Was around Henderson and decided to grab lunch at Poki Bowl. The restaurant is easy to find and parking is plentiful. Upon entering, the guy behind the counter gave me a warm welcome which was very pleasant. The restaurant does not have a lot of tables, but it's bright, clean, and spacious. I got a small Poki Bowl which included a base (sushi rice, brown rice, mixed greens, and chips), two proteins, and a bunch of toppings. I chose mixed greens with ahi tuni and salmon. The sauce came with four levels of spiciness. I choice #4 but it wasn't too spicy at all. For toppings, there were plenty of choices. I picked edamame, spicy crab meat, fried onion, masago eggs, and sesame. It was topped with a house poki sauce which is like a spicy mayonnaise. Everything was really fresh, from the mixed greens to the poki and the toppings. Quality of the ingredients was also excellent. The sauce gave it a nice kick but wasn't too overpowering. The toppings complimented the poki really well and gave the taste more depth. Service was great. The two guys behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was as clean. They also carry a good variety of drinks and Uncle's Ice Cream. They serve some cooked items like SPAM Musubi and Yakitori Skewers; and they also have boba tea. Prices are not cheap but reasonable. I LOVE Poki Bowl, literally my favorite poke spot. The food is always so fresh and sooo good, and the staff is super nice. Only thing... the portions are kinda small even a large barely has any rice. Also I do DoorDash pickup a lot and they almost never include forks or napkins, which sucks when I'm in a rush. We stopped in the other day around 1pm and we're greeted warmly. Once I had checked in, the young man behind the counter explained what was included and we got started! I opted for the poke bowl with 2 proteins: spicy tuna and yellowtail, with sushi rice as a base, and a lovely amount of toppings. I also got a fountain drink. We also purchased separately a poke bowl for Morgan, a spam musubi, and a Hawaiian Sun drink. They have made us a place to eat and be well! Let's get to the point, you get to choose the way the bowl is made . The greens as a base was my choice with salmon and tofu. I am glad that I tried Poki Bowl in our area. I did not realize that I was missing out on good poki bowls. I fell in love with the Ahi tuna poki bowl. I chose sushi rice, medium spicy, and customized the toppings. They also sell ice cream. We tried the banana flavor. The associate who helped me was Brandon, and he was nothing short of amazing. From the second I walked in, I was greeted and felt so welcomed. The facility itself is very modern, clean, and absolutely beautiful, with tons of natural lighting that makes the space feel open and inviting. There's plenty of room for you and your guests to sit and enjoy your meal, and they even have an outdoor deck patio if you want to relax and enjoy some fresh air while you eat. I decided to try their signature Poki Bowl with two proteins of my choice. I went with salmon and octopus, and from that point on I basically trusted every suggestion Brandon gave me. I'm so glad I did because my bowl turned out amazing! It was packed with flavor, and you could really taste the freshness in all of the proteins, greens, and toppings. On top of my bowl, I ended up indulging a little and ordered some spam musubi for my kids and husband, along with a few yakitori skewers. The musubi sauce was really good--full of flavor without being overly heavy or overwhelming. The yakitori skewers were also delicious and had that perfect savory flavor that makes you want to keep going back for more bites. I was also informed that this Poki Bowl location is one of the first of its kind to have its own tap beer bar, which is really cool to know. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to indulge in an alcoholic beverage this time since I had about 100 things to do after leaving, but it's definitely something I'm looking forward to coming back and trying next time. Came by here to pick up some lunch for the first time. The location is pretty easy to find. It's a nice causal set up. Upon entering, I was greeted by a sweet girl and then, I was assisted by a gentleman who looked like the store manage; that took my order. He was very thorough about the menu and what they offer. He was helpful when I asked about their popular options. The items are very customizable, which I love! I ended up getting their small salmon poke bowl with sushi rice, avocados, white onions, chopped jalapeños, pickled gingers, fried onions, and their house poke sauce. The lack of a 5th star is based on value. My gold standard of comparison is Island Fin Poke. They have a ton of options! They even offer 2 kinds of chicken for non fish lovers which my husband happens to be. He will eat raw tuna and thats it! So it's great to have a mix of options for a mixed group of eaters. Additionally, Island Fin offers more toppings, both premium & standard. I especially love their OG veggies. What stood out most, was the price difference. Poki Bowls