    Seabura Ramen
    Justin H.

TL;DR Seabura Ramen = ONO (!!!) Damn good ramen. ----- My out-of-town friend and his family were visiting O'ahu and invited me to lunch. They decided on Kamitoku Ramen after catching a movie nearby. Unfortunately, I had ramen for lunch the day before, but I sucked it up and joined them so I could catch up with my friend. And I'm so glad I did, because Kamitoku Ramen is fantastic! I ordered the Seabura ramen, which has officially taken the throne as my favorite bowl of ramen on the island. It was so damn good! The beef-based broth is incredibly creamy and absolutely packed with umami. The noodles were the perfect balance of chewy and springy, and the toppings were awesome. I was especially a fan of the beef char siu and the beef fat bites. The whole dish was just a banger. The broth was unbelievably good. I finished the entire bowl, because I couldn't let that liquid gold to to waste. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes on the menu, including their gyoza and rice bowls. But I don't anticipate deviating from the Seabura ramen. It was too good not to order again. Go check it out!

Nice space with friendly and fast staff. The ramen however was unfortunately not great. Mine was kind of salty and creamy, but also kind of taste like old water? My egg was overcooked and cold in my luke warm soup. My friends ramen was better, so maybe I just ordered wrong.

I'd say, welcome to my current favorite ramen place in Oahu. Not only the price is right but the authentic Japanese flavor of their ramen really takes me back to my Japan trip last year. I always had a great time dining here with some friends and family. Service was fast and their menu is not that extensive keeping me sane every time I order, lol. Keep in mind that this location only has few chairs to dine and it fills up pretty fast. Make sure to come earlier for your convenience. Here's what I've tried from them: - my favorite; no further explanation just ORDER THIS NOW - broth is shoyu light, way too light for me but still savory - savory and tasty - harmonious blend of crispiness and tangy sweet vinegar - perfectly made; perfect topping/side when eating ramen - ponzu on it makes everything this side dish really good - intensely flavored; so rich that it needs rice to absorb the oil on it - fried to perfection; meat not dry at all - savory and addicting; flavor blends perfectly - so good and perfect ending for your meal - intriguing yet I'm impressed; would order this again Overall the experience was exquisitely good. Love the food, love the interior and the vibe feels like I'm in Osaka ramen place. Will surely be back for the nth times. Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow Yeeps.

This restaurant is smaller than most however they are able to keep up with excellent service. The food here is always great and uses a more creamier broth.

that Ramen was phenomenal. here at this restaurant, my boyfriend tried to convince me that we should live with his ex. I successfully told him no, so I have really good memories with this restaurant. I remember the sweet taste of victory as I slopped up those noodles.

The ramen here is unique because it's made with beef bones instead of pork. I love the beefy richness of the broth, and the meat is super tender and flavorful. My favorite is the Beefy Wild because it's perfectly balanced. I also tried the Seabura, which was still very good and definitely more rich and salty, but I wasn't a fan of the fatty chunks in the broth and the piece of meat was a bit too fatty for my taste. The noodles are Sun Noodles, not homemade, but still solid. They're thin and have a slight sweetness to them. Service is just okay, but the restaurant itself is nice and cozy, which makes it a chill spot to eat.

Fantastic little place at Ward Center (original side). Limited seating but they take reservations. We arrived closer to 1pm, so our wait was only 15 minutes or so. Totally worth it. Amazing ramen. I had the spicy and it delivered as promised. Beef was so tender and broth was very rich. Fried gyozo was great. Prices are very reasonable. Service is quick and efficient. Park at Ward or the theater.

This is a cute little ramen spot that has fun deco~! It's a small restaurant but it's enough since ramen is a pretty fast meal. We got the beefy wild small - the ramen is good. The most dominant flavor was the crispy garlic bits. Our kid liked it too! It tasted like a beefy miso~ My husband got the seabura and it was also tasty. If I'm being completely honest, I didn't think there was much of a taste difference that'd I'd have preferred one over the other. Overall, cute place. They had high chairs but no locking mechanism for the seatbelts to keep the kid in place. We went at 5pm on Monday and got instantly seated. Service was lovely.

