Came here for dinner on a Monday night with hubby and a couple of friends, one of whom had a birthday. We ordered a tiramisu-tini, lychee-tini, spicy edamame appetizer, samosa appetizer, coffee rubbed steak, sizzling scallop hot plate with veggies, spicy General Tso's chicken, and the mapo tofu. We brought our own cake for the occasion. What's Hot - Health and safety. All their staff wore face masks. There's a sign taped on their front door requiring unvaccinated customers to wear masks. They didn't appear to be confirming vaccination, which isn't good. But that their staff were all wearing masks was a good sign. We also saw some of their staff wear gloves. - Menu variety. I'm not a fan of Asian fusion restaurants. I admit that I'm an Asian food snob cuz I'm a native Californian. To be fair, their menu items aren't so bad. There's some Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and other Southeast Asian cuisines. It's also not the stereotypical Asian dishes. They venture into more ethnic dishes, which I appreciate. For example, there's sushi, Chinese food, noodle dishes, rice dishes, a good variety of ethnic veggie dishes, etc... - Drinks menu. They have a nice drinks menu with a good variety of cocktails, beers, and wines. They also seem to cater towards the Asian fusion cocktails, including drinks like lychee martinis, soju, etc... - Quality. For an Asian fusion restaurant, it's not so bad. My scallop hot plate was well-seasoned and delicious. Although their samosas are not Indian samosas, they were still tasty and had a delicious sweet dipping sauce. Their lychee martini and tiramisu martini are delicious and not commonly found in other restaurants, which is a nice change. What's Not - Price. For drinks, appetizer, and 2 meals, the total came out to over $100, without tip (for my husband and I). For a more upscale Asian fusion restaurant, it's not good value for money. I've definitely had better Asian food. - Quality. Hubby's coffee rubbed steak was flavorful, but not tender. The somosas are not Indian samosas, but a weird Asian fusion samosa that's wrapped in phyllo dough and the stuffing was minimal. The mapo tofu sauce didn't taste like the right sauce and it wasn't spicy. The General Tso's chicken wasn't spicy, either, and our friend specifically asked for it to be spicy (not mild). The food flavors are more subtle and dulled than what the real ethnic food is supposed to be. - Portions. For the price they charge, it's not a very good value for money. The portions per person are enough to get you full, but it's definitely not good for family style sharing, which is what Asian dining is supposed to be. - Service. Bad service. To be fair, they appear somewhat short staffed, which is common during this time of the pandemic. However, their staff do not appear to be organized. They appear to be running around, which makes it difficult to get what you need. Be prepared to wait and put in more time and effort to get what you need. - Parking. It's mostly street parking in the area, which isn't bad, but it can be difficult to find depending on what time of day you come. Additionally, it's metered paid parking, so be prepared. Final Answer Willing to come back, but it's not a first choice. read more

They started way overcharging by upping their prices for already meager portions and mediocre food. $4 for a small white rice that should've been included with the meal is insane. While I like the servers, I will take my business elsewhere. The total for 1 mapo tofu with white rice and 1 serving of six dumplings was $37 for takeout. read more

First time here and it was an amazing experience! Exceptional service, considering they were jammed packed and the bar was filled! We didn't have to wait for our drinks or food! The food was amazing! You get the Boston experience out in Concord that's for sure! Delish! Wonderful, will definitely be back!! read more

This place! The decor, atmosphere! Huge menu! Food is so tasty! We have tried so many dishes. Try it you will have a delicious meal.

Karma was very decent Chinese fusion food. My favorite was the Chinese broccoli...nice and crunchy. The Phad Thai was decent too but they could have had a little bit more vinegar and sweetness to it to make it a really good phad thai. The General Gau chicken was good too. Ambience is hip. Service was friendly. Nice neighbourhood gem. read more

I had dinner here with a friend on Saturday and the place was busy. The wait for the table wasn't too long as we arrived towards the end of the dinner rush. The ambiance and decor is beautiful. We ordered some sushi, salt and pepper chicken wings, edamame and some drinks. Everything was excellent! The waitstaff was very attentive. The owners came over and greeted us and made sure everything was good. If you haven't been to Karma, please go. You will enjoy it as much as we did. read more

I was very surprised to see this place was very crowded during the weekday night. We came with a party of 6 and they told us that we should have a reservation. If they had a reservation function on their homepage, I would definitely do that. Maybe that's an improvement for the future. In any case, the hostess put together three tables quickly and let us seated. Because we came for Chinese food, I have to say this place does not offer authenticate Chinese dishes. However, some are better than the others. We ordered gyoza (actually this is Japanese style dumplings, and good), duck bao buns (good), tangerine chicken (ok), okra (good), black pepper filet mignon (beef is perfect but the rest part is ok), Cantonese lobster (good but very expensive, $50 for a single lobster), duck with plum sauce (ok and very salty), and beef chow foon (ok). Given the average review being four stars, I think maybe their Japanese dishes are better than Chinese ones but that's for next time. read more

Amazing food, cocktails. Lively ambiance and waitstaff. One of the best Asian dining restaurants in this area.

