Upon ordering an overpriced, mediocre sandwich, I asked the lady working there about this sign they had by the register. The sign said "Free pastry when you leave us a review!" So I asked the lady working there about it, and she very rudely said "NOTHING is free here!". When she handed my food, I told her that they should take that sign off,and that she didn't have to be so rude about it. She then told me that I was "crazy for expecting anything for free in this country." Very rude, overpriced, and the food is not worth it! I like this bakery because it's off the grid and it's little not so packed so I come here often. I've been disappointed because it's noon on a Sunday and you have no ham croquettas. What is this? I've been coming to this bakery since I was a kid and absolutely loved it. Their pastries were always perfect and the service was always good. Today I thought I'd check in for the first time in a long time. What a HUGE disappointment. The service is horrible. They charged me for empanadas (which I asked for) and gave me pastelitos instead. And the quality is..... well look at the crap in the picture. The pastelitos are dry, burnt and the stuffing has dropped all Out in the cooking. The croquetas are hard, dry and tasteless. It satisfied my sweet tooth and even though the employees were a bit dry, the food was excellent! I did pop in around 2 AM so I don't really expect everyone to be chipper, however there could be at least a smile on the face. The overall place looked old yet clean and had a couple of restaurants open around it which kept the place pretty lit as I do not like going to dark Indian places after hours. Love their croquettes! Ham, chicken, cheese! All of it is sooooo good! Ordered a chicken Cuban sandwich... OMG! So good! They give so much for a low price! Fries and a drink for $7. The Cuban breads are huge and that's what they make the whole sandwich with! I had lunch and dinner for just $7! The roasted pork sandwich is also delicious! Definitely worth every penny! They're open 24 hours a day! The most important things in running a business is customer service, efficiency and organzation. You would think a bakery would have empanadas and croquetas right? Well, this wasn't the case today!
