Several years ago I went for an ortho consult to Dr. Adam Goodman. ANother dentist you should stay away from. I needed a filling and he told me to go to Dr. Sirota. I called prior and said I was in p ain and needed an immediate filling. I was told to come in the next day, and they would immediately take care of the cavity. Dr. Goodman called him in the meantime supposedly to make sure everything went well. When I got there, I was told to prepay prior to seeing the dentist. The price was approx. $250. When I went in , he asked me if I had $50,000. I was in shock. He kept asking me if I had $50,000 and if I would give him $50,000 and he would cap all my teeth. He told me not to do ortho but cap all of my teeth. I had a fight with him and put him in his place. I asked him to xray the tooth that was bothering me and see what was wrong. He just laughed and refused to do anything. I walked out in disgust and furious that I spent that money for a 10 minute consultation on being harassed for $50,000 to cap all my teeth, which he said were in remarkably good condition. I, then, call Dr. Goodman to complain, and he said I should listen to him. I replied why don't you cap all your teeth. I never bothered with either one. A few weeks ago, I received a call from Dr. sirota. I had forgotten his name. They asked me to come in for my 6 month checkup. I found out that Sirota is desperate for patients. Good for him. He's a real ripoff. And I'm glad both Goodman who's giving free consults now, and Sirota are both in trouble because they are phonies just trying to make money off of people. Long Island Endodontics charges $275 for a consultation without x-rays. If you choose to have the procedure performed at that office, the consultation fee is applied towards your bill. I did not receive a receipt for the $275. It was a mistake on my part not to ask for one. The invoice for this visit was sent to my place of employment, which I find to be very unprofessional. I was billed $627.00 for x-rays. Patients should be informed that their x-rays are on the high end. My dental insurance only covered $87.00 and I can understand why. The individual responsible for billing is unprofessional in communication, both verbally and through email. My visit to this office is costing $550 with no dental work being performed. The kicker! They have pursued legal action against me for the $275. I did inform my dentist about my unfortunate experience with this office. I was provided me a new referral and had a much better experience. The total cost for my root canal (two visits), crown and x-rays, was less than $250.00.

The dentist was nice and explained everything to me in detail about payment, however he isnt the greatest when it comes to his professtional status to dential work being done. He was suppsoe to do one of my teeth the mold tooth all the way in the back. I have had problems eith the tooth and we were trying to save the tooth instead of taking it out. In the beginnging he did say he can save the tooth. However, when he started the procedure he felt that he wasnt able to save the topth, simply because i was telling him what to do. How to numb me, because he only numbed the central nerve, which wasnt numbing the tooth it was only numbing the surrounding area of the tooth. As, soon as he put the drill next to my tooth, i still felt the pain and refused the process, until he numbed not only the central nerve of the behind the tooth but also around it and on it. So instead he said i cant do it, because i telling him how to numb the area. So after going to another dentist - and telling him a story, they said it is typical of him to that, because he is the kind that doesnt like when people tell him what to do, espically patients. If he knew that he might be able to do it, he should of never said that he can do it. After that he is blaming me and terminated me as a patient.
