My wife became very sick the night before our Hanauma Bay snorkel and they refused to allow me to change to a later date until she felt better so I was out the $250 we paid. They only care about collecting your money and aren't accommodating. Also, they ask you to pay $25 cash per person for Bay entrance fee regardless of age. Just a way for them to take more of your money. If you go to the parks and rec website and book your own entrance fee you only pay $25 per adult. Kids are free. So why is Kaimana Tours charging $25 for everyone? Highly encourage to book on your own or find different tour company that actually care about their customers and want returning business! read more

Yesterday, my friends and I booked with this company via Go Oahu for the Diamond Head Crater Shuttle & Self-Guided Hike. It was easy to book on line as you had the option to selection date and times. You get email confirmations and reminders. Our pick up time was on time as indicated. On out way, we received a pamphlet explaining about Diamond Head and the driver, Chris, also gave us some helpful hints. Upon arrive, we all received a free bottle of water and a reminder to put on sunscreen as there is no shade on the hike. The time allocated was sufficient even for those that would need to take extra time. The round trip hike took 1:15mins and our group varied with advance to limited hiking skills. We also had time for a cold snack afterwards. We enjoyed our day trip and the people on the shuttle were all friendly. We also booked for the Hanauma Bay Shuttle & Snorkel Gear Rental for tomorrow so we know we're are in good What we liked: 1. With limited parking, we didn't have to worry about finding parking. 2. The shuttle van stopped right in front of the visitors centre so this saved us an additional 30mins upward hike from the bus stop. 3. Free bottle of water. It was a hot day and I drank my own and the free bottle. There is a water station by the washrooms but not in the trail. 4. We booked the Diamond Head hike as one of the options on the Oahu Go Card and were pretty happy about the entire experience. When you reserve online, you don't get picked up at your hotel necessarily, so make sure you watch closely to see where you should be. Also, neither the website nor the confirmation email tells you exactly WHERE at the pick up location you should be, something that could be improved. I was very nervous as our pick up time came and went based on some previous reviews where folks were left behind. I did, however, appreciate being able to book this without having to call, and though a tad late, the driver was very friendly and pointed out lots of places to stop and visit or eat along the way and we did utilize some of his suggestions. Not a good service! When you are trying to get around Hawaii and trying to plan things it would be nice if they sent a reminder. We set up tour weeks ahead of time but didn't get a reminder. We booked online through our Go Oahu Card a confirmation email gave us all the information we needed. Our tour van pick up was very punctual he was earlier then 8:20 am in the spot we were told by our hotel for our Diamond Head Hike. Our driver was friendly and was very knowledgeable with any questions we had on Diamond Head & Oahu. The duration of our self tour is from 8:20 to 11:15 am. Our driver dropped us off in front of the gate inside the Diamond Head State Park. Our drive told us what to expect on this hike and he did not exaggerate as well how long the hike should take and supplied us with water. Told us we're to meet him and at what time after the hike. In fact the hike took us a little shorter the he indicated and that is with sight seeing at top and not rushing back. We had time to shop for souvenirs and have a pineapple treat. I recommend this company they are top notch! Will use them again when we return to Oahu read more

We booked a visit to Hanauma Bay with the Go Oahu card and we're all really happy we did! Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay was incredible - there were so many beautiful fish everywhere. The water was clear earlier in the morning but as the day progressed the sands from the surf and other people made it a bit more murky, so going earlier in the day was a good tip. Diogo was our guide and he was awesome. He shared fun stories about the island and was patient instructing us on how to snorkel. He also had great tips on how to navigate the bay and where to go eat! We'll be getting fat and happy eating our way through his recommendations for sure. Bonus! There was a Leonard's malasada mobile in the same parking lot as the office where we got our gear, so treat yourself to the best fried dough in the island! read more

