So between a few great reviews about them from friends and colleagues of mine and with my own research on them; so found it to be a perfect match. I walked into the office Tuesday and I immediately can tell it's a place with a prestigious uphold. Very up to date interior design and clean cut atmosphere. Most importantly the amazing staff they have working. They are very professional and proficient and knowledgeable in what they do. Monica was the one who took care of my needs walking in for my first appointment. She is extremely kind and informative and prompt. You can for sure tell she knows what she is talking about! I seen her answer calls while helping both myself and another patient on the phone in a timely matter (which to me being in the health field multitasking is an absolute must). The dentist was amazing as well (not the kind that rushes you because they overbook ! but quite the opposite) he sat there and explained to me everything and made me feel less nervous. I mean who doesn't get nervous at the dentist! Lol . Overall my experience was probably the best I've ever had in a dental practice and I'm really happy I Listened to my friends and colleagues on this one! Before leaving I stopped at the front desk again to make my follow up appointment and surely Monica helped me with this as well and wished me a great upcoming weekend. Again couldn't have asked for a better welcoming and knowledgeable staff.Thank you to everyone at Island Dental Associates. You officially helped me kick my fear of "dental visits" lol

I did the cleaning, some x-rays, a filling and a quadrat of periodontal scaling (which was only 2 teeth), and in addition to what UH Dental paid, i ended up paying $350 out of my pocket. I went to Dr. Kasparian's office for the first time for X-rays and a cleaning. My initial visit was…read moreextremely pleasant. A few issues were identified that needed attention, but they were presented as nothing drastic. I was advised to make another appointment to take care of some of the work that did not require prior insurance approval. When I returned, however, the recommendation seemed completely different from what I had been told during my first visit. Once I was in the chair, I was given the impression that my teeth were in very poor condition and that significant work needed to be done right away. I felt there was a lot of pressure to proceed, and different costs and figures were being discussed quickly in a way that I found difficult to follow. Because the assessment seemed so different from my initial visit, I was uncomfortable moving forward with any treatment and decided to leave and seek a second opinion. My wife had a similar experience. She was given what sounded like a very serious prognosis, but after obtaining a second opinion, she was told that her situation was not as severe as it had initially been presented to her. I am now getting a second opinion for myself before having any work done. Based solely on our personal experiences, I would recommend being cautious and considering a second opinion before agreeing to extensive dental work. My biggest concern is the inconsistency between the recommendations we initially received and what was presented at the follow-up visits.
