Yesterday was the second time eating here. Love it: Great food, great service. It's right around the corner from the Water Street.

Everything is fresh & everything is delicious. My new sushi spot in Henderson. I definitely think everyone should try their dry aged fish selections.

I'm very picky and sensitive with seafood, but Kai Sushi truly impressed me with its freshness. If you want premium, fresh dry-aged sushi, this place is a must. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and trying dry-aged sushi for the first time--I loved the texture. And you have to get the uni here! So fresh ~ Every bite was heavenly and delicious. The spicy tuna roll was amazing, and the udon had a rich broth with perfectly chewy (쫀득) noodles. The karaage was crispy outside and juicy inside. You have to try their beer--the blue bottle pilsner (see photo). Easily the best pilsner I've ever had, and I heard it's ranked #1 in Japan. The house Sauvignon Blanc was also excellent. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

If you're looking for true made-to-order sushi, Kai Sushi is in a league of its own. The owner is a master sushi chef with over 14 years of experience, and it absolutely shows in the quality and attention to detail. This is not an all-you-can-eat spot--but that's exactly why it's so good. The focus here is on craftsmanship and premium ingredients, not volume. Kai Sushi is the only local sushi restaurant that dry-ages their fish, which results in a noticeably more flavorful, buttery, and refined bite you just don't get elsewhere. Every piece tastes intentional, balanced, and fresh in a way that sets it apart from typical sushi restaurants. If you appreciate high-quality fish, traditional technique, and supporting a local business that takes real pride in their craft, this place is a must. Centrally located on Water Street in Henderson, Kai Sushi is a hidden gem that deserves the support.

Fresh and generous fish in the signature rolls! We ordered the salmon lover roll, tuna special roll, tuna lover roll, and 3-piece o-toro sashimi! Thick cut tender salmon and tuna chunks with generously topped fresh wasabi. I'm very impressed with the freshness. It's a clean and romantic vibe inside. Service was kind and frequently visited the table with dishes coming out in a timely manner.

Food and service were excellent! John (I think was his name) checked in several times to make sure everything came out how we wanted it, if we needed more drinks, etc. Also very funny and great service :)

Loved this place! The fish is really fresh and portions are big. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend this place. The fish is very fresh and the portions are generous! My server was very kind and knowledgeable as well

The food was so good we ate without taking photos but this was a delicious palate cleanser.

We had dinner tonight at Kai Sushi in the Water Street District. The food was great, the service was awesome and the owner even came over to ensure we had a great experience. We will definitely be back! The food was so good we ate without taking photos but this was a delicious palate cleanser they offered. So darling and amazingly refreshing.

When you walk in it's definitely a kind of place for a date. I went by myself and I'm still pretty new to sushi but the kind staff helped me decide on what roll to get and sashimi was delicious. I think I ordered the three garlic or triple garlic....anyways it was delicious. I'd come back.

Heard they finally opened so we came in for lunch! No AYCE options but that's ok! The have quite a few no rice rolls for me!! It's a little dark inside but cute simple decor. We were greeted right away and told we could pick where to sit. It was fairly busy but we found a great spot. There are no menus as they are in "soft" opening. QR code is at the table the server explained as she took our drink order. We order 3 rolls and an iced tea. Food was just as everyone said fresh and delicious! The owner/chef checked on us. The server recommended a roll 777 per the mister's request. He said it was delicious! My roll was so flavorful! And the sauce it came with magnificent!! I can't wait to go back and try some more rolls. It's a little higher priced but the quality is worth it! Especially as we don't have a lot of sushi out this way.

Wow. Kai Sushi seriously impressed me. The fish was extremely fresh -- the sashimi was next level, especially the sea bream. They also had dry-aged sashimi, which was such a pleasant surprise and absolutely delicious. The rolls were bomb, everything tasted clean and high quality, and you can tell real care goes into the food. On top of that, the service was amazing -- warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Love supporting a great new small business, and Kai Sushi is doing it right. Already looking forward to coming back.

1000000/10 love this place! Brand new sushi place in Henderson and it is now one of my favorite spots! The entire staff and even the owner were beyond nice and very attentive. The sushi was SO FREAKING GOOD! And the spicy edamame... IS SO YUMMY!

