I feel that he targeted my dental issues with extra care to make sure that my health was prioritized. Some of my cases were difficult and made me nervous, but Dr. Rotsos was able to perform pain-free, comfortable, and trusted procedures for me. The attitude of the receptionist is rude and the doctor's chosen method to deal with this matter was extremely unprofessional, and borderline rude. The initial decision to bill me for a treatment I did not receive is also extremely questionable and judging from the receptionist's response, this decision was not made by mistake but was done on purpose.

He sold his Manhattan practice to another dentist whom I and others ended up having to sue for malpractice, but that was water under the bridge, and I continued to see Dr. Ghiz when he moved back to Manhattan. Just a few years ago, I lost my job, and was unable to pay an expensive $300 bill for one dental cleaning. I recently had a real dental emergency, but Dr. Ghiz's office refused to schedule me because of my outstanding bill. I called dozens of times, but could not get an appointment. Dr. Ghiz didn't even have the courtesy of coming to the phone and speaking to me, although I had been a patient of his for 33 years! Over one lousy bill for a cleaning! This shows the level of respect that Dr. Ghiz has for his patients. There is no loyalty, only loyalty to money. Dr. Ghiz has been coldhearted and his lack of empathy is absolutely despicable. So I am terrified of the dentist. Its been 12+ years since I had been. I have a major tooth problem…read morethat had me looking for a dentist. On a friends recommendation I went to one who surprisingly took my horrible insurance. The first visit I told him I was scared of the dentist and in a lot of pain. He didn't listen to anything really and sent me for x rays and then said come back in a week after he can go over them.. I left crying in pain but reasoned he needed to really go over them. I came back a week later and he said I need all this work and its been approved by my insurance. But that for today he needs one more x ray and then I can go. I started to cry. Its so hard for me to make an appointment and to have this happen 2 times is crazy especially in a lot of pain. He said oh yeah you need a root canal or extraction that's why you are in pain. I then asked for my x rays and said I would be seeing a different dentist as I need one who listens to me and takes time with me. He said had I been crying last time he would have given me drugs. One does not always cry in pain. I cried out of frustration. I demanded my x rays again. He took me into an exam room WITH A PATIENT in the chair! To show me a front mouth plate he would have given me that I would not get covered by insurance with anyone else. I said I don't care about money I care about being listened to and treated right. He then tells me "okay fine I don't like your kind anyway I really don't like treating orthodox jews!" I stood there in shock. While signing for my x rays I was told again I should have done more to express my pain and they would have given me drugs. I said I have not been to the dentist in 12 years and came in because of pain and said I was scared of the dentist... that says I'm in pain she looked at me blankly and said "well we see people every 6 months here". But Dr. Seok and his dental assistants make it damn-near enjoyable, believe it or not. I've been seeing him for several months now, getting a series of fillings, root canals, and crowns. He clearly explains procedures before, during, and after. Sets realistic expectations, and works with you if you aren't initially happy with the result. Scheduling is soooo easy and convenient. Once you're an established client, they will text you with updates and you can even schedule/reschedule appts via text. The dental assistants are kind and helpful and always greet me by name. So in summary: A+ quality work A+ quality service The only dentist I'll ever see!

Then after he did a root canal the insurance said he didn't fill the tooth properly and denied the crown. Warning number three. Because insurance wouldn't cover the crown I decided to pay for it out of pocket and that's when the nightmare began. Dr. Lee literally traumatized me with how much pain I went through and after all my suffering he wasn't even able to successfully complete the crown. I gave him two chances and the crown fell off each time. After that I asked for a refund and he tried to get me to come in to have him attempt the crown for the THIRD time. When I declined and insisted on a refund, he asked me to sign a liability release form that would prevent me from sharing the negative experience. After I refused to sign unless I could settle for damages before things got nasty and his office's reputation was impacted, he claimed I was "harassing" the office and terminated me as a patient. Honestly, Dr. Lee is clearly was incompetent so I wasn't going to subject myself to anymore pain and never intended on going back. I had already terminated him as my dentist. I just find the categorization of me holding him accountable as "harassment," ridiculous and laughable. Please learn from my experience. Dr. Lee doesn't care about his patients; when things go wrong instead of taking responsibility he will blame you, the patient.
