    Tres leches
    Audrey S.

I never see anyone in here and always see a ton of pastry on their shelves at closing time. Always wondered what they do with it. I now know the old pastry stays on the shelves and eventually gets sold because my cuatro leches had mold underneath the dulce de leche. The girl was nice and replaced it with tres leches she said was more fresh but still, ew.

I'd like to start by saying that this has been my go to cuban bakery for years. Quality of their pastelitos was once amazing, then it went to mediocre and currently they are back to being pretty good. Service for me has been consistently good but I have noticed when they get swamped the atmosphere can get tense. I typically get the tostada and cafe con leche. Because in true cuban fashion, one must dip their tostada in the coffee. I also grab a a couple of pastelitos (usually the guava and cheese and the meat) to complete the cuban breakfast pyramid. I'm surprised by the many negative reviews but I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

I believe this bakery has been around for many years and I don't think they have gotten renovated in awhile. The place needs it so bad. Service is good, they are nice, the food is delicious especially breakfast and the desserts are very good.

Café con leche and spinach croquetas.

Croquetas are life. Ham ones, chicken ones, mixed ones - I love 'em all! Enter the latest in my love: spinach croquetas, and hello, Ricky Bakery, you are my provider for them. See, it all started as follows. We often have breakfast potlucks at work. On many occasions, people have brought croquetas, and better still, they have brought spinach croquetas. Now I am used to traditional meat-filled croquetas, but I tried the spinach ones and it was love at first bite. Hence, I needed to know where they were bought at and so I was told of this place. I finally had the opportunity to visit a couple of mornings back. The place is one of the few in the area with its own designated parking spaces, so yay to free parking. That aside, it's a decent size; plenty of chairs and tables available to sit down and have a quick breakfast. The lady who attended me was nice. I was in and out quickly. Two things to note, however: 1) Speaking Spanish here will make your life much easier; 2) You have limits to use a card. Credit cards: $5; Amex: $10.

This is one of those good old reliable spots for pastelitos and Cuban pastries/desserts. This shop is conveniently located on Coral Way, and it has a large parking lot, which is always full, so parking on the street is your alternative. I have been stopping here for years, I really like how reliable they are. Never have I had a bad pastry, bread, sandwich, or coffee here. However, I would skip the breakfast menu, which is ridden with oil and fat, cheese and butter. I have never ordered a Cuban cake (Kay-cee-tow), or one of their party packages, so I don't know about that. But everything under the glass is good. Looking for fresh orange juice? They have it. There is a big imaginary sign that reads "Only Spanish", so use your translate option here, or learn to use it. Want croquetas? They'll fry them on the spot for you. Does it get any better? Muy Bueno. Muy Bonito.

This is the case with my Apple Air Pods that was lost / pilfered at Ricky Bakery on 01-22-23.
    Luis H.

On Sunday, January 22 I had breakfast at the Coral Way location, and unfortunately I lost my Apple Air Pods (which are paired to my iPhone). I returned on Monday night to retrieve them and the employees told me to come back on Tuesday to see Conchita (manager). I went back on Tuesday morning and explained everything to her. She refused to help me, even though my Air Pods are still in the building. I showed Conchita and the other employees the "Find My" screen on my phone, which clearly showed that the Air Pods are somewhere in their kitchen. None of them wanted to go in there and look. They even denied the Air Pods are in the building! They said "your iPhone is wrong". My iPhone is paired to my Air Pods, as well as other devices whose locations are accurate. It's crazy. I have been a Ricky Bakery customer for 15 years. They know me, they see my face all the time and this is how they treated me.

Always excellent cafe con leche and pastelitos. Wonderful workers as well. Preferred over the other larger chain.

If you choose cupcake, cakes, slices or cookies you will not be disappointed. Her assortment of flavors is always delicious and amazing. We usually get mini cupcakes, but we needed a medium cake for my father-in-law's 95th birthday. This is a cake that serves over 40 people. It was delicious but for $180 I wish the writing would've been better. My 11-year-old son's handwriting is much better than this. I knew it wouldn't be that fancy. They've never been great about decorating cakes, but I really wish they could find people with good handwriting. Or at least offer some kind of plastic cake options that say happy birthday. And maybe a stencil to write the person's name in.? This is probably the six or seventh cake I've ever ordered from them and the handwriting always looks subpar. Luckily, the taste is always amazing. Pro Tip #1 if you can, try to order cake toppers, or other decorations as they don't do too much decoration wise. Pro Tip #2 always try to keep the main frosting white. Colored frosting never tastes as good as just plain white and her white frosting is amazing.
