Two years ago, I had an unfortunate experience regarding food hygiene at the establishment. I found a hair in my meal, and when I brought this to the owner's attention, the focus seemed to shift towards defending her actions rather than addressing my concerns. Ultimately, the owner did apologize and offered gift cards, but by that point, I felt that the initial concern had not been adequately addressed. I believe that improving the response to such situations could enhance customer satisfaction in the future. When I shared my experience online this week the owner chose to go back and forth with me and once again minimized the sanitation issue.

My fiancé and I were looking for some grub. We were in the area and decided to check out a new-to-us spot. So glad we landed here. We just missed the lunch special by about 10 minutes, but arrived just in time to be early for happy hour. The menu options are all tempting and plentiful. I wanted everything. We ordered almost everything on the right side of the menu, lol What we had: Appetizers/Sides *HENNY CORNBREAD MUFFINS *EGG ROLLS - YAMMY (yams + macaroni and cheese) *EGG ROLLS - JERK CHICKEN *PLANTAINS *CARIBBEAN CABBAGE *MACARONI AND CHEESE Entrée *CHICKEN RASTA PASTA *OXTAIL + RICE AND PEAS Booze *me: WATERMELON SLUSHIE *he: LONG ISLAND ICED TEA *we: RUM PUNCH + BACARDI 151 Dessert *HENNY PEACH COBBLER Everything was so good -- flavorful, just enough spice, hearty portions. First time stopping in this place and they can cook. The menu is kind of a soul food Caribbean sort of morph. I had a fried pork chop sandwich which was nicely seasoned but there was no mayo or nothing on the bread it was just dry white bread. I took that home so I can fix it up to my liking. Jerk wings are really good, whole wings. They clearly use HOT jerk seasoning rather than mild - which can become kind of overbearing unless you like your food bitterly hot. I don't. My business partner had some whiting, greens, and yams. The whiting was excellent - very nicely seasoned and moist. The greens were good too. I'd give them a a solid 8 and 1/2 for 9 out of 10. We both agreed the "Henny" yams are like baby food. Overly sweet baby food pie filling mush. The cornbread muffin, on the other hand, was excellent. They say it's regular cornbread but I swear it's moist, sweet and delicious like cake. Like a sweet potato cake muffn. The drinks are fountain and the lemonade one didn't have anything, but water in it. They must have ran out of lemonade. You order at the counter and the cashier brings you to your food. There's a bar with beer and wine too, which is a nice touch. I saw three mixing machines with different daiquiris in them as well. It's really kind of a cafe quick serve establishment... but with a liquor license. Flat screens on the walls, none but one was turned on. This place has good ambiance, decent bathrooms and a creatively enticing menu. It's worth a stop if you happen to be in the area.

I've been coming here for going on 3 years and I promise you I will never be back. The service continues to go further and further down hill. The young lady that works the front counter makes it her mission to let you know how much you ordering is a burden to get. Today I went in I have over 700 points which they have always marketed you can use 100 points for 5 dollars off. Today I go in to use my points and of course now it takes 3 people to push the is through they only allow me to use one of the coupons then say they are rolling back the rewards program. So I ask can I use them on desserts and I'm told yes then I go to order desserts one by one (which total over 5 dollars per purchase so either way they are still making more money) and I'm told oh wait it only applies to specific dessert the ones that happen to be out of stock. I ask can i use it on normal food items she says yes, then i ask to order another item and use my points Now it's you have to spend 25 dollars to use your dollars off. I ask to cancel my order she ask the guy in front of her in the kitchen if it's been started he said they haven't worked and and she turns around as if I'm not 1 for from them to tell me they already started cooking it so it can't be canceled. Mind you my food was given to me with an attitude, and lukewarm. Note the owners snarky remarks on my Google review show where they stand. But since I can't reply to them there no I was joy upset I couldn't use all my points at once nor would using all my points have made my order free. I'm glad to see how they treat the community that has supported them. I was upset that the cashier made it feel like it was a bother to take my order in the first place and then the rules behind using my points changed 4 times in 10 minutes even after confirming with her before trying to make the next transaction. A simple message of "Hello ma'am we are changing our reward system after super bowl weekend and currently points can only be applied once on a purchase of 25 dollars or more" would have given me as a patron and understanding as to this policy change without it coming across as personal because there wasn't a single message and the constraints kept changing on the spot. Love a business who can't take criticism and I stand by my word I pray they get everything they deserve . Furthermore as the "Owner" how am I ask random customer supposed to know who you are to address you about my service. If you were as you say "waiting for me to leave a review" then the fact that you had a disgruntled customer was apparent and you made ZERO attempt to address me or the situation. But that's yall standard of care I see.

