Please ladies be careful with who gets dispatched to you. I'm not sure if the dispatchers are in on the scams but I was quoted for 80-145 over the phone and upon arriving, a younger man in a white suv showed up and seemed to understand the struggle of me being locked out of my apt for 2 hours. After looking at my door knob for a second, he quoted me for $400! Plus a $29 fee for coming out to me. I told him absolutely not and was trying to walk away. He cornered me requesting the fee. I gave it to him and was walking away when he started telling me how about 350? Okay I can go down to 250. I told him no please leave. He wouldn't walk away so I had to drive away in fear. He began to text and call me saying he could do 150. I blocked his number and drove off. I called the agency and made the report but I'm not sure if anything will be done. Requested locksmith services because I was locked out. Quoted me 90-150 over the phone. NAOR is the techs name and tried to SCAM me for $400. After I adamantly refused and threatened to refuse service he brought the price back down 150. The door was unlocked in minutes and this service shouldn't have even cost that. If this employee NAOR is any indication about how this business is run then it is a complete SCAM and an incompetently run business. This "family run" operation is clearly not operating in good faith. Unprofessional, sleazy, and unkempt as I could see half his buttock as he bent down. Setting false expectations of when either you're going to get called back, or have a technician come see you, he's incredibly misleading. They replaced a gate lock for a property I manage. They quoted a good price over the phone. When the tech arrived he said that it was going to be more and that they had mis-quoted over the phone. After trying to guilt me into paying more because he was going to lose money, he finally agreed to do the job for the originally quoted price. Anyway, low ratings because the lock only lasted a few months. Very low traffic area, maybe used one or twice a week. When you spend over one hundred dollars on a lock you expect it to last. On the advice of the experts at Kardo Locksmith, I purchased two storeroom locks in March 2017. Last week I found out that one of the two locks stopped working. I gave Kardo a call and explained the situation. He responded that the warranty was only good for 3 months. They charged me 45 to come out to see the problem. Another 40 to drill the lock they installed. Additionally he wanted to charge another 65 for a new lock and 35 to rekey the lock. No thanks Kardo.
