After four visits to Kubo, I felt it was only right to finally leave a Yelp review! I'm so grateful to have private room karaoke like this in Redlands! The environment is clean and so cool! I've tried both the pod and party room setups and each were perfect for the amount of people I went with. Whether you're with a group of adults or kids, this place provides a really memorable experience. They did offer military and teacher discounts the last time I visited which was new to me but offered a little savings which was appreciated. Would highly recommend Kubo. I am a last minute planner and they were super awesome to open on a day they are normally closed so we could host an employee party and from start to finish they were incredibly responsive, professional and easy to coordinate with! We had such an amazing time that we came back again just a couple weeks later to host a separate employee party. That alone says everything. The location is super clean, smells nice and feels comfortable the moment you walk in. They have chill snacks and a great selection of songs, so there's something for everyone. For a lot of us, it was our first time doing karaoke and we had an absolute blast. Super cool that it is local to Redlands too. I karaoke often and love it, but usually go to rowland or LA, but was happy to see a local one open up! The sound system is okay! it can be improved, but I think my biggest issue was the pricing mix up experience i had :( On the website when i booked it said it was $20 for 1 hr for the pod. My friend and I went, and when we finished we ended up paying $30. I noticed after and went back inside. I politely asked and explained that I think there was a mix up, but the worker said it was bc mon-thur was happy hours so the pods are $20 then, and we were there on a friday, so its $30. That wasn't what was said on the website and the price was displayed as $20 for 1hr for pods when i chose a date and reserved. I think this needs to be clearer on the website or honor what is communicated towards the guests bc it was very unclear. read more

Went here today with some friends and the aesthetic is super cute. The booth you get is pretty big and can fit a lot of people and you get 2 microphones and can play any songs you want. This would be my second visit here. The first time I went in a group of 8 and the rooms were big enough for us all, comfortable. The second time, I came with just one friend, so we booked a booth, that disappointingly was not comfortable for us and way too small and to add there wasn't any privacy for this room compared to the other room. The ac wasn't that great for this one either. The curtains don't close and we were front and center for anyone walking in and out :/. Affordable and cheap, but I will not be returning unless I come with a bigger party next time. read more

First off, Richelle and Frank are amazing business owners and so so incredible. My husband and I had the chance to try out Kubo around their opening weekend for 1 hour singing. It was fabulous! Affordable and great experience. The house-made music selection app (made by Frank!) is so easy to use. It has the ability to search by artist, song and Youtube! I love the aspect when someone else is using the iPad, that you can use the selection app via QR code - so you can start adding songs with your own phone. The iPad has the option to key up or down all the songs too! On my last visit with friends, we had the tater tots and egg rolls and a bunch of drinks. You can order food and drinks using the QR code on the menu. It's pretty neat that you can either keep the tab open or close it out right there in the app. Their menu offers a variety of drinks and snacks, including non-alcoholic, alcoholic, caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages. While washing up in their super clean and super cute restroom, I noticed a sign saying that they will be adding another restroom soon! In all honesty, I have a feeling this place is going to be THE hang out spot for all the locals. Been to this place before, we had a wonderful experience with Benerly, we came back recently and a different person helped us out, it was a girl with red streaks in her hair. At first she was alright and we gave her the benefit of the doubt but as we continued our night and ordered drinks, she seemed a bit irritated and annoyed, almost aggressively put our drinks at our table. Hope we were just reading into it too much or she had something else on her mind. But she also was not very accomodating when we had technical difficulties. We called around 9pm to see if we can make an appointment and were told they would have an opening at 10:45pm on a Saturday night. We went in by 10:45 and were told that the room we were supposed to get still had customers and that we would have to wait 20 minutes. I then asked if there were any other rooms that was available, even if it's more expensive and was told no by the employee. At this point I assumed all the rooms were taken. Another employee comes and they talk quietly amongst themselves for about 3 minute and suddenly one takes us to an empty room. Now I assume that this room was not meant for 2 people, but why would the worker say that she had no rooms available when I specifically asked if there were any other rooms besides the pod for 2 available? As someone (Korean American) who has been going to karaoke for over 20 years, this was the first karaoke that I went to without the typical karaoke system. They have their own "system" which seems like a platform where they just download karaoke YouTube videos with lyrics and have it loaded. Meaning, you have a very limited amount of songs that you can choose from, especially if you're not looking to sing American songs. The typical system I'm used to has many different options with wide varieties even in other languages, English,Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc. We were looking to sing Korean songs and had a list of maybe 50 songs that we did not want to sing. You can also find songs from YouTube and stream it to your rooms system, which is nice if it works. It unfortunately didn't work for us when we went. My wife and I both tried singing one song each and were so disappointed via choosing from a very limited library and the sound system, we asked the employee if we would owe anything and if so, how much it would be to see if we want to stay the full hour or just leave. The employee said we would owe nothing so we thanked him for his time and left. The mic system is very bad. EQ is not good, barely to no reverb. You can barely hear yourself, over the MR, making you sing harder than you have to. Staff seems nice, and the business seems clean. If you're looking for the typical karaoke, this place is not it. But then again, you won't find another karaoke from my knowledge unless you drive 30+ mins from Redlands. read more