Used to be Great Drinks are weak and expensive Food is good but take out a second mortgage Used to love this place read more

The 2 of us wanted a light meal and ordered Pad Thai. The Server asked is that all? We said we were planning to split it. She immediately said it was only serving enough for one person. So we ordered another entrée - General Tso chicken. When the food arrived, it was obvious the Pad Thai was plenty enough for 2+ with some leftover. I feel the waitress wanted us to order more than one entree just to make it more profitable for the business. Food was ok (2stars) but not special. I was not happy with the deceit in order to get us to order more food. We won't be coming back. read more

Karma - Concord - General Tso's Chicken- just ok. - Asian Fusion Near Me - Concord, Massachusetts

This is our go to Asian restaurant. Good sushi and a wide variety of Asian fusion dishes. I keep trying different dishes and I have yet to be disappointed. read more

We went to Karma in Concord MA this weekend and the food was amazing! Every part of the experience was great - ambiance, food and service. I think that part of the "fusion" experience is how they prepare some standard dishes, like sushi which is what my wife and I had. The flavors were absolutely amazing with fresh herbs and spices. I think that Karma is busy most nights so make sure to make reservations. We ate at 5pm and there was no problem but it really filled up while we were there. read more

I had high hopes for this place. Very elegant and tasteful, but the food was not what I expected. Overpriced and underwhelmed. Not bad, but not the caliber of what I expected. If you like spicy you will be thrilled to know most of the dishes are spicy, which did not go well for my business associate and lunch meeter of the day. The ceviche was delicious. Small portion, but not lacking flavor, and nicely presented in the chipped plate (most of their plates were chipped). Good quality fish, nice rolls, but nothing as spectacular as the location's looks would suggest. The pad thai was short on protein, very short. Good. And I give them the fact they didn't make it too sweet. Short on protein. Bummer. Not worth my drive from Hudson. Now 80 Thoreau, across the street... I will walk barefoot and through fire for them. Don't get me wrong people, I'm ok paying for food. As long as the food is par with what they are charging. read more

Let me first start off by stating I unfortunately never got to eat in person and the menu is insane; And I have to try way more things but I ended up with the Pad Thai. My father and friend said their meals were great, but unfortunately I can't go all in depth on what appears to be a fantastic menu. this review is strictly the Pad Thai. I've had hundreds of Pad Thais and the main factor that determines the eatability is the noodles. Karma does not use "MAMA noodles" - these are legit and super tasty. The shrimp were good, but the chicken I wish were a bit bigger chunks. Speaking of big, the portions of this is decent so can easily be split/share meals, or save half for the next day depending on your hunger (especially with apps). Overall I enjoyed the dish a lot and will need to stop by Concord (although out of the way) to see what Karma's cooking. Edit: I had the curry Chicken the next day and it was fantastic. Highly recommend and would love to have again. read more

Came for lunch. They have a decent lunch special menu. Soup. Appetizer. Main. For around $10. I wasn't fond of the hot and sour soup - too much cornstarch. But the gyoza and green beans were perfect. Waitress kept the water glasses full. And service was quick. I read more

New modus operandi- loud music! We, as well as our table neighbours , asked to turn it down- " I can't," said Sam the veteran desk person, " I'm new here." " don't lie to us all, " we responded, he hid his head. He's been there years. Plus, the new rule, 90 minutes and " you need to leave, we have another reservation." Since when? We asked for no onions, allergy related, and received onions in our dishes. Time to move on to another restaurant after years of dedication to this Karma. Disappointed read more

Went to the Concord location. The food was ok, not great. The service was the worst I've seen in a very long time. The waiter hovered and interrupted us several times, trying to get us packed before we were ready, in what seemed to be an effort to get us to leave. There were several empty tables, and we didn't stay very long. The rude behavior cut our stay short, and left a bad taste. Even though the place was half empty, it was loud and not conducive to conversation. I will not go there again read more

