This is a definitely a hidden gem worth visiting! I happened to be in the area and remembered I had…read morebeen here once before, but figured it was time for a return trip. They had a ton of pastries fall themed and while they all looked quite appealing, I went for a simple blueberry scone. This was a hard decision because I was definitely eyeing that key lime pie, but then I remembered it's 9:00 in the morning and I better settle down. The scone set me back $6.80, which I think is more than fair considering its size. Everything in there is huge, especially the brownies, but you'll def get your moneys worth. When I paid, they handed me a box and I went on my way. On my way to the car I was thinking it was rather heavy for a scone, but of course when once I pulled off and started driving, I opened the box and discovered I was given the wrong order! I had to turn around and go back and once I got inside, they had it ready for me. Biting into it was like heaven. I wished it were a tad bit warmer, but it was still good. I love pastries that use fresh ingredients and you can def tell they do at this bakery. The blueberries oozed with each bite and really complemented the other flavors associated with the scone. I suggest taking your time to savor each bite and because it's huge, so you'll get full quickly. I def made the right choice and despite the order mix up, I'd certainly visit again.

Not a lot of parking, but lots of street parking and it's in a very walkable neighborhood. This place is order first, and then find a seat! And there is plenty of seating inside and in their covered patio! They have the menus all up front for you: breakfast and lunch, kid's menu, and drink menu. We ordered: Croque Madame Crepe - standard crepe, but w all the croque Madame fixings! The ham was soo good in this The Lake Bake - poached eggs on HASH BROWNS! Great seasoning on the potatoes. Just Cheese Flatbread - my 3 year old loved it! Orange Juice Cold Brew w milk Apple Juice I loved our breakfast! It was simple and filling! The atmosphere here is so lovely so I recommend visiting. It is also huge space. The further you go in, the more seating there is and a covered patio as well! The breakfast we ordered didn't come with any sides but it was still very filling and big portions! My son loved his flatbread. The staff here was also super nice!

So peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect start to our morning! What truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Jenn. She was incredible from start to finish!! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made great recommendations, checked on us at all the right times, and went above and beyond in ways you don't see often. My husband is picky about biscuits and gravy, and Jenn kindly brought him a sample of the gravy first to make sure he'd like it...such a small gesture to some people, but truly made it special for my husband. She even sent us off with coffee to go, which we really appreciated!! The food was just as impressive. I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were nice and crispy, Jenn recommended the ham, which was so flavorful and perfectly charred, so good!!! My husband ended up loving his biscuits and gravy! Between the amazing service, delicious food, and relaxing riverfront setting, this was easily one of our favorite breakfast experiences. Jenn truly made it memorable, and we'll definitely be asking for her every time we come back. Can't wait to return!!

What a charming cafe in the middle of a charming Downtown area!…read more It was freezing the morning we went in, but I was wanting breakfast - specifically pancakes. I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We found parking right in front of FPC, mainly because it was a cold, Monday morning. We were greeted immediately, and inside was much smaller than I expected. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu!

The pumpkin cream top is subtle but the perfect sweet addition to the chai. Love this place so much!

I couldn't find the sleeve, maybe they have it... the chocolate chips cookie is average, a bit thin and dry for my liking.

The interior is small, about 20 seats spread across different tables. There is an area to place orders, but that's for carry out. You also check in there and then grab any open table if you are going to eat in. The interior is decorated with random stuff that is meant to look French, but just makes it appear cluttered. We ordered a couple of breakfasts and waited for a while for them to come out. Coffee was basic and the London fog was really watered down. But the worst was when the food came, I ordered over easy eggs, and the came out way undercooked. Like, still very liquid. But since our server never came back to check on us, I ate everything else. While we waited, we heard them explain to someone that they don't make most of their pastries, which was disappointing. When our sever finally came back to drop off the check I showed her the eggs and asked for them to be taken off the bill. She tapped on the handheld device for a second and handed it to me for payment. When I asked for a copy of the receipt, she seemed nervous. After I got it, i noticed that it had not been taken off. She left to go to other tables and I didn't feel like being there anymore. I would suggest skipping this place and trying the other restaurants in the area. Better food and better service!

They offer a beautiful pastry case full of delicious homemade treats. I grabbed a cinnamon roll because they were flying out of the case while I waited! The roll was tender and full of delicious cinnamon sugar topped with a cream cheese frosting. They offer a generous breakfast menu of sandwiches, breakfast plates, and omelettes. Again, I prefer savory to sweet and decided on a chicken salad sandwich. The croissant was nice and flaky and crispy. The chicken salad was well seasoned and paired perfectly with a juicy tomato slice and iceberg lettuce. MeMe's does offer a variety of hot and iced coffee. The milk selections are limited. I also found the coffee to be too sweet for my tastes. I'll have them add a lot less sweetener next time. Prefer hot coffee? They offer a small bar of sweeteners and flavored creamer to customize your coffee. All in all a delightful experience. The food and service are great.

I decided to stop at Seven Brew on First Capitol/94 and figured a sweet, caffeinated drink would do the trick. The girl taking my order told me she was new, and she was very nice, but she wasn't really able to give me any recommendations. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so I was looking for something sweet that didn't really taste like coffee but would still give me the caffeine I needed. I ended up going with the default Blondie, which seems to be what they usually recommend when you say you don't like coffee but want something sweet. I know there's also a chocolate option, but for the life of me, I couldn't remember the name! When I pulled up, I immediately noticed that it just didn't have the usual Seven Brew vibe. Normally, there's fun writing and surveys on the windows with chalk markers, but this morning the windows were completely blank. There was also no music. Now, it was 6 AM, so I completely understand not blasting music that early, but it still made the experience feel a little different. Usually, the employees also chat with you and make the interaction fun. This time, the person who handed me my drink was mostly talking with the other employees in the stand and basically just handed me my drink and sent me on my way. It wasn't rude, but it definitely felt more like a transaction than the experience I'm used to having at Seven Brew. The drink itself was okay. It still tasted much more like coffee than I would have preferred, but it was drinkable and gave me the caffeine I needed to survive that early-morning cheer practice. Overall, this was definitely an underwhelming Seven Brew experience compared to my usual visits. It could absolutely have been because it was so early in the morning, although I have had some issues with this particular stand in the past, too. That said, I still like Seven Brew and will be back. Hopefully my next visit has a little more of that fun Seven Brew energy I've come to expect!
