Service and latte was good but nothing to rave about. Store was clean and fast. Mocha was a little bland.

Kaldi's is the local coffee chain with stores around the area. It competes more against Starbucks than the parking lot kiosk coffee vendors, because Kaldi's provides indoor seating as well as drive-thru service, plus a fuller food menu. Here, there is also comfortable but unshaded outdoor seating--a disadvantage during the steamy St. Louis summers. This location offers breakfast items, sandwiches, and salads besides coffee, tea. smoothies, and frozen coffee drinks. The drive-thru onto usually busy Clarkson Road is an easy in and out. FYI: Kaldi's roasts its own beans in town for better control over its product.

    The burrito online

The food here seems to be prepared differently than the other locations near ladue and Clayton, see picture for reference of the bfast burrito compared to what it looks like online. I've had it many times at other locations and this one seems to always make it differently. Not to mention the lattes are always off, they taste shocked and not prepared correctly. Friends have also told me not to go to this one because they don't do it like the other Kaldis do. Disappointing because I love Kaldis and go weekly.

Iced Masala Chai Latte with Almond Milk and one shot of Espresso

I've been to various Kaldi's locations numerous times. I would give this experience 3 stars, but usually I enjoy it much more which is why I'm giving an extra star. In general, Kaldi's can be a bit pricey, but has much better food and coffee than its competitors--Starbucks, Panera, and Dunkin. This Kaldi's is small and mainly a drive thru location. However, you can go inside to order or pick up your online order. I ordered online and had no problems. It was convenient and ready when I came in. I was welcomed at the door too, which is always nice! Although small, the interior is still very cute and simple. There are places to sit outside, but it was pretty windy. Nonetheless, the tables had umbrellas for shade and this is a great place to get some work done on a nice (less windy) day. Their coffee is to die for, but tasted a little watered down this time. I got the Masala Chai Latte, but didn't taste much of a chai flavor. I got a shot of espresso in it and was pleased that the coffee didn't taste overwhelmingly sweet. I appreciate that their coffee typically has a fresher taste to it, compared to other coffees which don't necessarily taste old, but do taste a little bit more artificial. The coffee is usually a bit better than this one was, but I would still give it 4 stars. The sandwich left me wishing for a little bit more, as the brioche didn't have much flavor and the egg was a little overdone. My coffee and sandwich came out to a little over $15, which felt like a lot for a coffee and egg and cheese sandwich. I would give the sandwich 2 or 3 stars, but have loved their food other times I have had it, so this is definitely an outlier. Overall, I highly recommend Kaldi's and will be going again!!

New Kaldi's Coffee Drive Thru Location

I have been incredibly excited for this location to open since it is so close to home for me. This is Kaldi's first drive thru location conveniently placed right on Clarkson with easy access in and out, along with plenty of parking should you want to stay and enjoy the outdoor seating The indoor space is smaller and there is not any space for seating indoors; however, there is plenty of outdoor space with tables available - and pet friendly outside! The staff is very nice and they are informative if you have questions and/or are torn on what to order. As of now, there are some pastries available on-site should you want a sweet treat with your coffee or tea. I enjoyed a non-fat house made vanilla latte. It was well balanced and perfectly piping hot. I look forward to my next one! Don't forget to sign up for Kaldi's rewards!

Kaldi's is my favorite local coffee shop. Drove through today and got the iced lavender rose latte which was fantastic. They also had the blistered tomatoes and whipped feta on toast which hit the spot. Everything is fresh and healthy. Love the vibe/decor inside as well. Staff is always quick and friendly as well.

Always love Kaldis. The cinnamon cardamom latte was delicious. Very reminiscent of middle eastern inspired flavors and not too sweet. Perfectly steamed milk and excellent rich espresso. The cappuccino is also very delicious.

My so didn't even finish his drink as it tasted like mostly milk.

We were welcomed in and got in line to place our order. The case of pastries is fun to look at! We ordered and sat down to wait. Our coffee and food were good, but having been there before, we knew they would be. What I enjoy just as much as the menu items, is looking at the beautiful clothing that some of the women wear. I don't know all the correct words for the traditional clothing they wear and don't want to be disrespectful and use the wrong words! But some of them are absolutely gorgeous! Some of the men also wear their traditional clothing. I make an effort to not look too much, but some of the garments are hard to look away from! Go for the coffee and pastries, and enjoy seeing the traditional garments!

Lots of seating. The parking lot directly in front was significantly smaller than the one it was attached to, and completely full. There was a food truck and a shaved ice place, so we had to park further away by the Chuck E. Cheese. Not too bad of a walk, though, just something to note for folks who can't go long distances. I also didn't expect to spend $10 on the croissant and personally wouldn't spend that again. Coffee syrups were 1883 brand, and my preferred is house made syrup (especially for a $7 latte). However, almost anything is better than Torani! Still a nice treat to try for a first timer. I'll be back if I'm ever in the area again!