To start, the interior of this restaurant is beautiful and chic. We don't eat around Concord very often, so I was surprised by their sushi quality here. My favorite appetizers consisted of the tuna taco, papaya salad, and salmon ceviche. Also recommend trying their photogenic cocktails! Can't wait to be back. read more

This is a very popular place, 90% occupied on a rainy workday evening. The bar and decor have a great style. Food is maybe a 3.5 star. We ordered 2 appetizers: karma three layers and chongqing spicing chicken. Despite their small portion and the excess batter on the fried chicken, they are pretty good. However the main dishes are a bit disappointing. Seafood on fire has an extremely tiny portion (looks like an appetizer to me) and tastes bland. Duck on plum sauce is over cooked for sure, very salty and hard to chew. The only good thing about it is it's boneless. I'm guessing people like it here mostly because of the bar and the nice dining atmosphere. Their price is very high compared to other Asian fusion restaurants, yet the food does not meet expectations. I would not come here again. read more

I get take out here all of the time and I am generally satisfied with it, but last night I ordered the shrimp ginger scallion dish. It was awful. There were about 7 shrimp total and few scallions very little ginger and a mountain of cooked onions which isn't even mentioned in the dish online. I also ordered the Thai spicy soup, also a ton of onions. It is maddening when a vegetarian or pescatarian dish is loaded with onions. It seems like a cost cutting tactic. read more

I've been to Karma so many times and Karma never disappointed me. Karma is always my first choice! Their sushi are always fresh and flavorful, all of the specials rolls are sooooo delicious, NO SOY SAUCE IS NEEDED. I'm a salmon lover, my favorite sushi appetizers are king salmon crispy kale and king salmon fingerling potato, these are the special nigiri that are NOT ON THE MENU, it's a must try!! My favorite rolls are lemon basil salmon maki and baked salmon maki. Tuna truffle is also a must try, the truffle and the crispy onions are perfect match with the fresh tuna! Other than sushi, they also have great variety of chinese food. Black pepper udon noodles and crispy angle hair noodles are my favorites. Their food quality and service are both awesome, servers are very attentive, it's definitely worth the price! LOVE KARMA!!! read more

Well, a wonderful surprise. The shumi were absolutely fresh and tasty. Filling was still chunky. Not a paste. Very delicate wrapper. In a steam basket with a chili sauce dip . At $10-4 it was worth it. I had the hainese chicken. Just WOW Next time at Hanscom, I Will stop again. read more

Stir fried thin noodles are fire, pineapple fried rice is fire and super cute, sashimi is fire too, spring rolls fire, chicken fingers fire, sushi fire. One of my fav rolls (besides my salmon avocado rolls) is the lemony roll- lemon basil maki or hipster maki I believe. Whatever it is, GORGEOUS!!!! Also, they make hand rolls, which are always fire. I have eaten at Karma a few dozen times at this point and have yet to have a meal that wasn't great. It only takes a few times in for them to start treating you like family. The service is incredible. The owners are always present checking on the dining room and making sure that everything is running smoothly. The hosts, bartenders, and servers are friendly and welcoming. The food at Karma is exceptional. The sushi is the best I have had outside Boston/Cambridge. The simple preparations highlight the quality of the ingredients and the more intricate ones show off the sushi chef's creativity. If you aren't in the mood for sushi the rest of the menu has loads of delicious options covering a variety of Asian cuisine. To wash it all down there is a full bar with a great assortment of drinks. The house favorite is the Megan's Mai Tai, named for the owner. It doesn't taste like it but it really packs a punch. My most highly recommend dishes include the tuna taco, prepared table side, it's a spicy tuna served over wanton crisps. The pan fried gyoza is always excellent. The spicy bomb with lobster is an incredible dish. It's fatty and spicy with tempura lobster and a nice kick of hot sauce. Be sure to eat the lime, rind and all for maximum flavor. The pad Thai and basil fried rice are solid choices if you are a more traditional eater. And if you want an off the menu surprise order the "salmon on fire" which is thin strips of salmon over an open fire which you can cook to your desired doneness. For sushi, it's hard to go wrong, but a few of my personal favorites include the saba sushi which is a pickled mackerel that has a strong fishy and strong vinegar taste at the same time. (Not for everyone) Also amazing is the spicy tuna tempura with volcano which includes baked spicy scallop. You also can't go wrong with more traditional sushi like a yellowtail and scallion maki, a sake nigiri, or a crazy maki which includes shrimp tempura and spicy tuna. Kara is a hot spot in Concord and can be very crowded, especially on the weekends so it's best to have a reservation. The decor is modern with Egyptian glass tile and wooden woven light fixtures. It's a welcoming environment and you will see large groups, first dates, and families with little kids all sharing the same space. If you come when a movie is filming in Concord, you are likely to spot a celebrity grabbing sushi. It's hard not to love Karma. It has been my go to spot since it opened two years ago and has yet to disappoint. It's not cheap, but nothing in Concord is. If you do go in, tell them I sent you. I hope you will love it as much as I do. read more

