Just raclette and toastie. You choose.

One of the unique Borough Market experiences, this shop serves just Raclette and Toasties. Small menu done incredibly well. Had the Raclette and it was crusty, salty and super delicious. Friendly folks and an efficient process.

You haven't lived until you've had both the toasted cheese sandwich AND the raclette!!! We have rearranged our travel schedule to be in London just to go here!!!!

Best cheese toastie known to man. You get the watch them make it among the buzz of one of the busiest markets. Don't even bother sharing this with someone- everyone needs their own.

Located at the southeast corner of Borough Market, the toastie (grilled cheese) here is so good. Not only are multiple cheeses used, there is even a light coating of cheese on the outside of the bread. This is likely unintentional and carried over from cheese spilled over from the last sandwich on the sandwich press. Either way, it makes the toastie extra cheesy. The staff will slice and wrap into two half sandwiches if you are sharing...but why would you want to?

One of the best grilled cheese sandwiches. A must if you are in Borough market. I wanted to try the Raclette (melted cheese over potatoes) but I was too full from all the other options at this food market.

I don't relish in giving bad reviews, but the cheese toastie at Kappacasein was by far the biggest disappointment of my trip to London. As a bonafide grilled cheese lover I had been looking forward to it for months. It was SO SALTY. I could only manage to eat a few bites of one half before giving away the other half to a stranger and then throwing the other half I had partially eaten in the garbage. I HATE wasting food (and money) but this sandwich was inedible to me. I know so many people love it, and I LOVE cheese and grilled cheeses, but the sheer saltiness of this sandwich made it impossible for me to eat.

Located just on the edge of Borough Market Kappacasein sells two main items - the cheese toastie and the raclette. We only tried the cheese toastie but can report that the cheese being toasted and oozed onto the potatoes for the raclette looked excellent. As for the toastie, it was crisp with a sharp taste of the melted cheese with more flavor from the cheese that was crusted on the outside. If you like a flavorful cheese this is lovely, though I wouldn't go as far as to say it's the best toastie or grilled cheese I've ever had. I think the one we had was just a bit overdone personally. A final pro, they will cut up the sandwich if you're sharing which was helpful! $10.54 USD or £8 for a toastie

Came here because I am a sheep and social media told me to try it. There was a line, not surprised, but if you want a toastie queue up to the right and if you want the raclette queue up to the left. The wait was about 15 minutes and I shared the toastie they cut it in half for me. Very tasty and worth the wait. I would definitely recommend. However, does this seem special and unique? No, I feel like I've had something similar elsewhere, but it still is pretty good.

    My toastie.

At Borough Market, I was a man on a mission, committed to re-enacting Somebody Feed Phil, season 3.3, the part I would call "Happy Hungry Man devours Toastie." This place is really right on the edge of the Market, walk the perimeter, and eventually you'll find it. The line for toasties moved along quickly, service was fine. The other line moved even quicker for Therese H., who got herself gluten-free cheesy potatoes. For me, the Toastie is a true work of art, and made me happy for the rest of the day!

We saw this on an episode of Somebody Feed Phil and just had to try it! This place is located just across the street from Borough market stalls, near Brindisa (which you should also try, by the way). I thought I wouldn't be a fan of onions in my grilled cheese, but I was wrong! Don't let the line scare you; it moves quite quickly.

Located at the burrough market in london, this place was the first place I visitted when touring. It is a small place and right there when you walk in. Here I got a grilled cheese with their special mix of cheese and other things. I have to say it was really good. The bread was crispy and the cheese was melted yet not messy. The flavor was incredible with all aspects of the sandwich mixing together with amazing flavor. The place is located right away when you are entering the market. It is quick, delicious, and the service is friendly. This place is a must try and I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting burrough market. Its definitely filling and worth the money spent! I will definitely be coming back here on my next trip to London!

Go eat a grilled cheese that should be illegal. It's OOC. Your mouth will thank you. Not much else to say. Eat. it. Now!

Be prepared to wait, the toasties take time. The cheese tastes delicious of course & I appreciate the onions peppered throughout. However, the sandwich just falls flat. It's incredibly greasy and the cheese oozes down while trying to eat it, so if you're waiting for it to cool off, good luck keeping any cheese in! The guys working are nice though. Worth trying but I don't think we would do it again. Maybe the raclette next time.

They are a producer/selector of artisan cheeses from Switzerland and are changing the way people think about Swiss Cheese. All of the unique products at Jumi Cheese are produced by four family-run dairies in the Emmental region of Switzerland. The cows that supply the milk for Jumi's dairies feed on fresh grass and hay, and the farmers start and end the process by hand. Their 'stall' is located in the Three Crown Square section of Borough Market and features a range of cheeses like Belper Knolle, a specialty of theirs, spahn, goat cheese, truffle cheese and more. They first came on my radar when I saw a video on social media featuring their 'brain cheese.' The cheese resembles small mammalian brains at various stages of decay with it's fuzzy layer of blue mold surrounding the fist size balls. This one of the mouldiest cheeses you can buy in the UK and for some strange strange reason.... I just had to try it. And so, I've had this bookmarked for years for the moment I'd be back in London. At first glance, the Blue Brain cheese looked a bit intimidating. Are we sure about this? Will my stomach survive this? The questions tried to dissuade us to no avail. At about £9.90, the cheese was more affordable than I anticipated. We bought one for the road and magically, it mostly survived hours in our bag, lol. If you plan on sightseeing more after the market, I'd suggest bringing a smaller cooler or find a small bag of ice or frozen veggies in a nearby store to keep it cool. Once we got home, we dug in. The cheese was very pungent! And despite it's appearance, this had to be one of the smoothest, most flavorful blue cheese I've ever had. Wow, I was pretty amazed and happy that we went for it. The flavor is strong, but not overwhelming and I honestly really liked it. We paired it with some crackers and jam (apricot or peach, can't remember which exactly) and it was the perfect way to end our evening. For the food adventurous, I'd definitely recommend trying the blue brain cheese ;)

If you're a regular there and you don't remember seeing a sign saying Italainate, it's because there isn't one! People know it as the Parma Ham and Mozzarella Stall. Indeed , it is listed as such on the Borough Market website As its nickname suggest, they specialise in just 2 products but the mozzarella and Parma ham are the very bst quality, imported directly from Italy. The stallholder, Philip Crouch sources directly from the producer, Saint Ilario The mozzarella is an unpasteurised buffalo mozzarella from Campagnia - they come in 100g and 250g sizes as well as in mini balls. They also do a delicious burrata, which has cream added into the cheese-making process to make the cheese even more creamy The Parma ham has an amazing depth of flavour - I actually prefer it to the more revered Iberico ham. This is moister and trades some saltiness for flavour. You can either buy the ham in sealed packs which is better if you want to keep it. However, I prefer to to get the freshly sliced ham which is better if you will consume it within a few days - doesn't usually last that long in my house So, when you're in Borough Market, swing round to their stall in the Green Market and try a sample. You'll be hooked!