When you enter, it's very small but very well put together décor wise. Each area had signs that discouraged movement of their furniture and had its own kind of theme. I was meeting up with a friend and her daughter and unfortunately did not realize they had the typical café hours (closed at 2pm) so my visit was very quick (30 minutes) and I had to rush my conversation. I ordered an iced Monstera Mint latte and chocolate coffee cake slice. When the barista called up my order, I repeated my order asking if it's mine (they don't use a name system) and apparently *I* mispronounced MONSTERA because she turned her back and said within earshot to her coworker how I did not pronounce it correctly and why do people say it incorrectly. I am not a big plant person so excuse me for not knowing how every single plant name is pronounced. I know people vent at work, but it made me feel uncomfortable the rest of my visit, so I was glad it was almost time to leave before they closed. Vent after customers leave if you have to.... Anyways, my MONSTER-AH mint latte was good, but the chocolate coffee cake was a bit too dry for me. And service could have been a bit more professional in my opinion.

We told the host that we would be standing on their patio since there was no place to stand inside. After waiting for about a half hour, a new person (I believe the owner) walked out and asked us what we were waiting for. We had been crossed off the list and were just standing around aimlessly for much of the time. We were seated in overflow tables outside, of which there were multiple, and we could have been seated 30 minutes prior. We were told by others in the party that checking in here is often challenging. Off to more info: The interior has a cozy upscale pub feel with sports playing on multiple TVs. There was live music last night with a $5 cover charge, which seems reasonable. The crowd is mostly older and dressed in business casual. I enjoyed the salmon tacos with a side salad. The tacos came with a fresh Sriracha-mayo (or similar) sauce and mango salsa topping. The salad had an avocado ranch dressing. I paired it with a house Pinot Grigio. The server was attentive despite the busy night at this smaller grille. Outdoor seating on the patio has a wind screen with heaters, and we could still hear the music (without being charged a cover fee, bonus). Overall, we would definitely return and just be ready for some errors while checking in.

I'm not sure what this place even is, despite having dined there yesterday. It serves breakfast,…read morelunch and dinner, and doesn't seem to specialize in anything in particular. It's in a weirdly large building that looks like a place where you'd go to get lasik surgery. I visited after a run on a day where the heat index was like 109, so I didn't spend that much time inside, just enough to drip sweat all over the front counter and the floor in the vestibule. We sat outside in an area that seems like the place where you'd pull up and unload your luggage at a hotel. A member of our group says she once attended some sort of Xmas pop-up in the basement here where you were charged a cover and then expected to pay for drinks and pizza, so... uh, caveat emptor. We ordered at the little bar up front, but I'm not sure if that's also the case if you dine inside. These places always flip out when there's umpteen different people ordering separately, because they only have but so many of those numbers you set on the table so they know where to bring your food. It ended up not being an issue with us, because who else was going to engage in al fresco dining during a heat advisory? This place serves pizza, but it didn't look that good in the few photos I saw. Granted, food often looks like crap in Yelp photos. Also, there's an emphasis on '90s-style health food, organic ingredients and what have you. There's a Salmon BLT that's featured prominently that seemed like it might be the thing to get, but I didn't know enough about this place to be ordering fish, and I'd already been meaning to eat a bacon cheeseburger for the past several days. Maybe next time. There is no bacon cheeseburger as a separate menu item unto itself. I figured I might just order a cheeseburger and add bacon, but I'm not sure if that's an option, and this wasn't a regular cheeseburger. It had a few different weird cheeses on it, spinach and maybe some other things. Then I saw the Dill-bert, which seemed like it might be really good. It has, among other things, dill Havarti cheese (whatever that is), avocado, and of course, bacon. It's served on a wheat bun, which, whatever. Its name is not a tribute to Scott Adams, as far as I know, but this is Ballwin. The Dill-bert did not disappoint. No Diddy. The beef comes from one of those special farms where the cows are all given names as if they were human beings, groomed on a daily basis by trafficking victims and read bedtime stories, and you really can taste the difference. It's a better quality meat. It's also expertly prepared. It's well-seasoned and cooked until it develops a nice char on the exterior. It was a bit more done on the inside than I require, but that may have been unavoidable. For a side, there was an option of tater tots cooked in an air fryer, like if your mom was feeling lazy. I didn't see any french fries, but maybe I'm going blind. I ordered a side salad, which is my thing these days. Sometimes they're surprisingly good, and a french fry is a french fry, unless you're at McDonald's. This one was pretty good, but it was definitely on the health-food side of things--very fresh and lightly but sufficiently dressed with something citrus-y and not too oily. Oh, and I was duped into purchasing a whiskey sour slushie. It just seemed like it would be so refreshing. It must have cost nearly as much as my meal, given what my bill came out to. They must think I'm a sucker. Did they receive advance notice of my visit? It did kinda hit the spot, and I probably got drunker than I would have otherwise, because I was suffering from a minor heatstroke, so there was that.

The kitchen staff did look short, but I can't imagine it takes that long to whip up some deviled eggs. Additionally, we were informed half way in that two of the three items we ordered they had somehow ran out of. Mind you this was at 7:30, peak dinner service. For the sake of being nitpicky, we had also only received a singular water refill the entire night. Brutal. Now I would be willing to set all of this aside if the food actually delivered to any degree, but it was all very below par. These deviled eggs were sad. I am confident I could make these better at home, better yet buy them at a grocery store. While the pork shank was massive, the chutney it came cooked in was entirely too salty and dominated what was already a one-note flavor profile. The burger was nothing extraordinary.. definitely more rare than the medium we had asked for. Just an overall dissatisfactory experience to say the least. One of the more memorable meals I've had, but for all the wrong reasons. TLDR: Brutal service, mediocre food