The food was great ! We got oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage and jerk ribs. Sadly they were out of jerky Turkey wings but due to their large menu it wasn't too much of an issue. Oxtail ??? Yeah baby there was meat on those bones which is very rare from Caribbean spots. There was so much meat it was so tender and flavorful. The cabbage was beyond amazing I loved it so much and I thought I wouldn't. Now the rice and peas weren't really rice and peas it was dry, hard and didn't seem to be cooked the right way maybe it wasn't made with coconut milk not sure but not a fan at all. The jerk ribs were great fall off the bone tender definitely smoked not liquid smoke but reallll smoker smoked. Overall great meal

Food was so good , everything was delicious ! The chicken was cooked perfectly, you can tell from the picture! The inside they have a DJ on certain days and more of a "grown and sexy" crowd and music and they're highly rated!

First time here but will definitely come back when I'm in the area. Will probably move to 5 stars after the second go around. The restaurant has an open dining room layout with a small bar and TV. Caribbean and bbq/soul food being served out of a small strip mall location. Place was clean and service was good. Food was also excellent - I went with the jerk chicken lunch special with rice. The rice was buttery goodness and the jerk chicken was delicious.

I absolutely love this place. I was so excited to learn that they had extended their hours and that the bar is open. Their pork chops and mac and cheese are top-notch. So delicious. The service and ambiance are always good. Everything is made to order so if you are picking up, order ahead of time.

Here we go family, it's been awhile butim back to share and spread the love that I experience through eating!! I like to give 3 categories, Atmosphere, Service and of course FOOD!! Let's go! Atmosphere - 5 Stars this place is your typical take out with chairs to eat if you would like, nothing complicated or overly fancy. If you want to take out from a place that you could sit and just chill, this is the place. Service - 5 Stars, I was greeted with a smile and they made me feel welcome and shared with me recommendations. Food - 4 Stars my wings were flavorful, I did come back and got the smoke chicken, it wasn't as flavorful as the fried chicken wings but my wife loved the Jerk Chicken sandwich each time we went (2 times). I would tell people to go and get the fried chicken, the rice and peas is ok and the fries are good. read more

I'm only giving this review 3 stars because of the service i received not because of the quality of the food. The food was great but service tonight i think was a bit off. I did an online order and when i arrived my order was ready but the cashier couldn't find/didn't know which was my order even asked if it was under a different name. She then hands me my food and stated i could check it at the back counter. Every meal was made correctly except 1 which was a salmon meal. So i had to wait another 10-15 min for that to be remade. I then get home and realized the $1.50 i paid for extra sauce for both meals wasn't extra sauce at all. I'm not sure if it was the almost closing time caused the carelessness or what but something was definitely off. read more

