Delicious oxtail and jerk chicken, glad there's a spot in Fairfax. There's one half the distance and time, but this one is far superior. The other customers here say this is the spot to go to in Fairfax, and after trying it, I have to agree. I will try the goat curry next...

Small jerk chicken and large ox tail...

Got take out. Large ox tail and small jerk chicken. The large ox tail was $19 with about 5 pieces of ox tail....The small jerk chicken was $10 with about the same amount of protein. I'd say about a quarter chicken. I've been here before but I remember it being better. I don't think the price point makes sense for the amount of ox tail i got. Heard a microwave go off in the back when I ordered and the container is foam. Didn't love that.

This place gets a 5/5 for me. The food was so good I'll be back looking forward to try shrimp curry! Definitely recommend getting beef patty! The staff was quick and kind! Sometimes hard to know when they are open but worth the wait! Also we are still in a pandemic/ recovering from one so understand if hours flux!!

I mean you come here because the closest Jamaican food spot is in Falls Church, then D.C. after that. The spot in Falls Church is way overpriced in comparison to Caribbean Corner. They don't take orders over the phone, online ordering, or anything of the sort. It's a joke in the wall, where you order your food, pay, and wait. No fluff or frills. There's one measley booth where u can wait or eat, but I would HIGHLY suggest taking it to go. When I last came, it was 100 degrees outside and no air was on. It was 12:30pm and they had sold out of all their beef patties, unacceptable. Prices are super cheap and the food is always good. Not sure how clean the kitchen is, but I have a feeling it ain't the cleanest. On my first visit, I wanted the callalou but they didn't have it that day. My guess is they make the food the day before at some grandma's house, then bring it in in the morning. So far, I haven't gotten sick, so that's good right?! LOL! At the end of the day, the food is good and it's cheap. Better than going to McDs w/ a broke down ice cream machine.

I've been on a search for really good Jamaican food and finally found this gem! It's hidden so don't miss it. I got the jerk chicken and it was so good!! They give you a good portion, they're fast, and have good customer service. The owner has been cooking since forever so you know it's legit. Oh I also got the coco bread which is always my favorite. Can't wait to go another time!

    Brown Stew Chicken

I wanted to try some Caribbean food and found this place online. The restaurant itself is kind of a hole in the wall but the food was fantastic. I went in for lunch and the oxtail was not ready yet so I got the brown stew chicken and it was amazing. Every part of the dish was fresh and flavorful. The chicken was fall of the bone tender. Service was nice as well. Paired my meal with a ginger beer. I highly recommend this place if you want authentic, flavorful Caribbean food!

Jerk Chicken, Fried Plantains, rice, cabbage

Great good and nice service. Ordered to-go with 2 others. Curry Shrimp is made when you order so gentleman at the register let us know it will take 20 min. Very considerate to let us know about that. Arranged table and chairs for us while we waited. Again, very nice. Location and parking can be a little hard to find but very worth the effort. Not Pictured: Beef Patty - it smelled too good i didn't want to wait to eat it

Oxtail with rice and peas. Small order comes with 2 oxtails, 2 plantains, and cabbage. Nothing short of awesome.

I finally made it Caribbean Corner and dammit, why did it take me this long?! Hands down the best Jamaican oxtail with rice and peas you'll have in the DMV. And I may even extend that. This little hole in the wall rivals most of the popular Caribbean spots in MD and infamous Jamaica House in Richmond (you heard me). The oxtail falls off the bone, and in spite of the thick ring of fat, it is mostly meat, a good sign of its quality. It looks braised and the bed of rice and peas on which the meat is served soaks up all its juices, creating a deliciously sticky texture. Combined with the perfectly ripe plantains and strips of stewed cabbage, and you have a meal that is literally to die for. Not spicy, not overpowered by a heavy tomato sauce or other seasonings. Just reeeeally quality, well-made food. At $8, the small order is crazy affordable (especially for oxtail) and yet plenty of food for one person. I imagine the large (which goes for $14) can be easily shared among two. I can't wait to make my way through the menu and try other dishes. I've got my eye on the jerk pork next!

The curry chicken is on point!