Definitely pleasantly surprised! I wasn't sure how good this place was going to be, however I'm so glad we gave it a chance. The staff is very nice and are trying their best. We had the Mixed Fish Ceviche and Kai Combo 1 which was shared between two people and we left with our stomachs full. I enjoy the vibe and so glad a good sushi place is on this side of town! As someone who loves to support local business--I'll happily be back and recommend to others.

We have found the staff to be patient, knowledgeable, and friendly with suggestions on pairing their delicious brews with food. On recent visits we tried their brats with chips, and really enjoyed them. I tried the beast brat, which is a combination of a few different meats. It's something I feel like I can regularly enjoy. My fiancée tried the traditional brat, and preferred that one. We enjoyed these with the Czech Plz slow-pour and the Sugoi! green melon mochi IPA. We also recently ordered the Smorgasbord, which consists of two types of sausage, beer cheese, radishes, pickles, and warm pretzels (we ordered ours without the pretzels). It was the ideal shareable meal. We paired that with the Evocation, a delicious farmhouse ale, along with the Resinate, an American IPA. These beers went perfectly with the meal. The ambiance is very welcoming, suggesting a German Biergarten. They host different theme nights throughout the month, from tabletop gaming to trivia. They have a selection of board games, and are family friendly. This is a great stop anytime when visiting the Booze District.

UPDATE 7/27/25: This review is solely for Crafthaus' brewery tour at the Henderson Booze District,…read morewhich was guided by Wyndee Forrest. She owns the brewery with her husband, Dave Forrest. I got together with my meetup group for this tour (quite a few of them haven't been here yet until this visit), which was held on a Saturday afternoon. Tours are held on Saturdays beginning at noon and they last for an hour. Before the tour began, we were welcome to order a beer at the bar and we were allowed to take it with us during the tour. I got myself their All The Watermelon sour beer, which had that fruity sour flavor to it. I was also curious to try out their Prism Black Cherry Pomegranate hard seltzer, in which I took a four pack to go when the tour ended. I can't wait to try this out when I get to it! We also had pretzel sticks with cheese sauce on the side as a light snack. We were guided to the back of the brewery where the majority of the tour took place. Wyndee introduced herself as the co-founder of Crafthaus and explained that they will be coming up on their 11th anniversary in September, with their second location in the Arts District coming up six years. She also told us what the main ingredients for making beer were, which were water, barley, and yeast. Yeast, which is considered good bacteria in most cases, is one of the most important ingredients for beer to have. We also got to see the inside of a brewery tank, which was very interesting! Among other things I learned on this tour is that their Silver State Blonde Als is one of their best-selling beers and they make an appearance at every UNLV home game (see their Rebel Spirit beer). It was interesting to see how Crafthaus makes their beer. One of my favorite breweries in town and I will continue to come back to both their main brewery and taproom!

We were actually here for the clam chowder so we didn't get to really try new things except for the tomyum chicken wings. Will definitely be back to try the Asian fusion menu items. The woman that served us was very friendly and made good recommendations. The food came out quickly and was delicious. If you get fries, make sure you try the garlic fries! We ordered cocktails from a very limited menu. Our waiter wasn't sure how to make the lemon drop martini on the menu but said he'd try to follow the recipe. We asked for Grey Goose but watched him pour shelf vodka. Drinks were served after the appetizers arrived even though they were ordered first. We started with oysters. Waiter said they only had two kinds tonight so we ordered 6 of each. He set them down and left to get tobasco we requested. When he returned we asked which were which he said "we only had one kind so they're all the same." I feel he should have told us before serving them since they were $4 each! I ordered coippino which at $46 was expensive but I wanted a treat. Hubby ordered large clam chowder in bread bowl and Caesar salad. Cioppino lists first ingredient as crab. What I was served had no crab, 2 overcooked shrimp and rubbery calamari. The sauce was flavorful but so disappointing otherwise. I asked about the crab and was told "no crab" and I was offered additional scallops as compensation. He brought three small scallops on a plate. Hubby was served two small bread bowls of chowder with the explanation of "we are out of large bowls". Again, it should have been discussed prior to serving that there was a substitution. Who wants two big loaves of bread bowl??? The salad adequate-- a big bowl of romaine with croutons with a side of dressing. All in all not worth the over $150 it cost. Not in the least! And they charge an extra 3% if you use a credit card. We will not be back.