The interior is nicely decorated. $63 later I had Hennessy Peach Cobbler, 2 Chopped Jerk Chicken, 1Curry Chicken with rice and kidney beans and cabbage, also a side of mac and cheese and greens. After waiting 30 minutes, Upon picking up my food, I was asked to pay an additional $9 for the sides which were already part of my meal, which was eventually straightened out. This food is not authentic. Curry chicken tasted like baked chicken that was sprinkled with curry. Rice and kidney beans, tasted just like that, no coconut milk... Jerk chicken was blah, I got store bought marinade vibes. The food Is extremely overpriced. All chicken was dark meat. It is beyond me why you would chop up legs, and backs. Had to carefully pick through everything for bones. I feel if I would have chosen the soul food items, I may have had better luck. I cannot say I would go back. In response to the owners reply, when I visit a restaurant, I have no intention of critiquing or asking for my food to be remade. The recipes are what they are. I understand the pricing of EVERYTHING has gone up and my concern with the pricing was the quality of the ingredients. I did expect better. Next time I will be sure to take pictures and post to show what I see, lesson for me, thank you. Again, I think this restaurant has something with the soul food. Maybe on another day, a different meal selection I would have something 5 star worthy. Today was just not that day. I took my food home, which was why I did not speak with anyone, nor would I insult your business by asking for a refund or to have my food remade. How would that help your business? I would assume you put your best foot forward each time the doors open. Positive feedback should always be welcome. Please commend the staff for their friendliness.. The decor is wonderful... please see there was more than just the food. Every restaurant has good and bad days. My wife and.I heard about Ka'ribbean Fire and decided to them for lunch. The place is pleasantly surprising when entering. Nice setting and really clean with a warm friendly staff. Once we ordered our food we had a bit of a wait but it was well worth it. My wife ordered the Rasta shrimp and salmon pasta and I went with the Cajun perked ribs and white chicken with the 2 sides of Mac and cheese and yellow rice. The Rasta sauce has a pleasant bite to it and enhances the dish to perfection. The ribs were cooked to perfection as was the chicken breast and it was delicious. The yellow rice was perfect but the Mac and cheese stole the show. This should be its own food group and they have a Cajun shrimp version? I know what I'm trying the next time. They also told me they do shrimp and grits with either the Cajon sauce or Rasta...you have to call ahead for that. I 100% recommend this spot. Mongo read more

I can't say enough about this place. The food is absolutely amazing. The cornbread is slightly sweet and perfect. The Egg rolls were outstanding and the crab cake and shrimp Mac and cheese will make you want to slap your momma for not cooking like this when you were younger. The collard greens were so good, I got an order to go. It was more of a soul food than Caribbean feel but I didn't order the jerk chicken so there is that. The "Cajun spices" could have been a bit hotter but would have probably scared people off. If you like it spicy, possibly ask them to kick up the spice. I'd be here once a week if I lived here. Was so excited to try out this Black woman owned & family operated business and that excitement remains, but I'm going to give them a few months to smooth out some service and operational kinks before I return. Had I not paid in full online prior to arriving to pick up takeout, frankly I'd have left and cancelled the family orders we picked up on Sunday May 1st at around 4:00pm. I'm glad I waited it out and pushed through the hiccups though and do hope they work out their current processes to improve customers' experiences because the service I encountered was a deterrent I would hate to see cause customers to miss the truly outstanding cuisine. With that said... Waldorf / La Plata Yelp Family??? Karibbean Fire's food is REALLY bomb. They definitely are serving up some real FIRE from this spot and that being a 5 star attraction, is without question. My cousin that rarely eats macaroni and cheese was gobbling theirs down like it was his last meal and I can't blame him because it was FIRE! This is the real deal southern style baked Mac & super cheesy cheese you know was made with eggs & butter instead of almond milk and vegan noodles... So if you're looking for calorie savings, you won't find them with this dish LOL... or the bomb sweet cornbread muffins that tasted like my late granny made them, God rest her soul, but those corn muffins were a divine delight to my tastebuds. The same could be said for the smoked turkey seasoned collard greens that my entire family looooved and the cabbage was devoured from everyone's plates in mere minutes. The rice and peas were solid, while not necessarily as exceptional in comparison with other caribbean carryouts I've patronized. The candied yams while tasty, left a little to be desired in the presentation arena as they were a cross between diced and smashed and looked unappetizing despite actually tasting pretty good. My Dad is an avid griller and loves to break out his big boy smoker regularly too, so in his mind he is the grilling and smoking champion of the world, LOL. As his daughter I'll say he's probably a pretty strong contender with some of the best grillers and smokers and he looooveed and raved about the dry rubbed and jerk ribs from this place. He said he couldn't have made them better himself. Hub also agreed they were worth a second trip to have the ribs again and the whole family loved the jerk chicken, too. It was super juicy and flavorful while not necessarily as spicy as some traditional Jamaican jerk we've grown to love. My thought is, barbecue & soul food is where this place shines and would be better suited for their naming convention than the current expectation they are setting of offering Caribbean dishes which honestly were not aligned with traditional Caribbean flavors and preparation we've enjoyed. 10/5 stars for the delectable bbq & soul food and we can't wait for the service kinks to be improved so we can add this into our family platter ordering rotation. read more

