Dr. Foreman is consistently rated as one of the Top Dentist in NJ magazines. He is very gentle and has great bedside manners. He is very pleasant and friendly. I was 11 years old when I first went to him in 1990, now my 4-year-old son is going to him for checkups. Soon, my 2-year-old will be visiting. My father, step-mother, and both of my sisters have been coming just as long. Now my niece and nephew come as well. My sister makes the trip from Old Bridge to Kenilworth because it is worth it. His office staff is very, very nice and accommodating. The environment is inviting and does not have a "sterile, doctors office" feel. Each room has a TV and DVD player if your in for a long operation or for children. Its very comforting when you find a doctor, albeit a dentist, that you feel at ease with and provides such great care. We have also visited with Dr. Steele on many occasions over the years if Dr. Foreman was on vacation. He is also a terrific Dr., however, with such limited exposure to him, I really can't comment. STEVEN ROTH AT ALL COSTS!!…read more Do not trust the unbelievable uptick (10+ in a month is unrealistic) in positive generic reviews that are clearly incentivized, and appear on Google over the past year, that are being run by a hired Social & Digital Community Manager. Yelp has the honest, negative reviews, in which most had a similar bad experience as me. are I first saw Dr. Roth two years ago based on positive reviews -- a decision I've regretted ever since. On my very first visit, he told me I needed four crowns -- not one or two, but four -- at $4,200 each. This was alarming given that my previous dentist, who I'd been seeing regularly for cleanings and exams, had never mentioned a single crown was needed. Against my better judgment, I agreed to one crown. Once in the chair, I was convinced to do two (because the teeth were next to each other) and was reminded of a "cash discount" -- $4,000 each -- if I paid in cash rather than credit card. This felt questionable, but I trusted them as professionals. I paid $8,000 in cash. During that visit, I was also told I needed to see his partner for additional work -- another $2,000. One of the crowns he placed caused ongoing pain whenever I chewed for over a year and a half. I returned to his office repeatedly for bite adjustments, which eventually caused issues on the other side of my mouth. Finally, he referred me to an Endodontist (another $600) who confirmed the problem wasn't the root -- it was likely the crown. Dr. Roth refused to acknowledge that possibility. Eventually, I saw another dentist who not only confirmed the crown was the likely culprit, but also stated the two other crowns Dr. Roth recommended were completely unnecessary. That dentist charged $3,800 for a NEW crown (on a credit card, no "cash discount" gimmick) and came highly recommended by trusted friends. However, I decided to wait -- but six months later, the ever-present problematic crown Dr. Roth placed fell out. My new dentist confirmed the reason it fell out, and likely the cause of the 1.5 years of pain when I chewed was that it had been improperly placed from the start. For context: Dr. Roth also quoted me $10,000 for 6 months of Invisalign. I later went to Dr. Goodman (a #1 Invisalign provider) for the exact treatment-- and paid $5,200. Once Dr. Roth learned I went elsewhere, his demeanor noticeably shifted. Bottom line: in my experience, Dr. Roth over-treats, overcharges, improperly places crowns, and pushes unnecessary work. His refusal to take accountability for faulty dental work left me in pain for over a year, thousands of dollars lighter, and still needing to fix his mistakes. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM.

The actual diagnosis was arthritis in my jaw with 3D x-rays to prove it. Another way they scammed me was that Dr. Chase insisted I needed a cleaning every 3 months because my teeth were "so bad" and they would all "fall out", needing dentures. My new dentist assured me my teeth were actually fine, I brush well, and took the more reasonable and insurance covered approach of cleanings every 6 months. Truly BEWARE of this place.

During these past 12 years (and various referrals), I have never had a single complaint about Dr. Raiber or his office staff. He is a quick, efficient and (most importantly) honest dentist. There are other dentists in NYC that will try to cheat you (and your insurance company) by suggesting unnecessary procedures (cavities, root canals, etc.). Dr. Raiber is not one of these dentists! He is very honest and has never done anything to me or my friends/family to suggest otherwise. Dr. Raiber's office staff is great too. Appointments always run on time, there are never any scheduling issues, and I have never had a billing issue. I have been lucky in that I have not needed any procedures other than standard bi-annual checkup and cleaning, so I cannot comment on Dr. Raiber's performance in other procedures. However, my friends have said that he performs other procedures well and with minimal pain. The only downside is that Dr. Raiber does not accept my current insurance (Oxford Dental), so I will have to find a new dentist until Oxford decides to add Dr. Raiber to its plan.

THIS DENTIST IS RACIST, DO NOT GO TO HIM!!!!…read more Me (a white skinned woman) and my boyfriend (a black man) have went to this dentist about 3 times and had a fourth appointment which we ultimately cancelled. We both needed a root canal and crown, after the initial visit which was a cleaning and xray, the dentist tells us our insurance covers the root canal and crown and that we would need to pay a co-pay which was ~$1500, which we paid immediately when asked and never had no issues. after our 3rd appointment the dentist has his receptionist man call me and say the insurance didn't cover anything, this was on 6/20/23, which they also immediately mailed me a bill dated 6/20 as well for almost $5k. Since then me and the insurance have been non-stop calling the dentist trying to get a discount which my insurance provides. The whole time the insurance got them on the phone maybe like 2 times, one where the receptionist man said he doesn't know what im talking about, then eventually July 1st the receptionist called my phone telling me that they will provide the discount of 20% (mind you our appointment was scheduled for July 3) as i'm on the phone with the receptionist I tell him I will have to cancel because I cannot afford the price they are giving me since I was under the impression by them that the insurance covered it, AND ALSO I WAS TRYING FOR TWO WEEKS. The dentist got on the phone telling me I have to pay even though since the crown is already made, which typically I get, but not if i been trying to contact you for 2 weeks before the crown was even made. And the he starts yelling at me, in which my boyfriend gets on the phone and starts yelling back and eventually we we say if we cannot handle this on the phone then we will come in person and the dentist says PLEASE COME, so we hang up and make our way. About 20 mins later while we are in the car, the police call my phone from the dentist phone number. When we arrive at the dentist there is arguing and yell and the police threaten to arrest us even though we did nothing wrong, this is all based off what the dentist told them and lied about. And as im arguing with the dentist he tells us he's not scared of us (which we made no threats or anything so there would be no reason for you to say that.) My boyfriend says so if you aren't scared then why is there 4 police cars here, and the dentist says they aren't here for me they're here for you, and proceeds to call my boyfriend a THUG. which was uncalled for because my boyfriend did nothing to the dentist and when we call him out on being racist, the dentist looks to the ONLY black officer saying "what's racist" and I tell him his actions in itself are racist and how is my bf a thug and I'm not when I have the same energy as him. To top it all off, after the initial cleaning, the dentist chipped one of my bf's teeth which has been causing him more pain and we notified him of that, and he was suppose to look at it on our july 3 appointment, which never happened. Ultimately the dentist agreed to take off the crown since that was not yet serviced, but refused to give me a bill reflecting that so I could review and pay. He demanded I pay the remainder first before he shows me a bill and takes it off. I refused and he threatened to send me to collections after 30 days if i don't pay. Not sure how I can pay if i don't have a bill. Regardless I contacted my attorney and we will be handling this in court if the dentist choses to.
