Always really friendly staff at the drive-through! Not to mention just overall great coffee!

I love a good iced coffee in the morning and a great pastry and had some good experiences last time I was in town at one of their other locations. This location is basically just a drive-through location which my husband didn't notice when he found it - there is no seating inside at all aside from one super small bench and then there are about 4 patio tables (but it had rained so we weren't sitting out there). I tried one of their muffins as well and loved it - very moist. Coffee was good and pastries are on point - staff were friendly. read more

Kaldi's is the local coffee chain with stores around the area. It competes more against Starbucks than the parking lot kiosk coffee vendors, because Kaldi's provides indoor seating as well as drive-thru service, plus a fuller food menu. Here, there is also comfortable but unshaded outdoor seating--a disadvantage during the steamy St. Louis summers. This location offers breakfast items, sandwiches, and salads besides coffee, tea. smoothies, and frozen coffee drinks. The drive-thru onto usually busy Clarkson Road is an easy in and out. FYI: Kaldi's roasts its own beans in town for better control over its product. read more

The food here seems to be prepared differently than the other locations near ladue and Clayton, see picture for reference of the bfast burrito compared to what it looks like online. I've had it many times at other locations and this one seems to always make it differently. Not to mention the lattes are always off, they taste shocked and not prepared correctly. Friends have also told me not to go to this one because they don't do it like the other Kaldis do. Disappointing because I love Kaldis and go weekly. read more

I ordered a coffee and shortly after noticed a hair in my drink. I went back to let them know, and while they did remake it, there was no apology and the remake wasn't made correctly either. The staff wasn't rude, but the situation wasn't handled well overall. Unfortunately, because of the lack of care and attention, I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

I've been to various Kaldi's locations numerous times. I would give this experience 3 stars, but usually I enjoy it much more which is why I'm giving an extra star. In general, Kaldi's can be a bit pricey, but has much better food and coffee than its competitors--Starbucks, Panera, and Dunkin. This Kaldi's is small and mainly a drive thru location. However, you can go inside to order or pick up your online order. I ordered online and had no problems. It was convenient and ready when I came in. I was welcomed at the door too, which is always nice! Although small, the interior is still very cute and simple. There are places to sit outside, but it was pretty windy. Nonetheless, the tables had umbrellas for shade and this is a great place to get some work done on a nice (less windy) day. Their coffee is to die for, but tasted a little watered down this time. I got the Masala Chai Latte, but didn't taste much of a chai flavor. I got a shot of espresso in it and was pleased that the coffee didn't taste overwhelmingly sweet. I appreciate that their coffee typically has a fresher taste to it, compared to other coffees which don't necessarily taste old, but do taste a little bit more artificial. The coffee is usually a bit better than this one was, but I would still give it 4 stars. The sandwich left me wishing for a little bit more, as the brioche didn't have much flavor and the egg was a little overdone. My coffee and sandwich came out to a little over $15, which felt like a lot for a coffee and egg and cheese sandwich. I would give the sandwich 2 or 3 stars, but have loved their food other times I have had it, so this is definitely an outlier. Overall, I highly recommend Kaldi's and will be going again!! read more

I have been incredibly excited for this location to open since it is so close to home for me. This is Kaldi's first drive thru location conveniently placed right on Clarkson with easy access in and out, along with plenty of parking should you want to stay and enjoy the outdoor seating The indoor space is smaller and there is not any space for seating indoors; however, there is plenty of outdoor space with tables available - and pet friendly outside! The staff is very nice and they are informative if you have questions and/or are torn on what to order. As of now, there are some pastries available on-site should you want a sweet treat with your coffee or tea. I enjoyed a non-fat house made vanilla latte. It was well balanced and perfectly piping hot. I look forward to my next one! Don't forget to sign up for Kaldi's rewards! read more

This Kaldi's Coffee shop is smaller than the other cafés I've been too, but it's nice. It has just finished being built, and it is right off a big road. I stopped by this Kaldi's cafe on a Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their coffee! The cafe is cozy and inviting, with a variety of seating options and a large patio. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the service was fast and efficient. read more

