I have been going to Kamala for a few months now and she always does a great job threading my eyebrows!

As I write this on 3/1/21, Kamala's Threading is open! I have come here four or five times over the past twelve months to get my eyebrows threaded, and Kamala does an excellent job every time (note: this business has been closed whenever the city has required it). The cost is $10 for brows. Ms. Kamala has figured out a way to thread while keeping her mask on (she wraps her end of the thread around her neck, rather than the usual practice of holding her end in the teeth). This business is conveniently located across the street from Trader Joe's, so you can combine your threading with some grocery shopping, if you wish. Even better, Gold Leaf Cafe is located next door, and they have excellent coffees! I always get an iced oat milk latte, lightly sweetened, my favorite. I enjoy coming here for the great service, price and location. I already have this scheduled on my calendar for a month from now to return. I am looking forward to it! read more

Service here is friendly and straightforward. I usually get my brows done here and it doesn't hurt at all, compared to experiences at other threading salons. Very quick and experienced as well, I always ask for a "cleanup" and my brows are always shaped in a manner that suits my face. Definitely try this conveniently located salon! I'm so happy with my brows by Kamala. And not just day of but days and weeks later. Kamala listened to my request to keep my brows thick. I've been coming to this location to get my eyebrows done for the last four months I love the work that she does and how patient she is with me, I tend to be difficult sometimes on how I want things done my last few visits I don't even have to remind her she just knows my face now I have also been getting Henna done and she does an amazing job. I don't live near by but I needed to get my eyebrows done. I looked up threading places near me and I found the best one. My eyebrows were extremely bushy before because it had been months but when I saw them after Kamala was done, I gasped out loud. Haha. I have been going to Kamala for many years as she used To work at another threading spot and then I always missed her wonderful skill until I ran into her shop and discovered she had gone independent. What a great find, as I had but had a threader as good as she is. She is perfect with shaping, her hand is skilled and therefore the process is less painful and she also has "magic hands" as I always swear she reduces my hair growth whereas other threaders leave me bumps, redness and lots of missed spots. Her shop is conveniently located across from Trader Joe's and a great coffee shop called Gold Leaf and a wonderful vegetarian Indian chaat spot. Parking is a bit tricky but the best bet is to pair a visit with a TJ shopping trip or park in the streets behind it. read more

I was referred to Kamala's by a friend after talking about my covid-19 eyebrow woes. Kamala checks your temperature, asks you sanitize, and wears a mask the whole time. The salon is open and spacious and the whole experience feels safe on top of Kamala being excellent at threading! If you need your brows threaded, this is the place to go. I haven't had anything done to my (very bushy) brows since well before COVID, and I am always nervous to try someone new as I've had my brows screwed up in the past many times. I chose this place because of the great reviews and I am SO happy with my brows. Kamala is fast, kind, professional, was able to take me as a walk-in pretty much immediately, and did an absolutely gorgeous job on my brows and upper lip. I could not be happier with her work! Reasonably priced, and -- strangely enough -- I feel like it hurt less than any other threading experience I've had. Also, she gives a really sweet temple/forehead massage with aloe as a lovely way to punctuate the appointment and reduce redness. I could not recommend Kamala more highly! read more

I've practiced every form of brow shaping and hair removal I can think of since about the age of 12: tweezing, shaving, waxing, etc. but I haven't tried threading until I visited Kamala. As I get older (I'm 39), my face is getting more peach fuzz so it was nice to have the option to address that as well as my brows - Kamala offers full facial threading! After my first session, I can say I absolutely adore Kamala and I really liked threading. It is slower than wax so in the sensitive spots (above lip for example) it was a bit more painful than waxing, but in other areas like my chin/jawline it felt really good! The best thing is that it DIDN'T PULL ON MY SKIN (also a concern these days, lol). It didn't give me a ton of little bumps like waxing does while lasting just as long. In the end, the shape was almost perfect - Kamala somehow made my asymmetric eyebrows match! 10 out of 10 I will be back! read more

Disappointed. Was very clear about what I wanted, mentioned that I was trying to grow part of my eyebrows back out, so to keep them as thick as possible, only cleaning up the scraggly hairs and NO arch. Walked out with arched eyebrows and all the hair that I was growing back was gone. Additionally, eyebrows are slightly uneven. The work itself is not bad, but the clear opposite of what I asked for :( read more