I usually eat at this restaurant several times a month. And I LOVE their jerk ribs. So for Thanksgiving this year I wanted to try their jerk turkey breast. Oh my God it was the most juiciest flavourful turkey breast that I've ever had. Usually, breast itself have a tendency of getting dried. Not at all with them. The food was immaculate!! The only thing that was odd is that we had to wait on our drinks to come with our food, when we were eating inside the restaurant. I would also say they need some better seating. Maybe booths and comfortable seats that don't rock back and forth. read more

Found this place on yelp and decided to try. I had the ribs and chicken plate. I really enjoyed the ribs and recommend them to anyone who is trying for the first time. The food here is unbelievably good. My coworker and I went here yesterday after another coworker told us about them. We were not disappointed. When I found out they had cheesecake I had to try it. I have to say that hands down, they have the best cheesecake I've ever had and I pretty much order cheesecake wherever I go, if it's on the menu. Jamaican Food... Unbelievable experience. The customer service, the food, and taste buds. Heard about Karibbean Fire on Facebook. Stopped by there with my mother and her friend. We wanted a quick bite. We had the shrimp mac and cheese, chop jerk chicken, and Hennessey Peach Cobbler. My mouth was doing a flavor dance. Everything was great. Portion side were really good too. I am not a Peach Cobbler fan but, I will definitely returning to get some more cobbler. I can not wait to try other things on the menu. Highly recommend you dine in or out here read more

I ordered the jerk ribs and white meat chicken combo with mac and cheese, a side of greens and sweet potatoes...I wasn't able to try the greens Bc they ran out so I received cabbage instead...everything was delicious and well seasoned...everything was damn delicious...do you hear me? I knew the food would be good Bc it was actually the cashier's mom...there is a long wait but that's Bc she's training her new (young) staff so be patient or order online before 6pm... The customer service was excellent... Next time I'll place my order as soon as they open I hope this business continues to succeed They're really doing their best and you can't beat the quality of this food read more

I ordered for the first time today and I have absolutely no regrets. I got the Shrimp & Salmon Rasta Pasta, a side of cabbage and their cornbread muffins. The pasta was so good, it was spicy but so flavorful. The cabbage was seasoned perfectly and the cornbread was delicious. Posting this review as I leave the establishment. We placed a to-go order at 7:10 pm and was told our food would be 20-25 mins (ordered 2 jerk chicken dinners and a macaroni & cheese entree). So we decided to wait inside. After checking the status after 40 mins of waiting, the food still wasn't ready. It was a full hour later to receive our food. Side note: it was apparent that there were other disgruntled customers who appeared equally frustrated with their wait time as we observed the waiting patrons. The cashier merely handed me the food and not a simple " I apologize for the wait" was uttered. Clear indication that they're completely careless about customer service. If we were to dine-in, an hr wait would still be unacceptable. I'll go all the way back to DC to get my Caribbean food with better service. read more

Went here on a whim. Food was okay. Nothing to run back to for me. I had the rasta pasta... a bit spicy but not too bad. A bit pricey for lunch, which is when I went. Spent $65 on food here. Ugh.. update: to be fair to the business we also ordered the shrimp Macaroni and cheese, a soda and hubby had two bottled bud lights. Still more than expected to pay for lunch. read more

Stop by this place on my way to Virginia for the weekend. Ordered Jerk wings, cabbage and rice, however was charged individually for each item instead of a platter and food came to $25. Got to my destination and chicken was disgusting, not spice at all and rice was very dry. Only thing that was good was the cabbage which was very spicy and delicious. Nothing else tasted spicy and most likely not return. Cashier was very unprofessional and talking on her cellphone the whole time even when other customers came into the establishment. read more