We had booked the "Rainforest, Waterfalls, and Movie Sites: Shuttle & Self-Guided Hike" through our Go City pass. We just flat out didn't get picked up. We were ready to go, in front of our hotel, at 6:50 (as per the directions and confirmation from the company) for the 7:00 pick up time. At 7:05, we started to get a little worried, but, Island time. At 7:15, we tried calling, but the company doesn't open until 7:30. So, at 7:30 we called. The individual who answered the phone put us on hold and then came back on the line (assumingly after calling the driver) to let us know they had missed our stop. They apologized and asked if we wanted to re-book, which we didn't because we didn't have time left in our stay to reschedule. Super disappointed that we didn't even get to experience this excursion that we had planned for. Not sure why the company isn't open when pick ups begin or offers a contact number in case of incidents like ours. read more

Before I was approximately 10-15 minutes late for my reservation, but luckily I had a GREAT employee talk me through my traffic woes and it ended up being that my shuttle driver was a few minutes behind as well. (I'm so sorry I didn't get her name, but she deserves recognition so whoever was on the line around 7:30am the morning of 1/29, thank you) During Our drivers were wonderful and gave plenty of information so we weren't just twiddling our thumbs when they left. It's self-guided, but you receive a brochure with activities to fill the time. I bought the Land & Sea Package. Great price! I felt I had plenty of time to hike to Diamond Head Crater. Enough to where I took photos going up and down, and sat at the bottom to enjoy the view and a pineapple smoothie before the shuttle came. Though I didn't bring cash, I was able to buy food and write my information down to rent an underwater camera for Hanauma Bay (only $17 and you get to keep it.) Took the Manoa Falls hike last Friday morning. The shuttle was on time & we were the last pickup so we headed straight to the falls. Our driver shared stories about the place we were going on the drive up & he had a good sense of humor. The walking stick really came in handy (the trail is very muddy/slippery) & I should have got the rain poncho as we were completely soaked by the end....though the rain did cool us off too, so maybe it was just as well we didn't . The hike was beautiful & just the right amount of exercise for me (any further & I would have been dragging)!! We took a tour today with this company and the driver was fine but overall I'm frustrated by the lack of information and misinformation. I called yesterday to discuss cancelling it as we were thinking of just heading their with our rental car but the representative I spoke to made it sound like the tour was worth it... if you have a rental car just drive there. There is no cost to climb the hike... this tour provides an unnecessary shuttle to the site (for us and anyone with a rental car)and then bug spray and a walking stick... we were given about 2.5-3 hours. We finished in two hours and would have LOVed to head to our next adventure but we had to wait for the shuttle... we also had to guesstimate timing to meet the shuttle..which is a challenge in Waikiki due to traffic.. I asked if we could meet the shuttle at the site and the answer was no... as our go-city pass requires we do the shuttle...OBVIOUSLY...because the falls are free...I wish I'd done more research but with the go-city pass we are busy from super early in the morning till late.. Why didn't the representative just be honest and tell us the truth? Argh Wasted time... The falls are BEAUTIFUL and you should definitely go! On your own. :). Definitely being bug spray... read more

used the Go Oahu passes to purchase 2 tickets to the Diamondhead trail self guided tour. Apparently I mistakenly purchased 2 adult with a 2 Oahu pass tickets. I associated the 2 adult tickets with the 2oahu Passes as 2 adult tickets without having to pay because of the Go Oahu passes. Easy mistake. The email showes the same thing nothing showes of any charges, cool it seemed to work. So I get an email the day before my tour about a charge. To me it looks like they accidentally charged me anyway, even though I put that I have passes. Turns out I purchased 2 adult tickets, along with my Go Oahu pass tickets. So I call to say it was an honest mistake & if there is anyway to refund. Right away they get very defensive before I can ask for a refund once they finish explaining that I technically purchased 4 seats. So to me it was all very confusing & as customer service you'd think they understand but basically called me dumb for being confused & that this never happens. So I ask okay since this never happens can't this be an exception. The manager goes off on me & because I'm being calm & hes clearly not, I say wow this is sucky customer service not because of the no refund but because of the impatience to understand what happened with a customer. So this manager goes on to say Oh so we suck now I'm not going to help, even though he wasn't planning on helping at all. And he hangs up & doesn't answer anymore. I get if times are hard and companies are being stingy but I wasn't even asking for a full refund it was all very misleading to me and customer service couldn't even try to help me out or be patient with me to hear me out instead of constantly interrupting me. It sucks that now I feel like not even going it's a real bummer just for the treatment. Well hopefully they show up and not be petty about this. Never again booking with this group. read more

