I am absolutely furious with my eyebrow wax. I declined multiple times because I prefer to do my own. She insisted she would not change the shape and would just clean up. My eyebrows are completely ruined. She overly thinned them, shortened them, they're different lengths from the center, reduced my arch, and have completely different angles. After crying most of yesterday because it's my face, I'm just livid every time I look in the mirror. I'm mostly angry at myself for letting her pressure me. I'm just hoping that they grow back nicely and not patchy so I can fix them. Now, I have to deal with months of the awkward growing out phase if they grow back properly with any luck.

It was really unbalanced between sides, didn't feel that she understood how to move, manipulate, or release muscles. For half the massage she rubbed up and down my spine with her elbow and arm. In the "reflexology special" that is added to a 75 min massage, it was as if she didn't know what reflexology is - it felt like she was scanning my foot with a soft stone?? No pressure points, no tension release. I walked into the massage complaining of pain in middle and lower back, I walked out oily and confused. After the massage the pain in my lower back increased throughout the day where it became excruciating to walk. The reviews on their website are misleading, lamest massage ever. For the quality of the massage therapist and facilities (no specified place to wash off the oil after the massage) not worth the money, at all.

She had called ahead and was told this would be fine. However, she was told they do not allow any outside food and drink despite her calling previously. So, they took them and we had to collect them when we left. Fine, no big deal if that's their policy. They should make sure everyone is aligned on that fact though. Then, we asked if it would be possible to shift an umbrella so all of us could have some shade (it was sunny and hot and we are fair skinned). We were told we are absolutely not allowed to move any umbrellas or chairs whatsoever. Again, we are paying close to 1,000 for our day and we can't even shift an umbrella to make everyone comfortable? Wild! Overall there were several small instances of this nature where the staff wasn't very accommodating or friendly. 2. Facilities. WAY too small for the amount of people they book for services. The locker room is incredibly tiny and not large enough for everyone to comfortably change. There are only two women's bathrooms and they are located in the spa locker room. Not close to the pool and there were lines for the bathrooms at multiple times. Overall some of the facilities were a bit run down and cramped. In my opinion, if you're considering a spa day, go to Rancho Valencia. You'll get your money's worth there. Friendlier staff, nicer facilities, better food, and an overall better experience. Will not be booking again at RB Inn.

Ling started with a scalp analysis to check the condition of my scalp before and after the treatment, and the improvement was amazing. I chose the stress head spa treatment, and it was incredibly detailed and deeply relaxing. Joann performed my service, and she was absolutely wonderful--my scalp felt fresh and my hair felt so smooth afterward, and the tonics and products she used smelled incredible and felt even better. Beyond the scalp treatment, she also included a neck and back massage along with some stretching, which was far more than I expected. My mom had a facial with Lily, and we both also got massages from Ling--she was absolutely thrilled with her experience. I can't wait to book my next session. From my very first appointment, Coco made an excellent impression. She is extremely professional, welcoming, accommodating, and most importantly, an amazing massage therapist. I've enjoyed my experience so much that getting a massage every other Saturday has become part of my regular routine. I usually book the first appointment at 9:30 a.m. and do a two-hour combination of Swedish and Thai massage. It has been incredibly rejuvenating, especially after dealing with ongoing back discomfort and the everyday wear and tear on my body. Coco does a fantastic job of making you feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment you arrive. She takes her time, pays attention to the areas that need the most work, and you can tell she genuinely takes pride in what she does. I always leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, and rejuvenated. The staff has also always been friendly and very accommodating with scheduling, which I truly appreciate. I'm sure the other massage therapists at Massage Hut are wonderful as well, but as they say, first impressions mean everything, and Coco made such a great impression that I've continued coming back to her. Per staff if using online booking we have to book it at least a day before (good to know, although I wish we had that heads up/information somewhere to be informed about it). Last time I have booked a massage a day before only to be called on the day of the massage 2 hours earlier than the supposed scheduled massage if they could move it on a later time which I couldnt agree cause of prior comitments I had for that day so I ended up being cancelled. The Lomi Lomi massage is the best! I felt so relaxed and pampered. I had the enzyme facial with Anne, the products used were excellent and my skin was glowing. Anne gave me a face massage that was incredible... I left the treatment area feeling amazing! We had lunch by the spa pool and the servers were very friendly, and the lunch was fresh and tasty. My favorite spa is Mokara at Omni in Austin and this blew Mokara out the water so I have a new favorite. The food was delicious. And since we were not staying at the hotel, we valet with the hotel to go to the park and the spa validated parking so that's a nice benefit. I can't wait to visit again. This was the most aesthetically beautiful property. Service was good and my massage room was very minimal but I do wish the massage tables came heated, since it got cold in my room. While my massage had heated parts like a warm neck pillow and a warm washcloth to wipe off the oil, I still got a little chilly and requested a blanket on top of my sheet. Just a suggestion.
