Serene with a mild breeze, we would have liked to sit and read for an hour or two, if time allowed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I almost always go for a red eye when I visit a coffee shop for the first time, but there are alot of appealing alternatives; I might have to try Maple Bourbon latte on a future visit. Being a major fan of breakfast food, I had to order the hearty Brake Shop burrito, packed with scrambled eggs, bacon, cripsy tater tots, and pico del gallo. It arrived quickly, hot, and even more filling and flavorful than I expected. Beyond that, Upshot offers an ample menu of other breakfast and lunch options; my wife ordered a Turkey Sando and custom-made iced vanilla latte with oatmilk. I've stopped by this place almost every weekend to do some work. I normally get the matcha with lavender syrup but saw they had coconut cream cold brew so I tried that one. I couldn't really taste the coconut as much in this drink. Staff and service was nice and friendly. Drinks are made quickly. I'm also a fan of their avocado toast. How much love i have for the Upshot flagship!! The location is perfect, right in the heart of cottleville. They have my favorite espresso ever! They prioritize quality and consistency with every cup. Best tasting coffee I have had in a long time! Absolutely knock it out of the park on their roasts. Stopped in today for the first time and was delighted with how busy the shop was- this is the type of coffee shop you come for a date or to meet up with a friend. Intimate and made for doing a little work or catching up. No drive thru. Their menu definitely seems designed for ordering in- I took my Americano to go and was a little disappointed with the size options- there's only one size and it's small. My Americano came in the size of a to go cup you get with hotel coffee. The prices weren't bad and they have a good selection of milk options. Their flavor options were very creative and seemed like they might be homemade- I loved the idea of them, but I do wish they offered sugar free options. They had a decent food menu and a lot of it was displayed in their glass cabinet. Some gluten free and some vegan. The last thing I will say is that on a Thursday late morning (around 10) it took about 15 minutes to get my Americano- so not great if you are in a rush, but this really is a great place to come and stay awhile. read more

Now you can make your own breakfast sandwich which I appreciate but also despise. The. "Make your own" sandwich includes a breakfast meat, which many people just don't eat anymore. No discount or ability to swap something else. Every other topping costs extra contributing to a likely very expensive sandwich. And the sandwich size I swear has shrunk. The coffee is so good but I've noticed they have sick employees working all the time and it makes me really uncomfortable with them serving me food and drinks. There's always at least one person coughing, sneezing, or sniffling while making drinks. I know I've caught illnesses from coming here more than once. Just wish they had better health code standards. I love this coffee shop! Perfect place to meet a friend, read a book, study or meet a date. Staff is always friendly! They are well-known for the breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito. They used to offer a wide variety of "toasts" but currently offer the standard avocado toast. I ordered an iced caramel latte with oat milk. I would rate the coffee as a 8/10. It has a great caramel flavor with a smooth finish. The quality of the oat milk can make or break a drink for me, so I was very happy with what I received. They had quick, prompt service and the restaurant had a very cozy atmosphere. They have lots of drink choices, including stuff in the cooler that I didn't get to partake in because I was flying out later that day. They also had lots of baked goods (we had an oat meal cookie that was really tasty). It's a pretty nice coffee shop, reasonably priced, and great atmosphere to go with a friend or study.
