I purchased a package of 6 laser hair removal sessions and unfortunately had a very mixed experience at this med spa. Pros: The two nurses I had throughout my treatments (Karen and Elena) were absolutely incredible. They were kind, professional, and always made me feel comfortable. Their attention to detail and overall demeanor made it clear they genuinely care about their clients and love what they do. I honestly have nothing but praise for them. Cons: The front desk staff on the other hand are extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. I've had multiple negative experiences with them, but the worst involved a blonde front desk employee who completely lacked empathy and professionalism. After one of my appointments was rescheduled due to a broken machine (which I was understanding about), I showed up to the new date only to be told the machine still wasn't working. I waited 25 minutes before the blonde employee approached me with a dismissive attitude, asking if I wanted to reschedule, no apology, no concern, just completely nonchalant. I explained that I couldn't push my appointment AGAIN because laser hair removal works on a strict timing schedule and they had already delayed me a week. She didn't seem to care at all and didn't even offer to make up for the inconvenience, despite me having driven 45 minutes to be there. I ended up waiting an extra hour before they finally got the machine working. Again shoutout to the nurse Elena who treated me that day, because she was the only one who made the experience bearable. The final issue that pushed me to write this review was when I purchased a Groupon for additional sessions. Nowhere on the Groupon page did it say it was only for new customers, yet I was told I couldn't use it because I had been there before. The front desk employee asked me to send her a screenshot so she could check with her manager. Eventually, she got back to me saying they couldn't honor the Groupon, but that they could "match the price" if I purchased directly through them and they'd reach out to Groupon on my behalf for a refund. I agreed to that, asked a few follow up questions... and then received zero response. Days went by with no update. I had to personally go through Groupon and deal with the refund process myself, even though they specifically told me they'd handle it. It's frustrating and disappointing. The front desk staff come across as disorganized, uncaring, and in my honest opinion incompetent. I hate to say that, but it's been a repeated issue. If this place didn't have such amazing nurses, I would've stopped coming a long time ago. Unfortunately I no longer will be continuing my treatments here. read more

The service attitude is very good. What makes me most satisfied is that they use the latest hair removal equipment, which is better than other products. I was nervous about trying any cosmetic or ant- aging treatments since I had heard all the scary horror stories about things gone terribly wrong.. Also, I am 55 and don't mind looking my age. My coworker, who is younger than I told me that she gets Botox and sometimes Xeomin injections at Lavande spa to look less grumpy and tired. I was skeptical and nervous, but i gave it a try and it was a great experience. The office staff at Lavande are so kind and friendly. The nurses who did my Botox/Xeomin injections over the last few years have been amazing! I do the bare minimum of injections, but I look more rested and maybe slightly younger. This was one of the worst experiences of my entire life. Never did I expect to walk out of a laser treatment with 1st and 2nd degree burns on the most sensitive areas of the body. I was in so much pain immediately following the treatment that I was unable to leave for almost an hour. The tech and manager (owner also I believe) downplayed what was happening and said they had no idea what could be causing my pain. Within 36 hours all of the burns began to turn black! I am now left with permanent scarring and marks on my entire Brazilian area. This happened the day before my husband and I were supposed to be celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary. Our trip was completely ruined because I was unable to move without pain. It was $1,700 down the drain because we could not cancel our trip reservations. Lavande spa took ZERO responsibility, offered no compensation or even a refund for the services!!! The tech even admitted she turned the laser up more than she should have. read more

I like my appointment as it's in/out no hassle. I have been thinking of becoming a member for $300 / year but before I commit to the membership, I wanted to test out a couple of services to see if it's worth coming back every month? Well two days ago, I saw a groupon for their couples massage and I purchased it as a christmas gift for my hubby and I. But when I tried to get an appointment, I was told I can't use it as I'm already a member. Excuse me, how do you define membership? I didn't pay for membership yet, I am still testing the waters with this business. The lad that have been texting me said, you can get a refund from groupon. After going back and forth, she said, you can get the discount for $199. I said, I paid $149 for it. Then she comes back with no its $199. My point is, their services might be good if it's a straight transaction but for those customers who might want to get more services done and are testing out your offers are now put off by the inability to reason or realize that the definition of membership constitute a payment for your membership per your website. Your website was also down yesterday. If you want to compete in this industry, you have to review your policies, train your people how to navigate to an unusual situation and keep in mind your business goals which is to gain more loyal and happy customers. You didn't loose $70 bucks you lost your future income and future referrals. I am not unreasonable customer but your personnel who texts your customers needs proper training. read more