small bowl was 17.99! That's more money, less options and less food. I could have gotten a larger bowl at IFP for about $7 less. If I were basing my review 100% on the service & quality of food I received, I would give PB a solid 5 stars. The food was very fresh! When it comes to raw fish that's GOTTA be the case & it was. My tina & octopus bowl was very fresh and tasty. My husband said he enjoyed his bowl also. He did however comment "dang that's it?" Re the size of the bowl bc he's used to the ample portions we get from IFP. However, the bowls were good quality and flavor. If we didn't know any different-PB would get a full 5 stars. If we're talking value, it's a 4 teetering on the edge of a 3. IDK the reasoning for such a higher cost of the food @ PB so perhaps it's valid. It reminds me of a Chipotle style, where you pick out proteins and veggies that you want. I chose the spicy tuna and salmon with sushi rice. They mix the salmon and the greens in front of you. After picking out the proteins, you can pick between avocado, seaweed salad or edamame. Everything else you can add without extra charge. This place was not what I expected, I'm from Hawaii so the poke bowls from back home already have the poke premade with different flavors. This place is different, it's really a deconstructed poke your customizing to fit your taste. Kind of like a chipotle of poke bowls. The establishment is nestled in a corner of the shopping plaza, it has quite a few spots for parking and long ramp for those in need of assistance. The menus are displayed on tv screens and it has a variety of options. I chose the small bowl which came with 2 proteins. The staff was more than helpful in assisting me, I picked the spicy tuna and yellowtail. Most of the fishes are cubed up and not seasoned, they season it with your taste. It's either cucumber or onions or both, I did both and chose the spicy soy sauce. My base was brown rice and mixed greens, you can chose between brown rice, sushi rice, mixed greens or a mix of either together. Then it comes to a variety of other things, like spicy crab or regular, seaweed salad or edamame, ginger or wasabi, and masago. Then there are different types of sauces, I believe 4-5 of them. I went with the poki spicy sauce and topped it off with furikake. There are a variety of drinks as well, some Hawaiian sun, to calpico, and fountain drinks as well. They also sell spam musubi, chicken yakitori, and ice cream from uncles. The ice cream caught my eye, I'd have to try it next time. There are a couple of tables to sit on and the place is very clean. If I wast on a time crunch I would've ate here. The bowl was delicious, I finished everything and the serving size was right for a small bowl, I was pretty full after eating it. I've bowled by in my car before, but I finally poked around here today. Poki Bowl is a chain that originated in the San Jose area and has now found a shared building with Dunkin' on Horizon Ridge in Henderson to try to bolster this once-trendy take on raw fish. It was very clean but totally empty when I walked in during an early Saturday evening. Antiseptic atmosphere notwithstanding, at least I didn't have to wait at all to order. The employee suggested that I look at the blackboard specials. They all sounded less interesting than simply building my own poke bowl, so that's what I did. Step one: bowl size and base. I went for the biggest size, a large ($19.95). I was thinking of going halfsies for the base, but stuck to the sushi (white) rice. Step two: proteins and veggies. My four proteins were salmon, yellowtail, ahi tuna, and octopus. I considered shrimp since it also looked fresh enough, but octopus can be more fun. Veggies are onions and cucumbers, and I asked for both. Step three: sauce. This is what all the step 2 items are tossed in. I went for the mild sauce since I sometimes have issues with medium but wanted more kick than the non-spicy level. Step four: toppings. Some are either/or; I picked seaweed salad over avocado or edamame, and regular imitation crab instead of spicy. You can get any or all of the remaining toppings, and I went for green onions, masago, and seaweed mix. I'm not sure whether "drizzle on top" sauces go here or comprise an unlisted separate step, but I got both Poki Spicy Sauce and Eel Sauce. I took the bowl home since it was just so empty in there. So, now I'm here, talking about the items roughly in order of components: - The rice was good. I'm all about a good chew without being too dry or wet, and they accomplished it. - The proteins were all fresh and delicious. The octopus was chewy but was thinly sliced enough that it wasn't tough. - The onions were a little strong at times, so maybe smaller slices would've helped to tame them? The cucumbers were solid. - The mild sauce was fine, but if I can jump ahead a bit, it seemed like the drizzled sauces came in too small a portion to get the flavor in every bite. - All of the toppings were fresh and tasty. I'm happy with the seaweed salad's flavor over the avocado's texture. - Back to step 1 though... it did feel like the poke bowl size was a little small compared to other places, where I regularly get stuffed or have to save leftovers on the largest bowls. Poki Bowl is a pretty solid take on poke bowls, with some distinguishing factors which I didn't try such as chips, beer, and some food specials. I wouldn't recommend driving across town for them, but I'll keep them in mind since they're one of the closer poke bowl options to home. read more

