A quiet coffee shop that is perfect for working out of or catching up with friends…read more Came here after lunch on a weekday to get some work done and there were quite a few others here with their laptops as well. There is a 2 hour seating limit and they have free wifi with paying customers. Got an iced tea and it was refreshing and the perfect pick me up after lunch. Parking is a little tricky since it's street parking right outside of the cafe, which is green P and has to be paid for. Overall, it was a cute environment and had a great selection of drinks and sweets to choose from. Check them out if you're in the area.

First they offer a wide variety of coffees on their menu ranging from espresso, to macho, too dirty matches and teas. Coffee flavor is strong and flavorful. Lattes are quite good. The services almost too good to be true. They make sure you like your drink. They explain the menu quite well. They even remember what I ordered last time and provide suggestions on what to order this time. It's a cute place, small but cute. Few seats, multiple workers. Very friendly all have a smile on their face.

We were in the…read morearea for an appointment, it was before 10 on a Sunday and there was a steady stream of people coming and going. Out of curiosity I popped in. Menu is drinks and baked goods. Croissant type items, fruit pastries, cookies etc. Drinks are strawberry matcha, hojicha latte etc. Space is small, there are a couple of bar style window seats but that's it. As a result, there could be a lineup spilling out the door and it was really hot in there when I popped in. I saw people come in just for a pastry or a drink. What was ordered: Black Sesame Lava Brookie Yuzu Brookie Brookies were good. Not too sweet. The black sesame brookie had a little piece of mochi in the middle. Very cute. Would definitely stop in again when in this area.

The lamination is confident, the coffee is well made and unfussy, and together they make the strongest case in the room. The space itself is warm and easy, and the little patio in summer is a genuine pleasure on King West, ideal for an unhurried catch up with a friend. Service is welcoming in a way that cannot be manufactured, and I appreciated it. It fills up at peak hours, so come early if you want the good seat. I am already planning my return.

The combination of soft, fluffy bread with the tangy, rich, not overly sweet pistachio cream cheese glaze and roasted crunchy pistachio nuts on top delivers a dessert that is extraordinary and an indulgence that I have to savour every bite. The Iced Halva Pistachio Latte is the perfect drink, creamy and refreshing. Pairs wonderfully well with the pistachio cinnamon roll since the sweet spice and buttery pastry cuts through the nutty richness of the sesame and pistachio flavours of the latte. The place is packed and busy and really not an ideal place to work/study or chill out. The only reason I will return back to this place is to try their other baked goods.

I was looking for a place to do some studying cafe, and I decided to stop by STAE Cafe!…read more STAE Cafe was quite busy when I walked in. There's about 7 or 8 tables available, and I sat down at one of the smaller tables since those were the only ones available. There's QR codes on each table so you can order what you want through your phone. They also deliver your food/drinks to your table. I ordered the blueberry matcha latte, which I was pleasantly surprised about! It had just the right amount of sweetness, and the blueberry flavour pairs so well with the matcha. I'd definitely order it again! There is a 75 minute seating policy. however, I'm not too sure if they strictly enforce that. I did work for about an hour and there were people who came before me that were still there. It is a very busy cafe, so if you can't study in a noisy area, I would recommend bringing noise-cancelling headphones or going to a different cafe. Overall, the cafe has a great aesthetic and a short but quality menu. I'll be back when I'm craving a decent matcha!

It's a lovely spot though, and a popular spot for local students and workers. They do have particular hours and are not open everyday so follow them on Instagram for updates! Food and drinks are a perfect marriage of western and eastern palettes. You'll find matcha, hojicha and various types of milk teas here, plus Asian-flavoured baked goods too. I love their standard fare and rotating items. There's always something new and exciting to try. If you're a fan of the texture of mochi -- be sure to try their Matcha Mochi Cake! But still ended up ordering a drink since I saw they had Hong Kong Lemon Tea. It was really refreshing! Also ordered a cookie, which had the tea and floral flavour to it. The rice krispie was definitely a bit salty, you could taste the seaweed, and sweet from the marshmallow. Both indoor seating and their back outdoor patio were packed! Will probably go again someday to try some of their popular items like their milk bun sandwiches and mochi cakes.
