I really needed to relax and detox my body and came across Blu Life Wellness on Instagram. I'm so glad I found them! It was easy enough for me to use their website and schedule my appointment to come in. One 30-minute session is $29, but if you choose the membership it's $29/month and you get two sessions. I ended up getting the monthly plan. When I walked in, Leticia was very welcoming and showed me to the room I was going to be in. They have 3 sauna stations and it's in its own personal room so when you go in you can really enjoy and relax. She went over basic control use of the temperature and different light options (each light has different healing purposes). You're also provided with a mini fridge that has a cold towel and water bottle for after your session. There's also extra towels in the room to use to dry your body. The room also has a TV and you can watch movies on Netflix or you can just leave the zen music playing. Definitely looking forward to my next session! I like this place and would consider going back. But I had a negative experience today, and I think the business owner should know about it. I purchased a package for 8 sauna sessions and went in for one today. Each session gives you 45 minutes where the heaters are turned on. The saunas have two heaters, and typically get up to 140F in a matter of minutes. Today, I was booked into one that only had one working heater. I sat there for 30 minutes waiting for the sauna to get up to temperature, which took most of my allocated time. Basically, I paid full price to sit in a broken sauna that takes too long to heat up. When I finished, I politely let the front desk staff know about the issue. She explained they are aware one of the heaters is broken and reassured me that I would still "get all of the same benefits." I had to explain that "A broken heater means that I spent most of my session waiting for the sauna to heat up, so no, the benefits are not the same." She didn't seem to think that was a problem, and instead of offering another session with a working sauna, just thanked me for being "patient" while they get it fixed. Frankly, she seemed somewhat annoyed that I mentioned it. Apparently, they try to compensate for the heater being broken by keeping the sauna hot before customers come in - but this obviously didn't happen in my case. To the Business Owner: Why are you charging customers to use a broken sauna? Do you think it's okay to make customers spend most of their session waiting for the sauna to heat up? Generally, this business and their staff have been exceptional and friendly, and I've really enjoyed going here. This was an unusual disappointment that left me wondering if the business owner knows this is happening. Pretty frustrating, and not a great way to treat your customers. read more
