GREAT NEWS - after a very short absence, sashimi is back on the All You Can Eat Sushi Menu. Overall Kaiyo is a great restaurant with a diverse menu and great tasting sushi. Prices are reasonable, portions are good sized and staff are very helpful. See you there soon.

Sushi Platter A

Did a pickup order of Platter A. $60ish, but 100% worth it. Service was quick, had my order ready to go within 10 minutes and it was amazing. Pepper tuna roll, Philly roll, crunchy spicy tuna roll, and the three that come with it. Next time will probably sit inside and eat because it also looks amazing inside. Will be going again!

I love a good spot to sit, relax and talk. Heard good things about this place so me and my group decided to stop in. The service was very fast and the atmosphere was cozy. The drinks were heavy poured as well but of course we had to get some sake to complete the meal. Bathroom was fully stocked and clean. The menu has so much to offer plus dessert (I'll get into those next time)

I've been to this restaurant a few times now for lunches. I usually go with their Ramen, but this particular visit my son wanted all you can eat sushi. FYI, when one person gets all you can eat sushi...the whole table has to get it. The only negative I had on our visit was how long it took to get the sushi. Yes I understand they make it on site upon ordering, but when you only have an hour for lunch, which includes driving to and from the location on base, it's not the quickest. I started off with fried calamari that was cooked perfectly. My next two requests were salmon Nigiri. The salmon tasted fresh, and I definitely would've ordered more how I planned ahead. My son and wife loaded up on miscellaneous rolls too.

I love this place. I've been three times now and each time I wish I lived closer! Their happy hour is amazing. We split so much food and spent way less than I expected. $4 happy hour house red... delicious. I had the waitress take a photo of the bottle even because it was so surprisingly good! The rolls are always fresh, the place is lively and welcoming, and there's tons of parking which is huge right now with all the construction around Omaha.

Lovely addition to the Bellevue food scene! Everything was wonderful, hot, and quick to serve! Walked in on a Monday night and was seated right away, group of 4. The place was clean, large with plenty of tables, nice bathrooms. Parking is in a parking lot, complimentary! We did the all you could eat which had SO many options to choose from!

Kaiyo Sushi in Bellevue has an all day 'Happy Hour' menu that's a steal (they also have an all-you-can-eat-deal). The Mai Tai's were $5.50 and I was expecting the smaller one pictured, when this huge, tasty one appeared. Also, the rolls pictured were $7-Alaskan, loaded with crab on top, and $5-Black Pepper Tuna, drizzled with a delicious honey wasabi. Service and seating were great too. Location: In the strip mall at the bottom of the hill at 370 and 36th.

This was my second time visiting during lunch. We were seated quickly, and our hostess took our drink orders while we waited on our server. Our super was super friendly and quickly brought our drinks while taking our orders. I went with something different and decided on the lunch portion of Teriyaki chicken with a $1 up-charge of fried rice, Wow I can't imagine what the dinner portion size is because the lunch portion was huge. I end up taking over half home and eating it for dinner. Bite-size chicken was saucy with the fried rice and veggies... I think my boys will like it as well. I think I found my new favorite lunch item here, but I might try the orange chicken next time.

Torn between a 4 and a 5, so I'll round up. Went for ayce - the menu isn't as expansive as some other local places but there is still enough variety to get your fill. Service was great and the manager (guessing?) came around a few times to check how things were.

I had a craving for sushi and found this place on yelp. They have an amazing all you can eat lunch that includes nigiri, sashimi and sushi rolls. Everything was delicious! Service was great and cozy interior. Will definitely be back.

Kaiyo is a great addition to Sarpy County. They have lots of standard rolls and several unique ones. Try the sushi pizza!

You don't have to order off the train and they have a good sized menu. Unfortunately, as I said, what I did try off of the train was just okay, and I wouldn't rush to come back in.