The experience was a bit disappointing, I found them via social media where they displayed their "soundproof" rooms however that was not the case. Staff was not very friendly or welcoming, you can hear people from other rooms while in the main lobby. So you can imagine how loud it is when you're sitting in the room right next to each other. It did not feel like private at all. Followed by staff kicking the door open to bring in our snack rather than knocking or anything similar to it. Their music selection is very limited and their option for "YouTube" just didn't not work. Make sure you eat before coming here unless you want $3 cup noodle! This place has a lot of potential but it severely lacked it some of the most important features in my opinion. read more

I'm a big fan of karaoke, and my favorite way to experience it is with private rooms. Karaoke Kubo's rooms are stylish and roomy, the music selection is really extensive (they've got their own app as well as access to songs on YouTube), and the staff is super accommodating and friendly. I went once with family and another time with friends, and both times were so much fun and we stayed for over two hours. The only thing is I wish we could bring our own drinks or food, but I understand how that's a liability and I don't mind it enough to dock any stars. Their drinks and small bites are fine since I'm not trying to eat a meal while singing anyway. Oh, also I wish they were open more days during the week but that's not necessarily their fault. Redlands/IE has finally been blessed with a karaoke room!!! My partners and I had the pleasure of karaoke-ing our hearts away at the Kubo. We are avid karaoke-ers (LA, Koreatown, Rowland Heights, at home) and when I say the Kubo has the best vibes, I mean it! We came after a party and it was the perfect plan. The front room is so fun and fresh with retro decor. Our karaoke room itself is very clean with a trendy ambience that sets the stage for an unforgettable night. I love the little touches like the artist coasters, the colorful lights, and the tambourine. We were a party of 8 (max occupancy) and there was still so much space to sit and dance. Their program (how to search and add songs, etc) is homemade, novel, and very easy to use. Song selection is extensive, spanning different languages and genres. You can also request songs ahead of time! Frank was able to accommodate my party's niche song requests (i.e. songs I have never seen in another karaoke place) the day before my reservation. And of course, the hospitality here is unmatched. Richelle and Frank (the owners) are incredibly sweet and accommodating. They really make you feel at home! I love having more spaces in Redlands to hang out with my friends while also supporting Southeast Asian / Women owned businesses. If you are a first timer, I have a few tips: - you do not have to be a gifted or amazing singer to enjoy karaoke with your homies - sing songs you know well whether its a niche or pop song (go ham on the instrumental parts too!!) ((I won't say I'm in love from the Hercules soundtrack was our fav of the night)) - use the tambourine ofc - be weird and have fun :-) Thank you Frank and Richelle for not making me drive 45+ min for karaoke anymore. The 2 person pod is great!! Didn't run into any technical issues or anything, staff is super sweet, and price is reasonable! The place is cute and my favorite thing is that if you can find a song on YouTube then you can sing it! I've been to a couple other karaoke spots in LA that have a set catalogue so I was limited to what I wanted to sing, but not here!!! And the songs in the catalogue here are super diverse too :) I've been here twice and would definitely keep coming back! read more

So much fun!, I'm so glad they brought something like this to the Inland Empire because usually they are only OC or LA based. Definitely eat before you come as they only serve small snacks like chips and soda, but they do sell alcohol. Amazing staff, kind, and accommodating. When I visited this past weekend, the place itself was clean: from the lobby, to the karaoke rooms (we did two rooms), and to the restroom. Seems like the owner created their own app to search for songs. There were an ample amount of selections to choose from. I always liked the YouTube connectivity like how they do it in many other karaoke places. There were a couple times though where the song got cut off in the middle; not sure what happened there. May be back, especially since this is, as far as I know, the only one around Redlands. Pricing is per person per hour, which is good for smaller groups. read more

I'm going to write a very honest review. I'm not trying to hurt the business because I love karaoke rooms. I've been going to them in Hawaii and so glad they have it here now. I also don't want to drive super far so it's nice to have a local place. My review is in hopes that they improve. I know they are a new business so maybe that is why. The walls are very thin you can literally hear everything. Super loud if people are in the next room. So hopefully they insulate the rooms in the future. Also the mics aren't that great my voice got dry very quickly. It's also pretty expensive. But if you want to support a local business and just have fun I think it's a great place for parties esp if you don't care about the other stuff.. But if you really want a nice karaoke experience sparks and luxy are so nice and worth the price esp for a bday or date night. Hoping they will become a super nice spot too. read more

Amazing time! So happy that this opened in Redlands! We were a group of 7 and had an amazing time even though they cannot serve alcohol yet lol I definitely recommend this place for a night out. We ordered sodas, chips and tater tots! Sodas were cold and the tater tots were warm and crispy served with ketchup and decent amount for 7 people. So much fun! Went with some friends after work. We did 2 hours and wondered if we would be able to fill the time. It flew by and we were wishing we could stay longer! It was closing time so we paid up our tabs and make a pact to return again. Service was excellent, drinks were priced fairly (we had a couple cans Poppi), and it was beautifully decorated. I love the idea of private rooms. I usually shy away from karaoke but there was no stopping me once I started! Instructions were easy to follow and there were so many song choices. We had a fabulous time. I do wish there were more microphones per room but that's just because we all wanted to sing and not take turns lol. Fun fun fun! read more