Warm, friendly staff. I got there at the dinner rush and the food took a few minutes but they were apologetic and threw in extra cornbread for my wait. The food itself was superb. Cornbread was and moist. Collards were excellent. And the jerk shrimp had a good kick without being overwhelming. Prices were mid-range, though there were less expensive options on the menu. Everything was top tier! Walking up to the door, you can smell the essence of the food. It was so many delicious options, I couldn't decide what to order so I ordered a few things. I ordered the stuff salmon with two sides which were the cabbage and candy yams. Yummm! I also ordered the crab and shrimp egg rolls. My friend ordered the jerk chicken egg rolls and when I tell you they were BOMB.COM., drinks, service and vibe was top tier. I can't wait to return. read more

Another best kept secret for us savory foodies!!! Family owned and operated. Listen, the cabbage is delicious. The egg rolls and there is this pasta dish with shrimp and crab meat that are my "cheat days--over the weekend GO TO dishes. The Oxtails are also so good. The turkey wings will make you re-think Sunday cooking. The chicken wings make me wanna raise my grandma from the dead. The Rasta pasta is good too. Don't come here if you're on a diet! I've tried one too many times to give this business a chance. Never again. Today I placed an order and my food was supposed to be ready in 45 minutes. We get to the restaurant and they're still smoking the chicken and tell us they need an hour. Why didn't you or text to let the customer know you couldn't fulfill the order on time? You did not call we have our phone records so don't even come back with that lie. Now you have my money and I have to wait for a refund. This is NOT the first time we've experienced this. But surely is the last because we won't be back. Piss poor customer service. read more

So, I tried the oxtail, jerk rib, and chicken Rasta pasta. The pasta was pretty good, but here's the lowdown on the oxtail and ribs - too much salt, like, way too much. The oxtail could've used some extra cooking time; it was a bit tough to get the meat off. Just hoping they dial back on the salt and give those dishes the TLC they deserve. read more

I have ordered here twice just for the chicken Rasta pasta. First time I ordered the shrimp was cooked perfectly but the chicken was very salty. I had tried this spot again hoping the chicken wouldn't be as salty. The shrimp was rubbery and tasted bad. Chicken again was very salty so salty that I had to move the chicken aside because I didn't want it to ruin the taste of the sauce on the pasta. I got there as soon as the doors opened. I was meeting a friend there but I went ahead and ordered. I had a free coupon for their Hennessey peach cobbler. I ordered the seafood roster pasta. It was super delicious and had a kick to it. But I like spicy food. I also have the collard greens and the peach cobbler was amazing. The service was pretty good and the ambience was nice as well. When we brought it to the attention of the staff, the young lady who was our server was busy helping every other table and not looking toward us. I got the attention of the manager and when he came over, I explained that everything (except the baked sweet potato) was cold. He took up both plates, apologized profusely and took the plates into the kitchen. This got the attention of our server and she asked what was wrong. When he explained to her that all of both plates were cold, she finally came over to talk to us and briefly explained they had a new person in the kitchen. I was thinking, if you have a new person in the kitchen, how bad is it when they can't understand that hot food needs to be cooked in order to be considered "hot"? The second plates they brought out were "warmer" than the previous ones but not by much. It was warm enough to eat and it still tasted good, the meat still fell off the bones and it was filling. The "Texas Toast" is NOT Texas Toast, no matter how you define it. In the end, when a restaurant makes a mistake like that, they usually compensate the patrons for their mistake. We were charged full price for our meal, which we paid without a problem, but this was NOT the "A Team" of this restaurant. Don't get me wrong, the food tasted good but the initial presentation wasn't on par with opur previous experience here. We will come back again, hoping they will perform as good as they did the first time we were there.

