chilled! That was followed by a sauna and the Vitchey Shower. And that was great! It's really nice to leave a massage not feeling all greasy! And they use something to soften your skin. First time at Karma Spa and my first impression overall was that it was a pleasant experience with minor considerations for the staff. I purchased the Dutchess Package which consisted of a 30 min full body dry brushing scrub, aromatherapy body butter hydrating body wrap, 30 min mini facial, and I decided to add on a 1hr full body massage on top of that. They started me off with the full body massage and honestly the atmosphere/pressure of the massage was good however, I felt like the massage itself was too generic, with constant repetitive motions, applying the same motion in the same spot over and over. I even expressed to her in the beginning that I'd like my massage to be evened out. I really wish my masseuse didn't focus on my back the entire massage and rather focused on applying a FULL body massage evenly throughout the limbs of my body. I have to say the highlight of my Karma experience was with Patty, the esthetician. She is the perfect example of customer service to the tee. She not only performs the duties of her job, but she also makes sure to explain the skin regimen and its importance. I hate to write a bad review bit this is the only way to get an issue resolved and inform others. I booked a 1 hour full body massage and 1 hour body massage plus foot massage for my mom . When I called them they informed me that they only have 45 minutes body massage in this location and if I want to get 1 hour I should go to their other location. I agreed and mentioned that as they can not accommodate me on my desirable time and since the massage is only 45 minutes , please make sure I get in and out in 45 minutes as I have another appointment right after and they said OK. I went on my appointment time 5 minutes early and when I tried to check in the front told me that the massage is actually 1 hour and not 45 minutes. In respond to my question that who was the person who booked me for 45 minutes , she said she doesn't know as she was not here that day!!! I came here base on a lot of good reviews but definitely not a good experience for driving 30 minutes there and drive back another 30 minuets without getting any service just because they give wrong information!! Great place! It is not as "fancy" as your high end spa (that you would probably pay around $100 more!) but it is very nice. It's clean and the staff is very friendly. My husband and I received the couples massage. My masseuse was wonderful and he asked often if the pressure was okay, really appreciated that. He didn't ask too often though, because I was still able to relax. They do not have lockers for your things, just a small bin inside of the room. Wish it was different but again it's not your "high end" spa. Some of the more pricier places have shower rooms, lockers etc. It is in a shopping center but it did not feel that way inside. My only complaint was that I could hear people talking in the hallways, not a fan of that. Other than that, everything was great and this will be our go to spot! Can't beat the prices! read more

I prefer a heavy touch because my back and neck are where I hold on to stress. A light touch doesn't get out the knots. She is very attuned to the body and knew just where the knots were, how long to work on them, and when to let up before it became too painful. I walked out a new person. So I was really excited for this place because I saw all the awesome reviews on yelp. I booked a massage for 90 minutes along with the body detox for 15 minutes. So into the massage. It was seriously the worst massage I've gotten in my life. It was also the most painful massage I've ever received. The women who was massaging me constantly would dig into my back and shoulder blades, going deeper ever time. I was silently screaming while I was face down in the massage table. She didn't ask me how the pressure was during the massage at all either. Another issue I had was my 90 minute massage was only 60 minutes....I was confused on why it was cut short but I'm honestly glad it was. My back was sore going in and coming out that massage I felt more pain in my back. One more thing, the ladies doing the massage were constantly talking. Is it me or during a massage it's supposed to be quiet and peaceful. The body detox now. I wouldn't recommend it. You may like it but it's 15 minutes of your feet soaking in water while you lay on your back. It was honestly a little awkward because your feet dangle off the table into a bucket where they cram your feet. It was slightly uncomfortable. Before I booked an appointment I called and asked about the Swedish massage with medium pressure. I asked if the massage therapist would use her hands NOT her arm for the pressure. The receptionist assured me that she would use her hands and not her arms. Not true. She did start out with her hands/fingers on my shoulders and upper spine. That's it. Then came the arm and swishing hand motion with no pressure. I told the receptionist after it was over what happened. She said she was not the receptionist earlier and that she would let her know not to tell people that they don't use arms. She said it was a Chinese massage and they all use their arms.