Today, my wife and I visited the new Poki Bowl, located on the northwest corner of Horizon Ridge and Stephanie. When we walked in, I notice how clean the place was. That's a good start. I was asked what I would like to order, and it took me a minute. They have a lot of options. I went for the small California bowl, which comes with your choice of rice, greens, or chips as the base, avocado, spicy (or regular) imitation crab meat, cucumbers, seaweed chips (sheets), sesame seeds, and furikake, and then topped with your choice of sauce. I chose sriracha. My wife went with the Small Bowl, which comes with two proteins (she chose salmon and ahi tuna), the base of one-half rice and on-half greens, cucumbers, onions, and toppings, sauce, and drizzle. For her dressing, she went with the poki sauce. After eating some of mine, she offered to switch, and I will say hers was out of this world delicious. The fish was so fresh that I thought I was at a sushi restaurant. I have read a few reviews of this place stating that the small bowl was too small for the price, and that they didn't have enough. I don't understand, because both of us could come nowhere close to finishing ours, and that is great because we have another meal to look forward to enjoying. read more

I've been here a few times now. Each time I've come I was helped immediately, the line moved fast, and the folks were very friendly and helpful. I remember the first time I went I wasn't sure about the flavors. I've have poke and most everything available there, but the sauce and flavors can vary by name, and I'll be honest I never dug deep. If I like the Hawaiian Poke, I'll just ask for that. But here they used the sauce names. Thankfully the person that was helping me knew what they were doing. I said I wanted savory and spicy, no sweet. Other than asking me the "mix-ins" he handled the flavor for me, making suggestions, and it was the perfect flavor. The most recent time was a very nice young lady. She was patient with me because I was getting ahead of myself (I swear I followed the "how to order" list on the wall, but apparently I skipped #2). So she gently guided me back on track and I got another great bowl. Their white rice was the perfect consistency, and most recently I got the veggie option as the base instead of rice and the greens were noticeably fresh and clean. I went with a large bowl--double ahi, one salmon and one octopus for my proteins. All seemed fresh and had a good consistency. I prefer a bit of firmness, not mushiness. The mush is usually either old or too long or improperly frozen. This fish was good and firm. I'm old, so it still feels like 20 bucks is a lot for what you get, but I try to remind myself even McDonalds is darn near 20 bucks now. You get four choices of meat which is not as many as you would get in other places. I went with the salmon and the tuna which tasted fairly fresh. The options for the ball seem pretty standard across the board compared to other places, but the choices of sauce were limited. I went with the sesame and spicy mayo, which were good, but the spicy mayo was awfully watery. The price came out to almost $22 which in my experience is a little bit more than I would spend at other places. They did have other options that you can add like spam masubi and chips which is nice. I really wish they would expand and open one here in Sky Canyon or anywhere in this area... we don't have any healthy places to eat out here... and a few places that there are aren't as affordable as this place... I guess I'll just keep wishing and hoping!! I have to take my hat off to whoever does run that place because it is so fresh and so good. Always looks really clean too.. which is my pet peeve. We came to Poki Bowl with high hopes, but unfortunately this will be our first and last visit. There were many misses across the board. The "sushi rice" tasted like plain white rice, lacking the seasoning you expect as a base for poke. The proteins -- spicy tuna, tuna cubes, octopus, and yellowtail -- were all underwhelming in both flavor and freshness. Nothing stood out. The overall seasoning throughout the bowl felt off-balance. All the sides were average. The biggest disappointment was the boba drink. There was no actual boba. Instead, they used the cheap Filipino halo-halo style jelly cubes they called it "crystal boba." Had to double-check the menu and the drawing on the board to confirm it did, in fact, say "boba" and drawing of tapioca pearls. That felt misleading and left a particularly sour note at the end of the meal. Overall, a very disappointing experience that didn't live up to expectations. read more