Buyer beware!!! I purchased a set of 3 tattoo laser removal sessions from this place. After reviewing my photo via text, they determined that my tattoo was a little bit bigger than one credit card size so instead of three sessions, they would honor two laser removal sessions. Well, after my second session, they tried to squeeze me for more money, saying that my first session counted as two sessions and my second session counted as four sessions because my tattoo was bigger than a credit card. The lady running the clinic (long brown hair-appt was Sat 3/4 @ 10am) literally tried to argue with me for about 20 minutes and asked me for text evidence that this was promised to me (see photos below for text exchange from the spa). Never mind the fact that I went behind Groupon's back to give them the money directly. Needless to say, I walked out there and refused to be conned out of paying more money because they breached the agreement. And because of her adamant stance that I misunderstood what was promised to me, I will never ever go there again. Bait and switch technique in full effect. Shame on them. And she had the audacity to take her aggressive stance in front of other clients. She should be fired for how she handled the situation. Luckily for me, my dad owns a chain of laser/Botox clinics in AZ so I'm very well versed at how the business works. Her attempt to con me out of money was noted and DENIED. Oh, and the amount she tried to squeeze me for? $199 but tried to angle it like she was going to do me a solid and only charge me $49 on top of what I already prepaid for. It's the audacity for me. I'm so glad I found this spa via groupon. This place is a one stop shop for all your skincare and beauty needs. I have just finished my rounds of laser hair removal treatment here (the nurse who does this is phenomenal, professional, kind, and she has an air of relaxing you through the whole process) I am planning to have facial treatments here as well as a massage also! 5/5 experience! Walking into the spa/office was an entire change of atmosphere, luxurious and beautifully decorated, and everyone seemed like they liked where they were. The ladies up front followed Covid guidelines while being friendly and welcoming which was a great start. Heidi did my microneedling and she was completely informative and friendly the whole time. I got to ask all my questions, she did everything she could to explain the procedure and assure me that it was safe, then gave me all the info I needed on what to expect and do afterwards. My girl friend and I were debating whether or not we would get this done, then on who would go first and report back whether it was was worth it/how it felt, etc. I caved and went first so now I get to recommend Heidi and Lavande Spa! To the spa: Hi ladies, it would be great to have those little envelopes at the front desk area so we can name and add a tip or even just a compliment and slide it over.. it really helps awkward people (me lol) esp since we/they may be in a rush after the appt is over. I went with a girlfriend to get some botox before my wedding. I had some worry lines between my brows that makeup settles into and exaggerates the lines. It also makes me look "angry faced". Scheduling was super easy. The ladies there are the nicest! They presently take all the necessary and proper COVID precautions. Heidi did my procedure, which was surprisingly quick. I thought she'd be sticking me with a needle a few times (I bought 20 units.) but she only inserted the needle four times. An ice pack was applied beforehand to likely numb and reduce swelling. The numbing helped. I didn't have any post-procedure swelling or bruising. There was only a tad bit of bleeding (usual for me). My results are phenomenal! I'm very happy! I would highly recommend this spa for any procedure. They're very professional and friendly. read more

Terrible business practices & customer service unfortunately undermine the nice ambience & decent spa services here. I originally came to Lavande via Groupon & had a good experience, so I rebooked with the spa for my follow-up appointment. The morning of my appointment, they called saying they hadn't received my $50 deposit which I had already paid. That should have been my first red flag. A few hours before my scheduled time, I was texted that they needed to move my appointment up a couple of hours. I had already made the 40 mile trip up to the area, but had other engagements scheduled for the afternoon, so unfortunately could not accommodate their last minute change request. After much back & forth via text I find that they can't get me in the following weekend & they're actually closing the spa early today due to a cancellation before me (highly unprofessional). I wanted the service I'd booked & I'd already driven up to North County, so I cancel one of my other commitments (yoga class- $15 late-cancellation fee that I've now eaten personally) to make it in by their new, obviously unposted/unplanned closing time. I, fairly graciously given the circumstances (see screenshots), ask for some kind of a discount/concession on my services to compensate for this, to which they offered & then immediately rescinded a $20 credit to my Alle (frequent customer type) account. I called in & spoke to the manager, Jay, but he didn't seem terribly concerned about keeping good/repeat customers. I guess I see why they need to be on Groupon now to pull in new customers to make up for those they lose with such poor business practices & customer service- duly noted not to choose my next medispa from there, sorry Groupon. The best he could offer was a discount on my next service- but why on earth would I subject myself to these poor business practices again?! Their cancellation policy, if you're a client, is to keep your $50 deposit if you cancel/change within 48 hours. Apparently they will late-cancel on you with a couple hours notice & zero consequences other than losing customers/negative reviews online (a couple things they didn't seem too concerned about obviously). So now here I am eating the cost of a 80+ mile round-trip (I know, shame on me for not going with one of the closer medispas since they're a dime a dozen in SoCal, but I did actually think I liked this place until they screwed me over today), a late-cancel fee on ClassPass from attempting to accommodate this spa's poor planning/business practices, & looking for a new medispa.
