    Spenwood Cheese with Romesco Sauce
    Terri B.

While in London and exploring Covent Gardens and Seven Dial's Market, we stumbled upon Pick a Cheese. Although we didn't have a reservation we were seated right away. The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining how it worked. For those of you who love the Sushi restaurants that offer items on a conveyer belt, this is exactly what this is like but for cheese lovers. We watched the covered items travel down the conveyer belt, and matched the numbers on the menu with the numbers on the items. First up was Cenarth Brie. A Welsh cheese that was velvety with a mushroom flavor. Next up was the Spenwood, a nutty firm cheese like Pecorino from Berkshire and it was paired with Romesco sauce, truly a gift for the palate. Our third choice was the Truffled Baron Bigod, a cheese from Suffolk. Another cheese similar to Brie with a layer of Black Truffle and a soft British Cream Cheese. Lastly, we grabbed the Whipped Roasary Goats Cheese Doughnut. The goat cheese was from Wiltshire. The creamy goats cheese was whipped with cream and filled a tender doughnut. The doughnut was paired with Apricot and Vanilla Jam, the perfect end to our cheese journey. Pick a Cheese was a fun spot to sit, enjoy different local cheeses from the U.K. The atmosphere was cool, the eatery was spotlessly clean, unique and an awesome way to enjoy a cheese journey.

Loved this cheese bar in London. The bar was full but luckily because it was just me, they were able to get me a seat after about 10 minutes. Service was okay, I feel like once I was sat it took sometime for someone to get my drink order. You pick your food as it comes around the bar. I picked # 6 Cenarth Brie paired with the tomato & chili jam, # 22 Perl Las which is a Bleu Cheese paired with chocolate & hazelnut brownie, # 10 Beauvale which is a Gorgonzola Dolce inspired Paired with honeycomb & # 20 Achari Spiced Salami.

What a novelty and good at that. Before heading out to dinner, my husband and I were amused with the conveyor belt cheese plates.. This is a unique offering as I am used to seeing conveyor belt sushi. We shared a few plates and a bottle of sparkling wine. The plates are numbered and color coded for price. The hostess will give you a menu that describes what is in each plate. Crackers are also served and refilled. There's a variety of soft and hard cheese and also some chorizo and salami.

While in the neighborhood I was getting hungry and went to The Seven Dials Markets. I totally forgot this place was there, I was SO happy. Cheese in a conveyor belt?! Heaven. I was expecting to be crowded even for a weekday but it wasn't and could seat immediately. There are a lot of cheeses with pairings to try and the price varies. The Dazel Ash was my favorite. The stinky the better for me. Loved that there are the names of the servers and kitchen workers in the menu. I'm considering moving to London just for this place.

I have been wanting to try the cheese bar ever since I saw the videos on IG. The set up is same as kaitenzushi, with small plates parading before you, except that they are plates of delicious cheeses instead of riceballs. Brie, mozzarella, gouda, blues, soft-ripen goat, cheddar and more, all made in the UK, though they don't seem to have strong stinky stuff. There's an info sheet about the makers, types of milk and the condiments. It's amazing how each cheese comes with a different pairing, a lot of thoughts obviously went into this, it's not just plain jam from a jar. If you need a more substantial meal, there are grilled cheese sandwiches, and for dessert, goat cheese doughnuts, cheese cakes and even blue cheese ice cream. This is pure heaven for cheeselovers. I seriously hope this idea catches on, so I can go enjoy a few plates with a glass of wine whenever the mood hits, with some friends or even solo. I feel sad that I live a whole ocean apart.

Attention all cheese lovers! Do not miss this place is you are in the Covent Garden area. Nestled in the Seven Dials market, this place does cheese and charcuterie on a conveyor belt. Each cheese is served with a condiment that compliments the cheese. Perfectly proportioned sizes allowing you to try a variety of cheeses without getting full. We ordered the grilled cheese off the menu too and it was outstanding.

Super fun and tasty experience. Be prepared for bar style seating, with a convenient conveyer belt bringing a continuous parade of small plates of British cheese and charcuterie. Wait staff are attentive to keeping your cracker tray and drinks from reaching empty. A great dining experience!!

I love cheese and I love gimmicks, so this was perfect for me! I'm a bit sketched out with sushi boat restaurants, because raw fish and unknown time out, but that worry melts away with resilient cheese. We mostly stuck with the conveyor belt dishes, though I'd highly recommend the melted wheel of cheese too, very hearty and worth the premium. It was honestly all a blur, since we had so many cheese dishes, but every cheese I tried was delicious and mostly worked with their pairings. Only issue is that the crackers kept running out and weren't refilled quickly.

So much fun! I've never been to anything like this and loved it. Went on Wednesday, on the bottomless cheese night. Great to try so many wonderful choices. The Dazel Ash was my favorite.