Kaldi's is my favorite local coffee shop. Drove through today and got the iced lavender rose latte which was fantastic. They also had the blistered tomatoes and whipped feta on toast which hit the spot. Everything is fresh and healthy. Love the vibe/decor inside as well. Dine in or drive through this free standing location. I had never been to Kaldi's before but needed a gift card. Thought I'd also try a white hot mocha, usually my favorite. Went through drive through. Fast and friendly service. I either got someone else's order or they forgot the white mocha because it just tasted like coffee with a lot of milk added. It's Sunday March 19th at 10:20 am. This is the second time I've been to Kaldi's in Ellisville this week. The first time I ordered a vanilla latte and it tasted like watered down coffee milk you could barely taste the espresso. Today I ordered a large nonfat cappuccino. Female employee starts to hand me the cup and says nonfat Latte. I told her I ordered a nonfat cappuccino. The sticker on the cup said latte. She proceeds to tell me no it's a cappuccino. So I take the cup and drove away and instantly knew that it wasn't a cappuccino because The cup felt like a brick it was all milk and no foam. I tasted it and you could barely taste the espresso flavor it was coffee milk it's absolutely horrible. I'm mad at myself that I didn't have her make remake it at the window. I feel like I got hoodwinked. Starbucks would have instantly remade it seeing the sticker said latte. read more

This is a tough one!!!! This is a cute and cozy coffee shop! It's even cozier if you get lucky enough to snatch a comfy chair by the mini fireplace. Ambiance I give a 5. Today I ordered quiche with a side of sweet potato fries and the hibiscus tea! The quiche to me is not a traditional quiche. It lacks the flavor of a savory quiche. It also has a texture that is almost thick. When you cut a piece with your fork it doesn't crumble it stays more like a thick egg custard if that makes sense. Is it bad, no, the best quiche no. The sweet potato fries are very flavorful and a pleasing side. On recommendation of one of the servers/managers my friend and I each got hot tea. Lots of flavors to choose from. I asked for honey and lemon. The server went to cut fresh lemons for me and a got a cup full of honey ! As we were leaving to clean up our plates the same gentleman offered to come clear the table for us ! God those reasons I will get it a 4. If I were to rate solely on my food today, a 3.5. Don't expect a large variety of food choices but certainly enough to suit this cute coffee place. read more

Always love Kaldis. The cinnamon cardamom latte was delicious. Very reminiscent of middle eastern inspired flavors and not too sweet. Perfectly steamed milk and excellent rich espresso. The cappuccino is also very delicious. read more

Award for being lazy and not wanting to brew decaf coffee, this place will just turn you away and send you to the gas station.

The staff has a huge "learning opportunity" in front of them! The employees were friendly, but service was poor because the two young women with whom I spoke were entirely ignorant and uninformed about the concept of coffee acidity. They didn't know that various regions of the world naturally produce coffees of differing acidity levels. Hence, neither one of them could tell me which of their coffees are low in acidity (if there ever are any). On top of this, neither one of them is a coffee drinker, so they're both further removed from the ability to make product recommendations. I've never worked in a coffee shop, but I'm many times more knowledgeable about coffee than those two employees. This place has some good potential - as long as the employees get basic coffee product training! I'll stick with Starbucks. read more

Their service was quick, but quality of sandwich was below subpar. Generic sliced deli meat on a stale bun, packet of generic dressing on the side, I could have ordered this for half the price premade at an upscale grocery, or spent the same amount on fresher ingredients to make a half dozen at home. Ordered a turkey and cheese sandwich. With tax $9.98. What a joke, tasted ok with sauce packet. Serving size was way to small...not freshly made. King of the Hill sandwich from Schnucks would be a much better lunch sandwich. read more

Basically a drive through although there are outdoor tables. Easy quick and friendly staff. A bit more limited menu vs other locations but plenty to choose from. Same good coffee and plenty of breakfast items. read more

I had high hopes for this location because I love their packaged coffees. However the drip coffee was similar to the coffee left in the pot for too long at the office. I have also tried their latte and blueberry scone which were not terrible but I think I'll go back to Panera. read more