We walked in at 5:15 PM, sat down, and the place was packed within minutes. Not an empty seat in sight--good timing on our part! Our server greeted us quickly, and after a quick look at the drink menu, we went all in with water, Coke Zero (YES, a Coke Zero establishment!), and a cocktail--the amusingly named Sex in Okinawa. No regrets. As the sushi train made its rounds, we grabbed a crab rangoon. It was tasty but had cooled off from its little journey, so we opted for a fresh batch from the kitchen. The spring rolls? Crispy, hot, and on point. I did have to ask for sriracha a few times (our server kept forgetting), but to be fair, they were busy, so I didn't hold it against them. One thing we noticed was that some of the sushi rolls lacked descriptions. A tiny sign with ingredients would be helpful. I am a sushi newbie, and I wasn't about to roll the dice on a Volcano Roll without knowing what was inside. For what I did try: California rolls - classic and exactly what you'd expect. Sexy jalapeño - surprisingly good! (If there was fish in there, I didn't notice.) Tempura sweet potato roll - crispy, slightly sweet, and a winner. Pro tip: They offer a veteran/military discount, but double-check your receipt--ours wasn't applied at first, but they fixed it without issue. Final bill: about $68, and let's be honest, a good chunk of that was drinks. Not bad for a fun dinner out! Would I go back? Absolutely. There's plenty more to try, and the atmosphere makes for a great night with friends. Final Verdict: Worth the ride!

The Fukui cocktail (cucumber vodka flavors) is a great pairing with the menu items. One thing I really enjoy about this restaurant is that you order as you go, so you never leave hungry and it's a safe bet that you won't over order. The wait staff will frequently check in on you and see if you need to order more. The Bunzai Buns (runza inspired) and Gyoza are my favorite options outside of the sushi. The Gyoza are fresh, chewy, and are paired with a very flavorful sauce. Our favorite Nigiri is the Sea Bream And you truly can't go wrong with any of the rolls. Don't forget to end your meal with the cereal milk ice cream! Reservations are highly recommended as time slots will fill up fast. The atmosphere is well thought through - I enjoy how it is fairly dark in there, but the lights are shining so they are focused on the food. Can't recommend this restaurant enough!

We also got the Hama toast and hotate, very fresh. For maki rolls we got the go-San, stinger and royale. None stuck out more than the other. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable and offered a great amount of suggestions while navigating the menu. The restaurant is small and cozy with very cool woodwork throughout. I got the cocktail that was similar to a Paloma, very delicious.

Service was efficient when we ordered carry-out; we received four rolls, two miso soups, and seaweed salad within 15 minutes. However, our experience upon returning home was disappointing. The salmon rolls were extremely fishy, to the point of gagging and nearly vomiting. The California roll also tasted off. Additionally, none of the rolls were rolled properly and fell apart as we picked them up. The seaweed salad did not meet our expectations either, which was surprising since I love seaweed salad and have never been disappointed before. The miso soup also lacked flavor and seaweed. It seems likely they used old fish that had been sitting out for an extended period of time. We only ate the spider roll, which was cooked, and the only one we enjoyed. Overall, we were very disappointed because sushi is our preferred date night choice, and we enjoy trying new places whenever we visit. We are ending up throwing them away. I wouldn't recommend going to this place after peak hours.

Between my wife and I, we had 15-20 pieces of sashimi, 5 specialty rolls, and 4 sides. The sashimi/side portions are a bit smaller, but for an all-you-can-eat menu, it's pretty great. Easily a better value than Blue, though the rolls aren't as extravagant as those at Blue. I would recommend against the spicy tuna pizza and spare ribs though. The spicy tuna pizza is a thick fried rice type "crust" with a much thinner layer of spicy tuna. Spare ribs were flavorful little slices of beef, but miss the mark if you were expecting falling off the bone ribs.

The food is usually good, but like anywhere, not everything is going to be a hit when you try something new. What I cannot get past is how I was treated. I didn't like the dish I ordered, so I asked to order something different--something I know I would actually eat--and was told they refused to make me anything else because I didn't eat the original meal. That makes absolutely no sense. I'm not going to force myself to eat food I don't like just to "earn" the right to order something else. It felt dismissive, rude, and completely unreasonable. For a place I've been loyal to for so long, this was incredibly disappointing. Definitely not the kind of service I expected, and it honestly makes me question coming back.