Went back to Karma in Concord after spending a day at Walden Pond. They have great Thai food and sushi at Karma. They told us to order take-out online, but I don't see how it's possible on their website!

I don't really know why this place has 3 stars. I think Karma is one of the better Asian Fusion restaurants that I've been to. Staff super friendly. Sushi rolls were good. Pad Kee Mao was amazing 5/5. Pad Thai was 4/5. Duck bao buns 3/5. Fried rice 3.5/5 We didn't have to wait because we got there 3 ok on a rainy Sunday but I heard that there is usually a line and that it's prettying happening weekend nights. read more

The best! Fresh ingredients. Not overly done with sauces and spices. Even the fried rice is not deep brown like most places - it's white with fresh veggies and protein. Sure it's pricey but you get what you pay for. read more

Food was fantastic. Service was good. We split the check. After each of us had signed our credit card statements, the server came back to the table to state that someone had not left enough of a tip. Large take out order for Mother's Day. We love Karma and order from them often. On this 2025 Mother's Day we placed a ex-large order for our family to eat at home because of the size of our family we would have taken up to much space. First of all I was assured that my order would be in good hands by the gentleman that I place it with in person. On Sunday It was to be ready for pick up at 12;30 and I had someone that was going to be picking it up on there way to us. I received a phone call from Karma at noon and they left a message if I wish to come earlier my order would be ready. I call right back and told them that No one would be there till 12:30 they said ok. Order was ready (more like it had been sitting for 40 minutes ready at noon). Sushi we ordered was great. Everything else besides Sushi was cold. (crab Ragoons, general gue Chicken, Noodles, Soups ETC. Lots of money plus tip. This is not what I ordered for Mother's Day. Cold Food. 2 items missing completely. I will think twice before ordering take out from them in the future. Very Dissappointed. read more

Karma is amazing. The food is fantastic. Their hot and sour soup is one of the best that I've ever had. The service is attentive and communicative, especially at the bar. I haven't tried their cocktails but their sushi is some of the best. The sushi chefs can get a little backed up, because it's so good, but worth the wait. Karma has become a regular lunch spot on the weekends. I've been back several times. I've been to their Burlington location which is also top notch. They do a great job. One note of caution for the Concord location is that, even though they open at 11:30 on the weekends, they're not service ready at open. They're typically mopping the floors, so you may have to wait to be seated. They usually have their stuff together by noon. read more

Always excellent food. We tend to spend about 20% more on a dinner here than typical for us, but it is worth it.

I had the opportunity to try Karma out recently. The food was excellent. The presentation of our selections were excellent. The amount of food was just right. Karma infuses their own signature on recipes that I have found in other establishments. The food did not disappoint. The service was great. The wait staff and management made sure everyone was taken care of and had what they needed. Our party of three were able to enjoy our meal without distraction from other clients. Karma is great for both formal and informal occasions. I highly recommend Karma. read more

This is one of Metrowest tops Asian restaurants. Sushi and Chinese style dishes are my favorite.

The food was marginal. The service was excellent. The worst part was charging $5 extra for brown rice, instead of white rice, with our meal! This came as a surprise with our check! No thank you! read more

This is slightly above average sushi. We got some week ago, and I felt that the quality was good although servings of fish were modest. They were pretty well organized, and our order was ready when I got there. I would order from here again partly because it is close to where we live, but I wish there was a really high-end sushi place in the area. I have eaten sushi in Hawaii and California and it's really hard to find very high-quality sushi in the Northeast. There's only a few places including Sakura Bana in downtown Boston that have truly great sushi. read more

Can not say enough positive things about this place!! First time went for the chow fun noodles, fried rice, plus some sushi and everyone was eating each other's dishes it was so flavorful!! The outdoor seating is a nice COVID bonus, but the interior is quite lovely. Second time, got a beef, a chicken, and a pork dish PLUS more sushi.
