She is sweet, professional, and meticulous, with over a decade of experience, and she consults with you every step of the way to ensure you're comfortable with the process and results. I've always worried about symmetry, shape and visibility of my blonde brows, and the discussion of "eyebrow blindness" on social media really pushed me to see a professional. I researched several highly rated eyebrow shaping salons, but many had a common theme: while some staff members were praised, high turnover made the results unpredictable. I chose Anita because she's the owner and the only one handling the work. I first contacted Anita to let her know I had no idea what services I needed (Wax? Threading? Tinting? Lamination?) but she said I could just book an appointment and she could change services if needed once we discussed in person. I was nervous about going to someone for the first time, but Anita listened to my concerns and put me at ease. She recommended keeping my fullness, explained she wouldn't go too thin, and I was confident she knew what she was doing. She recommended starting with the basics, and explained that lamination might be unnecessary. She suggested waxing for initial shaping, followed by threading for precision, and a light tint to define my brows without going too dark. Throughout, she worked carefully in cycles, letting me inspect the progress, comparing to before photos, and meticulously refining the shape until it was perfect. Waxing was not as painful as I expected, and she applied soothing aloe after. Threading was not at all painful. Waxing made my skin a bit red for a while afterwards, but I was going directly home afterwards so it didn't matter to me. I was nervous about tinting, but Anita explained the process, ensuring the shade wouldn't be too bold and said she could keep wiping to lighten if necessary. She said it would continue to fade and only lasts about 12 days, so I wasn't worried about a commitment if I didn't end up liking it. After the reveal, it initially seemed darker than I expected, and she offered to lighten, but after she showed me the before-and-after photos, I realized it was only a subtle change and I just wasn't used to it. The entire session, including tinting, took about 45 minutes and cost $60 ($40 for initial shaping and $20 tint), very reasonable cost for such personalized care. I've already received a bunch of complements on my brows, and am very happy with them. Anita's office is quiet and cozy, tucked inside an office complex (Salon Republic), and she plays soothing music while she works. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded my entire life and this is definitely the best experience I've had! Anita's attention to detail is unmatched. She makes sure she understands what you want before she starts and consults you throughout the process. The threading itself is very gentle; definitely the least painful threading I've gotten. My eyebrows are naturally asymmetrical, but she made them look the most symmetrical I've ever seen them. She's very kind and makes you feel comfortable and heard throughout the entire process. Her salon is super clean, and she provides you with hand sanitizer as well as sanitizes her hands before each service. I really appreciated that because some threaders don't sanitize their hands beforehand. She also puts on a face mask before the service, which is a nice touch because I have had threaders accidentally spit on me before. Loved that she has an online booking system that makes it easy to make and modify appointments. The appointment started and ended perfectly on time, which I appreciated as well. I am SO pleased with how my eyebrows came out after a threading service. It had been about five months since I had last got them done so as you can see they were rough. I also have naturally unsymmetrical eyebrows and one grows higher + more hair than the other. Despite this, Anita was able to make them look symmetrical! She started the session by asking me how I would like to shape my brows and got me exactly what I asked for (full, with a slight arch). I've gone to Anita for a Brazilian wax a few times now, and every visit is an absolute joy. She is incredibly thorough and wonderful to talk to. In the past for Brazilian waxes, I've always had soft wax used on me, but Anita only uses hard wax. I was absolutely SHOCKED at how painless it was. Typically, I would have to plan my whole day to recover after getting waxed, but I'm able to get back to all my normal activities after Anita! I left my first appointment with her in a state of bliss and have been returning to her since. Anita is so kind and explained everything that happens during the process of the wax.