Saw an instagram post on it and was able to make a reservation for a late lunch. Reservations are a must. Seated right away and had multiple servers. All were phenomenal. Decent selection of cheese. The grilled cheese was the star of the show.

Very busy spot, I'd recommend getting a reservation! The cheese options are great and I liked everything they chose to pair with each cheese. It's in the middle of the bush seven dials market so it's not super quiet but not too noisy either. Reasonable pricing for the variety and quality! I'd come back.

CORNISH KERN Firm, toothsome texture with a brown butter & roasted hazelnut finish. Reminiscent of the Alpine classics.

The most girl dinner of all girl dinners! I stopped by on a Wednesday for their bottomless cheese and had the time of my life. The rotating array of cheese is a dream! There are so many different options to select from with options from sweet to savory! They also have some nice wine options! I opted for a port which went nicely with the cheese. My absolute favorite was the COOLEA- Classic Gouda-style with a great brittle texture. The crackers are free that you can eat the cheeses with and they will bring you more upon request. The time slot for unlimited cheese it a bit over an hour. Safe to say by the end of the time slot I was feeling a bit miserable from so much cheese but it was all so good I couldn't stop! Be sure to stop by this spot and make a reservation in advance as Wednesday book up quick! 3.95-5.45£ is the price per plate if you go on a day other than Wednesday.

I am pretty sure this is the coolest place I've ever eaten! A rotating conveyor of cheese, what more could you want! I went by myself as I was on a solo trip, I felt totally comfortable! They serve all British cheese and had some amazing options, and I love that all of the cheeses were accompanied with a garnish that paired perfectly with the cheese. It was also just a really fun experience and I will 100% be going back in my next trip! If you would like to check this place out it is in Seven Dials Market, and you definitely need to make a reservation to sit at the bar. When you make a reservation you pay a $10 deposit, but that gets used towards your final bill!

Jumi (pronounced YOU-ME) is located in Borough Market, a bustling, historic market in central…read moreLondon that focuses on quality food and sustainable production. They are a producer/selector of artisan cheeses from Switzerland and are changing the way people think about Swiss Cheese. All of the unique products at Jumi Cheese are produced by four family-run dairies in the Emmental region of Switzerland. The cows that supply the milk for Jumi's dairies feed on fresh grass and hay, and the farmers start and end the process by hand. Their 'stall' is located in the Three Crown Square section of Borough Market and features a range of cheeses like Belper Knolle, a specialty of theirs, spahn, goat cheese, truffle cheese and more. They first came on my radar when I saw a video on social media featuring their 'brain cheese.' The cheese resembles small mammalian brains at various stages of decay with it's fuzzy layer of blue mold surrounding the fist size balls. This one of the mouldiest cheeses you can buy in the UK and for some strange strange reason.... I just had to try it. And so, I've had this bookmarked for years for the moment I'd be back in London. At first glance, the Blue Brain cheese looked a bit intimidating. Are we sure about this? Will my stomach survive this? The questions tried to dissuade us to no avail. At about £9.90, the cheese was more affordable than I anticipated. We bought one for the road and magically, it mostly survived hours in our bag, lol. If you plan on sightseeing more after the market, I'd suggest bringing a smaller cooler or find a small bag of ice or frozen veggies in a nearby store to keep it cool. Once we got home, we dug in. The cheese was very pungent! And despite it's appearance, this had to be one of the smoothest, most flavorful blue cheese I've ever had. Wow, I was pretty amazed and happy that we went for it. The flavor is strong, but not overwhelming and I honestly really liked it. We paired it with some crackers and jam (apricot or peach, can't remember which exactly) and it was the perfect way to end our evening. For the food adventurous, I'd definitely recommend trying the blue brain cheese ;)

If you're a regular there and you don't remember seeing a sign saying Italainate, it's because there isn't one! People know it as the Parma Ham and Mozzarella Stall. Indeed , it is listed as such on the Borough Market website As its nickname suggest, they specialise in just 2 products but the mozzarella and Parma ham are the very bst quality, imported directly from Italy. The stallholder, Philip Crouch sources directly from the producer, Saint Ilario The mozzarella is an unpasteurised buffalo mozzarella from Campagnia - they come in 100g and 250g sizes as well as in mini balls. They also do a delicious burrata, which has cream added into the cheese-making process to make the cheese even more creamy The Parma ham has an amazing depth of flavour - I actually prefer it to the more revered Iberico ham. This is moister and trades some saltiness for flavour. You can either buy the ham in sealed packs which is better if you want to keep it. However, I prefer to to get the freshly sliced ham which is better if you will consume it within a few days - doesn't usually last that long in my house So, when you're in Borough Market, swing round to their stall in the Green Market and try a sample. You'll be hooked!