THE BEST RESTAURANT IN FAIRFAX CITY!! Seriously THE BEST food. This place is a hidden gem in Fairfax City. I personally love the curry chicken and my girlfriend loves the brown stew chicken. The portions are huge and come with rice and "peas" (beans) and steamed vegetables. The meat is so flavorful and falls right off the bone. You MUST try a patty, they have a warm flaky crust and are filled with tender spiced beef. They are a game changer! On Tuesdays they have stew beef, which is super tasty. And on Friday's they have jerk pork, which is awesome! Do yourself a favor and try this place, your stomach will thank you! The owner Anthony is an amazing chef and a great guy! He has been in this location for 17 delicious years. The parking lot is small, but there's a free city lot across the street and street parking nearby. Don't let that deter you at all.

I don't think they are open. I've tried calling multiple times and showed up to the restaurant but they are never open.

Food is good, they have the best jerk pork in the dmv. but parking is the issue. Best to park across from restaurant.

Everything I ordered had a great little kick and was enjoyable (I like spice, so take that to account). The Coco Bread was made to order, fluffy and delicious. Very happy this here. Gonna buy as much beef patties as I can!

This place is tucked away by the other restaurants near Macy's. My coworker heard great reviews…read moreabout this place and wanted to try during lunch. Upon arrival, the restaurant was completely empty. I guess it was too early (around 1pm). There was 1 staff member and he was super friendly! The menu is a little chaotic due to the fact that there were multiple menus and kind of shattered across the counter. We didn't realize there was a lunch menu since it was in the other end of the counter and the staff had to tell us rather than it being in one place. As we were ordering, we were told most of the side dishes were not available. That's really annoying because those are probably the most popular sides and not a single one was available other than some plantains... steamed cabbage.. etc. Very disappointing! When we were done ordering, the staff told us it'll take around 10-15 mins, which is perfectly normal as we ordered 2 rice dishes and 2 beef patties. We decided to take a walk in the mall to grab drinks and come back. Even after a long 20 mins of walking around the mall and getting drinks, our food was still not ready. We ended up sitting there and waiting another 15 mins. Apparently that 1 staff was the ONLY staff on-site and he's just doing it all by himself. As for the food: - Jerk chicken was tender but overly sauced. It seems like straight up BBQ sauce on top. - Callaloo Rice - Very underwhelming. Not much flavor. Typically made with coconut milk but there were any of that flavor at all. More on the bland side. - Beef Patty - I would come back for this! It's very nostalgic as I grew up in an area that sells this often! Even in the schools I attended. I do wish there was more filling. It was very thin layer of beef and mainly liquid (possibly the fat from the meat) Overall, highly recommend the patties and make sure to order ahead of time before arriving so you wouldn't have to wait 30+ mins for your food.

I ordered the curry crab legs with the side of mac and cheese, and the oxtail with the side of rice and lentils. Both dishes were amazing. The curry sauce for the crab was tasty and flavorful. The crab legs were steamed well and perfect when dipped in that luxurious sauce. The oxtail was fall off the bone tender and paired perfectly with that flavorful rice and lentils. We would definitely order from this food truck again. Service was kind and hospitable. Food came out at a reasonable time, especially with so many orders at the same time!

This food truck came to our building today. Since we never have had food from Trinidad and Tobago,…read morewe decided to give them a try. We knew that food from that region can be spicy and we knew that we would like to start with something tame. After looking at their menu board, I decided to go with fried chicken wings with a side of potato salad. My husband ordered pineapple chicken with a side of rice and peas. The people who work the truck are friendly and gladly answered any questions we had. It didn't take long to get our food. When we got the food upstairs, instead of getting fried chicken wings, I ended up with fried chicken tenders. Also, we were both surprised to see that each dinner comes with a small, undressed salad which consists of iceberg lettuce, red onions and a slice of tomato. They give out some sauces/dressings and I chose the one that wasn't spicy. As it was described to us, it was supposed to be "tingly". Okay...well...it was a thin sauce with a little bit of kick to it. I put it on my salad and it worked well with it. I found the chicken tenders to be on the dry side but certainly edible. My husband's pineapple chicken consisted of fried chicken tenders with a pineapple sauce that was simultaneously sweet and spicy. He enjoyed the sauce, and, thus the chicken. The potato salad had sweet undertones to it and had some peas and corn in it. I enjoyed this unconventional version. My husband liked the rice and peas, even though it was on the dry side. The peas were actually pigeon peas, which we both liked. My husband was pleasantly surprised by the food and said if this truck comes by again, he would gladly order from them. I, too, agree but now know to add the pineapple sauce to my chicken.
