If you are coming in for the grilled cheese, I think that's the way to go. We did a mix of entrees for lunch yesterday, including mozzarella sticks, a burger, and a charcuterie board, and all of those items were fine, not destination quality. But everyone, including the person who actually ordered the grilled cheese, wished they had gotten that instead of their order. The toast job on that bread was perfect, just the right amount of cheese--i.e., too much--and the honey for dipping were all great. That would be the call for our next visit--a table-full of grilled cheese sammies! A note about the space--the space has a few tables outside, plus seating at the bar and a large, high-boy-style farm table for guests. I don't mind seating like that (more communal in nature), but I know a lot of people who would mind. Also, it's all stools inside, so for those of us looking to lean back in a chair, just know that is not an option here. I have traveled a lot and eaten at a ton of restaurants and this is my all time favorite place I have had a meal! You definitely need a reservation to sit a the cheese bar and I highly recommend! The plates rotate around (like a moving sushi bar), you pull of the plates you want to try and are charged at the end by the number of plates and the color of the plate determines the price! The plates are numbered and you are given a menu that describes each plate! Everything was absolutely delicious and all of the cheeses are from the UK! Came here for the bottomless raclette and my oh my, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. What a treat! The restaurant is super intimate. I definitely recommend making reservations if you want to make sure to get a spot. The staff was super friendly, we were cracking jokes and having a good time. You can dress up smart casual and not feel overdressed or you can just go in your jeans and trainers and not feel awkward. The bottomless raclette was served with bottomless potatoes, ham and tiny pickles, as well as one serving of a green leafy salad... but let's be honest- I was just there for the cheese. My sister and I came here because we saw that the Insider Food page came here. It was a pretty cool store, showing the different cheeses they serve. The only downside was that the servers were slow although we were the only customers in the restaurant. My sister and I shared a Cheese Plate and I got the Grilled Cheese. Finally came to this Instagram famous shop and was honestly blown away by how good cheese can be. Came at around 11 am on New Years Eve so there wasn't a ton of people. Loved the inside display showcasing all the different cheese and where they were manufactured covering an entire wall. For two we ordered: 1. Cheese Plate of the Day - This comes with three different cheese, usually a soft, a hard, and a medium texture one. It also comes with a bunch of other sides such as nuts, honey, pickled grapes, and crackers so you can mix and match. Who knew cheese rolled in nuts and honey would be delicious. Wednesday night Raclette night was terrible, food has no variety, no ordering from the regular menu, bland and cold food, salad dressing was all oil and salt and no acid. Making patrons stand in a queue for food was unprofessional. Seating for our group of five was in a terrible location where another party needed to climb around four of us. I chose this place for my birthday, because it's close to where we live and it's all cheese and I really like cheese and I feel less guilty ordering almost all the menu (of which all of it is cheese) on my BIRTHDAY. The grilled agloumi (basically like halloumi) was in a more spicy seasoning which I liked and the texture was fab. And the truffle brie. I mean come on, it's truffle brie. It was delicious and those posh charcoal crackers were fun. The burrata was next, and it was ok. I wasn't really digging the basil (or something?) relish on top. Just not for me, bro. But you know what, the cheese itself was creamy and divine. I just didn't love the basil part. Rosemary lemonade for another drink, which was also delish. And the stilton and pear chutney sandwich. Camden Market at noon on a Saturday is a zoo. We looked all over the cramped stalls until we found this spot in the north stalls - I think it's only been open a few months. It's nice because it has both indoor and outdoor seating and we selected a seat at the bar. We ordered sausage fondue for a starter and then two different grilled cheese sandwiches. My son had one with bacon, blue cheese and pear chutney that was excellent but you really need to love blue cheese because it was strong. I had the server recommended chorizo and cheese and it was perfect. Great comfort food. Service was friendly and fast. It was my birthday yesterday so obviously we headed to Camden for a spot of light browsing. On our travels, we came across The Cheese Bar - somewhere I'd seen a few influencers talk about on social media. Well, it would be rude not to grab some lunch, right? We had a look at the delicious offerings from the menu outside and ventured into the bar. It was initially unclear whether we should sit straight down or wait to be seated, but a server was with us within seconds. He went through the specials with us however I opted for the Stilton, Bacon and Pear Chutney grilled sandwich. My partner stuck with sweet H2O - hangovers, eh? We sat outside on the benches watching the bustle of Camden Town, and our drinks came out pretty swiftly. About five minutes later, my order arrived and although it was a bit more toasted than I'd like, it was absolutely delicious and genuinely the perfect hangover cure - it also came with a honey dip that complemented the flavours very well. In a large city like London, specialization works. This place is a small oasis in the middle of the craziness of Camden Market, but it is an Oasis of ....cheese!! Built our whole day in Camden around going to the Cheese bar! Online it says opens at 11. We tried to go around 1145 and they said they had to postpone opening and will be open in an hour. Came back around 1 and then he asked if we had a table reserved. Everytime I am in London this place is a must go to. I always order the mozzarella sticks with a side of fries/chips. The marinara sauce is out of this world.