Located at Ward Center, parking in the parking structure , entrance is on Auahi St., no bathroom in the restaurant but there is one in Ward Center. We were greeted right away and seated at a table separated by wooden/acrylic partitions. It has about 8/4 top tables a small counter seating for 3 people facing the street so you can people watch and a center counter which can accommodate 12 people. Their ramen is beef base broth. We ordered the Beef Gyoza Namban, 5 pieces, which is topped with green onions, sweet vinegar shoyu & tartar sauce. It was good, there was a little too much tartar sauce to my liking but I just scraped it off. Also ordered the Seabura Ramen, it had a creamy beef broth, egg, garlic , green onions and a beef char siu, it was tasty and comforting. My hubby had the lunch special which was a small bowl of the ramen and he ordered the beef fried rice, which was very good and came with a side of kimchi. Great place for a quick, comforting bite to eat!

Fast and friendly!! Stopped in for lunch and luckily they weren't too busy yet. Signed in at the front entrance and were seated right away. Menus and ice water came out promptly. My friend had a coughing fit and asked the male server for hot water, but we were told they don't have any... hmmm, REALLY? Odd, but we moved on. We both ordered the lunch combos. I went with the Beef Wild combo with fried gyoza, while my friend chose the Tan Tan ramen with sui gyoza. If you love a deep, rich beef flavor, the Beefy Wild is exactly what you want--super creamy, full-bodied broth, and perfectly al-dente ramen noodles that hold up beautifully in the soup. My friend really enjoyed the Tan Tan ramen, which came with a spicy, creamy broth that had just the right kick. If you're looking for fast service and bold, flavorful ramen, Kamitoku delivers. By the time we were heading out, there was already a line forming outside--so go early! Definitely left wanting to come back and try more.

Wild Beast Ramen was the best ramen I have ever had EVER, even in Japan this would be a ten out of ten+ , the homemade kimchi was better than any kimchi I've ever had. I recommend this place over any Ramen restaurant on Island. I can't say enough about how much this ramen tasted better than a grilled steak and eating the kimchi every other bite refreshed the pallet , so every bite was out of this world. Love this place and so lucky it's our neighborhood ramen restaurant ‼

First time to this hidden gem. Located at Ward. Located across the street from TJ maxx. They have 12 pages of menu. So many options. The noodles al dente. Love the taste and texture of the noodles. Many broths to choose from and additional sides if you want. I need to come back!! We made reservations on Yelp. Casual restaurant -

Kamitoku serves up some seriously tasty ramen! They specialize in beef broth ramen, and you can really taste the depth and richness in every sip. I usually get the Seabura, which is super creamy, rich, and full of flavor. It's easily one of my favorites on the menu. The spicy beef gyoza is also a must try. We usually stop by before or after catching a movie, and it always hits the spot. Consistently satisfying food and friendly service make Kamitoku one of our go to ramen spots.

Unfortunately, Lokahi Brewing's food missed the mark for me. Their brews were not bad, but there are other breweries in town that I prefer over Lokahi. I tried 4 different ones, and my favorite was the FLOOR IS GUAVA. Here's all the food we got: LOKAHI NACHOS w/ BIRRIA MEAT ($23) [3/5] - Portion was decent for $23, but the chips ran stale and there was uneven distribution of cheese and toppings throughout the nachos. Literally, one side had all the cheese and toppings. The birria meat didn't really taste of the classic Mexican spices that makes birria so good, it felt more like pulled pork. It was also dry. FRIED PICKLES ($10?) [2/5] - This was SO SALTY. I didn't really taste the tang of the pickles, felt like it was squeezed out of all its juice. It was ultimately just chips with a ton of salt. I downed two cups of water trying to finish these. Ultimately, I would come back to Lokahi Brewing for their shows and a brew or two, but I'll eat at home or elsewhere first before coming.