You better hope no one in your party is gets sick the day of because they will charge your card for the full amount regardless of whether you have a GoCity pass. I would honestly be concerned that there are lots of people with COVID on the tour bus because again you can't cancel or they will charge you!! So I guarantee sick people are showing up just so they don't have to pay more. We were responsible and concerned about the health of others and we were charged $200 to protect their customers. Used these folks twice through Go Oahu card for the tour ride to Diamond Head and Hanauma snorkel. On time pickup and informative. Pickup after the hike was so-so for one, but that was due to late morning traffic to the site. For snorkel we cut our time short as kids weren't into sticking heads into the water, so really appreciate the flexibility and saved us a few hours. On the other hand, there was really no way to reach someone live on the phone when calling, but I was lucky to remember that the driver drops off other people at other times--this enabled me to flag a driver for the earlier return. Another issue is that while snorkels and fins are free, you need to pay extra for renting an anti-water plug for the snorkel tube and the life vest. The rental life vests are cheap blow-by-air inflation and not the actual foam life vests; these do not feel too reliable or stable to me--in any case didnt find out if they hold up as my kiddos did not want to stay... read more

I was initially excited about this tour but realized that this was nothing more than a shuttle to Monoa falls. There was no tour guide. All they did was drop of us off and pick us up. We purchased a Go Card which included this company as one of the service providers. We called this company in advance to see if we could just use the Go Card to rent their snorkelling gear as we had back to back activities planned and was using our own transportation to get around. They advised us that this was possible and gave us instructions on where to pick up the equipment from them on the day of our visit to Hanauma Bay. We were given instructions to drive to a Chevron Gas station close to Hanauma Bay at 8am and if we failed to show up they will charge us $10.00. We were there at 7:50, we hate being late. They were not there so we decided to look around the mall area thinking maybe they had a store front, nothing, first red flag. It was 8:10 before we called them to see where they were as we had back to back activities planned with the Go Card. We were informed that they do not have a store front and that the driver was on his way down, he showed up at 8:25, second red flag. While the driver was distributing equipment to customers, the Chervon security was telling him that he was not allowed to conduct business on their property, 3rd red flag. We told him that we only had a limited time and wanted to know how to return the gear when we were done, they gave us an address to a residential home and that they would be sending us the address with a picture. The address and picture never came until we texted them to ask for it. We were texted just the address. Using Google maps we arrived at their residence in about 10 mins, but the joke was they lived in a condo unit that was not well marked and extremely confusing to find as there were multiple complexes with similar numbers.. They did not provide specific instructions as to which of the complexes we should be looking for, so we had to call them again and had to listen to this lady yell at us with instructions to drive up some hill, (and she was horrible with providing instructions) while treating us like it was our fault that we couldn't find her place. It took us 25 extra minutes of driving around because she refused to come down to the street that she gave us the address to as we told her exactly where we were which turned out to be the main street her complex was on. When we finally found her, she was so annoyed that she expected us to drive and follow her back to her condo to give her the gear, so we told her we were already running late because of this fiasco and handed the gear to her on the spot. This was probably one of the most unprofessional mickey mouse business that we've ever come across and will never use this service again. read more

We used our Oahu go cards to enjoy a few tours with this company. Very easy to make and change reservations. Free shuttles included as well as equipment for snorkeling... however, not very handicap friendly and if we had any shuttle time other than the first pick up of the day they were late! Some of the drivers are very friendly others really don't talk and one blamed our group for not being where he was parked when he had told us to wait in another area. Overall i would absolutely use them again, would always do first tour of the day and be prepared to walk lots as they drop you only at the entrance to places. They did offer sunscreen, bug spray, and de fogger at no cost and rain ponchos which did the job but we're basically trash bags at 5 bucks a pop. read more