I came in specifically because I wanted fresh, brick oven-style pizza and did not want chain-style pizza. I ordered the Pandora pizza from the menu because it was advertised with pepperoni, tomato, and fresh mozzarella. That detail mattered to me. I intentionally chose that specialty pizza instead of building my own because fresh mozzarella has a very different taste and quality than the standard low-moisture shredded cheese used on many pizzas. When the pizza came out, it did not taste or look like fresh mozzarella was used. It tasted more like a frozen or chain pizza, which was exactly what I was trying to avoid. When I asked the waiter about it, I was told they did not have fresh mozzarella, even though the menu clearly advertised it. After going back and forth, the server brought out different cheeses, including what appeared to be fresh mozzarella, which only made the situation more confusing. They then remade the pizza with burrata, but it was not properly prepared. The burrata was just placed on top in cold/lukewarm globs and was not melted into the pizza. It was not appetizing and did not resolve the issue. The service got worse from there. After I raised the issue, the waiter stopped coming back to the table. The owner ended up bringing out the additional items I ordered, including dessert. When the bill came, they tried to charge me for both pizzas even though the first pizza was the result of their menu/service issue and was still sitting on the table. I had to push back to have it removed, and the response felt dismissive and unpleasant, as if I was wrong for speaking up. My issue is not that mistakes happen. My issue is that the menu advertised fresh mozzarella, the pizza did not reflect that, the replacement was poorly executed, and the service response made me feel like a problem instead of a returning customer with a valid concern. For pizza specifically, I would not recommend it. If the quality is going to taste like chain pizza, I may as well go to Papa John's, Pizza Hut, Ledo's, or Little Caesars and pay accordingly.

I ate one of the most tender and moist fried chicken breasts that I have ever tasted. the mashed potatoes were fresh, hot and creamy, two types of gravy were offered and both the cornbread and biscuits were tender, flavorful and delicious. The broccoli was steamed but not not floppy and the green salad was a generous portion of green goodness. I could only eat about half of the offerings and the price was less that $12. from where I was sitting, my daughter's bar be que chicken and Mac and cheese looked great and my granddaughters child portion of turkey dinner was as delicious and generous as the adult meals. We will return here again! absolutely amazing!

I did get a freshly heated waffle with pearl sugar and an abundance of fruit. The oat milk in my chai was a generic one, and the chai strong but a bit syrup-y. Having said that, I've spent many years driving through Southern Maryland, and if we've progressed to the point where I'm concerned about the brand of vegetarian/vegan products available, progress has been made. The location is what mattered to me, and for this location, I doubt I could have done better for breakfast.

I ordered the ribs, mac & cheese, and collard greens -- and babyyyyy, when I tell you this food was GOOD, I mean GOOD! The ribs were tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly with sauce all through them. The mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and cheesy the way real homemade mac should be. And the collard greens? Full of flavor and cooked just right. What I love most is that this doesn't taste commercial or rushed. You can taste the love in the food. Real comfort food. Real flavor. Real portions. Let me tell you, Ka'ribbean fire catered for my 70th birthday party and they did not disappoint my guest! My daughter found this restaurant and great reviews on "Thumbtack". My daughter and I went to taste the food to see what we wanted and if the food was to our liking, and the food was so delicious! The owner was pleasant to work with, and the price was reasonable. On the day of my event on 8/30/25, her team was on time, very nice and professional. The best part is the food tasted even better at the event. When you have everyone at your event telling you how good the food was, now that is saying something. My family will always have more food than we need, so every guest was able to take food home. Great job Ka'ribbean Fire, I would recommend you any day. Thanks for the great food and service you provided and for making my party a success! The food was AMAZING. We ordered the Oxtails and also the fried whiting. This was some of the best fried fish I have ever had. the breading was light and it was not greasy at all! The sides were also very good, especially the mac-n-cheese!! The Hennessey peach cobbler is to die for!! The staff were very nice and the owners Nikki and Paul are very nice people( shout out to baby CJ). If you are looking for great food that tastes like home cooking...try out this spot! READ THIS CAREFULLY!!! I wasn't in the mood for Caribbean but everybody was raving about this spot. So I made an online order...that was ready when I got to the restaurant. When I tell y'all...all y'all, that this food made my whole house quiet. Not one word spoken! The first word was D**N!!! This food right here...right here...nothing else to say. This place was AMAZING!!! DEFINITELY worth the wait for the order to be made fresh! I had the catfish, shrimp & grits meal with cabbage and 'Yami' roll which is a combo of yams & Mac n cheese egg roll. EVERYTHING made me feel like I was down south with southern home cookin'.
