Balance: quality and quantity versus price is perfect! Even on the more inexpensive side. Cleanliness: restaurant was clean bathroom was clean tables were clean. Deliciousness: I am particularly fond of their sweet and sour pork and sesame chicken, the chow mein covers all of the best tastes that you want in a chow mein including savory salty umami. I also appreciate that they put the veggies on top so you can easily remove them if you do not want them. Environment: it's a cozy kind of hole in the wall place, plenty of space and tables, the only sign that I could see simply said Chinese food, but it's casual and I love it.

And a Caesar salad, (Slightly disappointing except croutons were house made and still warm, great texture!) We topped the meal with the best tiramisu I've ever eaten. We ordered the regular pho & egg rolls to share amongst the 5 of us girls. The packaging of the food was excellent! The broth was piping hot but we threw everything in the stockpot to portion out the pho, noodles, and toppings evenly. Egg rolls were nice and crispy. They had the sweet chili sauce to pair with it. Surprisingly, there were shrimp in the pho! Good amount of meat. Lots of herbs on the side + hoisin and sriracha. The broth was actually pretty good I was thoroughly surprised considering area and demographic.. no comment on the service or ambiance since I did not personally visit the restaurant.

Stopped by CoCo for lunch as we were passing through Redding and we loved it!…read more My friend and I came for lunch around Saturday at 11:30 and it wasn't too busy. They offer Mongolian grill here with a decent selection of meats and huge selection of veggies as well as various sushi options. For the Mongolian, it's $16.99 for lunch for ONE serving only vs $19.99 for AYCE at dinnertime. Obviously if you can, it's much better value to come for dinner as you get all you can eat for only 3 bucks more. Both of us got one serving for the Mongolian grill, which also comes with soup, a bowl of rice, and appetizer (crispy wonton chips in our case). They also give you gloves to wear for the Mongolian bar so everything is very hygienic. The selection of meats, veggies, and sauces for the Mongolian was excellent. For meats they had the basics: beef, pork, chicken, and bacon bits. But the veggies! I was shocked by how many veggie options they had as well as the extensive sauce selection. After cramming as much meat and veggies into my bowl as I could fit, I went with probably 7-8 scoops of various sauces, and I thought that was enough flavor. My friend found his stirfry bland because he didn't include enough sauce, so make sure you're putting enough. I also got the Caterpillar roll ($13.99), which was super soft and creamy and really hit the spot. I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it on top of my noodles, but somehow I managed to find enough space to finish it. Honestly the bowl by itself would've been enough food, but no regrets about getting the extra sushi roll! I haven't had this type of Mongolian grill meal in probably 10+ years, so this meal really hit the spot for both of us. Would highly recommend to anyone living in or passing by Redding!

Hard to find the front door but once we did we were very pleased with the ambiance. Raw is a lovely space and the bar is large and looks very inviting and like a place tou could feel very comfortable having a cocktail or two. The seating is comfortable and has a relaxed vibe. The sushi was just not great. We ordered several of the special rolls that ranged in price from $22 to $29. They all tasted pretty much the same and every one of them had the same sauce. But the safest part is the tempura shrimp in the rolls tasted like it had been sitting for awhile. And instead of getting that crispy light tempura crust, it was gummy and heavy. The rice was gummy and I am not sure if it was overcooked or perhaps had too much sugar added which madeit overly sweet and congealed. We also ordered a dou le.order of the Hamachi sashimi which was fair but lacked that super rich butter flavor I crave. We were so hoping to find our go to sushi spot while visiting Raw. And I do think they have a place in the restaurant bar world. But their "place" is not for as a high end sushi restaurant. The quality is just not there. And I so wanted it to be. ‍
