Do not trust the unbelievable uptick (10+ in a month is unrealistic) in positive generic reviews that are clearly incentivized, and appear on Google over the past year, that are being run by a hired Social & Digital Community Manager. Yelp has the honest, negative reviews, in which most had a similar bad experience as me.

I first saw Dr. Roth two years ago based on positive reviews -- a decision I've regretted ever since. On my very first visit, he told me I needed four crowns -- not one or two, but four -- at $4,200 each. This was alarming given that my previous dentist, who I'd been seeing regularly for cleanings and exams, had never mentioned a single crown was needed. Against my better judgment, I agreed to one crown. Once in the chair, I was convinced to do two (because the teeth were next to each other) and was reminded of a "cash discount" -- $4,000 each -- if I paid in cash rather than credit card. This felt questionable, but I trusted them as professionals. I paid $8,000 in cash.
During that visit, I was also told I needed to see his partner for additional work -- another $2,000. One of the crowns he placed caused ongoing pain whenever I chewed for over a year and a half. I returned to his office repeatedly for bite adjustments, which eventually caused issues on the other side of my mouth. Finally, he referred me to an Endodontist (another $600) who confirmed the problem wasn't the root -- it was likely the crown. Dr. Roth refused to acknowledge that possibility.
Eventually, I saw another dentist who not only confirmed the crown was the likely culprit, but also stated the two other crowns Dr. Roth recommended were completely unnecessary. That dentist charged $3,800 for a NEW crown (on a credit card, no "cash discount" gimmick) and came highly recommended by trusted friends. However, I decided to wait -- but six months later, the ever-present problematic crown Dr. Roth placed fell out. My new dentist confirmed the reason it fell out, and likely the cause of the 1.5 years of pain when I chewed was that it had been improperly placed from the start.
For context: Dr. Roth also quoted me $10,000 for 6 months of Invisalign. I later went to Dr. Goodman (a #1 Invisalign provider) for the exact treatment-- and paid $5,200. Once Dr. Roth learned I went elsewhere, his demeanor noticeably shifted.
Bottom line: in my experience, Dr. Roth over-treats, overcharges, improperly places crowns, and pushes unnecessary work. His refusal to take accountability for faulty dental work left me in pain for over a year, thousands of dollars lighter, and still needing to fix his mistakes. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM.
