The brick & mortar shops were all giving me the run around and never could provide me with a quote to address the problem with my headlight. I figured my ballast was bad in the headlight however, it wasn't until Charles pulled the headlight did I see that rain and condensation had ruined the ballast and water literally poured out. The headlight configuration on my car didn't allow Charles to remove and replace the ballast without taking the plastic headlight cover off the car. Factory alterations are something he told me upfront he doesn't do, so we decide the best approach was to get a headlamp unit assembly replacement. Charles had quoted me a flat rate of $300 to replace the ballast which included removing part of the front bumper to access the headlamp unit in my car. Since he couldn't replace the ballast with the new one I provided, he put everything back together, charged me only $200 and told me he would come back out after I got the new headlamp and would only charge me the remainder of $100 on the original quote which I felt was more than fair since he essentially would be doing the same job again. I finally got the new headlamp assembly abut 1.5 weeks later, and texted Charles who immediately acknowledged my message and gave me a day he could come back and finish the job. He actually completed the job within 30-40 minutes and everything worked great, headlight is perfect. I can't say enough about how fair Charles is. He quotes you a flat rate for the services you need. He's a great guy, easy going and doesn't waste time, he gets right to work and gets the job done. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs mobile work at their home or place of business, I know I will be using him again. If you're tired of getting jacked up estimates from one of these shops and feel the inconvenience of having to drive to their place of business, Charles will bring his mobile services to you for a fraction of the cost!

This is a review for the clutch replacement service I had done at Repairs Done Right a few weeks…read moreago. Needed to replace the clutch in my car, and Repairs Done Right answered the call! Sent out an inquiry through Yelp, and Billy at Repairs Done Right (RDR) was one of the first to respond. After comparing quotes from other shops and reading up on the various reviews, I opted for RDR (even though they're a little out of the way for me), since they were the most reasonably priced and had solid overall ratings. Got the car towed to their shop, and was promptly checked in by Billy and Ariel -- both were super kind and good vibes! Later that day, they sent me an e-copy of the quoted estimate to review and approve. I had questions regarding a couple of the line items listed, and Ariel was very patient and thorough in addressing my concerns, which reassured me and gave me peace of mind. During servicing, Billy reached out to inform me they had to replace the flywheel (instead of re-surfacing it, as noted in the original quote), due to the machinery and personnel needed for resurfacing being unavailable. He gave me a couple of options, and I chose to go ahead with replacing the flywheel (versus a clutch conversion?), which he said they'd do at cost. The grand total still ended up being within reason, even with the change, so no big deal. They sent me an updated cost estimate later in the day, reflecting the adjustment. I truly appreciated the transparency and clear communication throughout the whole process. I told them I could only do pickup on Saturday, and they said it's not a problem. It all worked out, since they finished the clutch replacement on Friday, and I went to pick up the car the next morning on Saturday. Can I just say, I am so grateful for them being open on a Saturday?! That is so incredibly helpful. The new clutch feels great! Mahalo to Billy, Ariel, and their team at RDR, for their help! She tried to give me a discount, but I don't think it was enough, considering I know for a fact they are charging me 3-4x the actual cost for the parts and then will eventually get more money back because of the cores. I text the number they text me with explaining my situation and there were no response. 2 phone numbers they text me from I left a text message, no response. That right there shows me that that they have poor communication skills. Communication was done with text. To be honest, I prefer real conversation with a person/company. I believe that they either did a poor job 2 and a half years ago or the quality of parts they used suck!! I got ripped off the first time and they tried to do that again the second time around. The shop is extremely clean and the bay looks organized, seems they work on many different makes and models. After picking up my car they didn't install the O2 sensors because I didn't need it. The guy at the front went through what the cause was and gave me some tips on preventing it and they didn't even charge me! Car is running great so far.
