    Matcha soft serve
    Erin H.

I routinely visit Kai Creamery when shopping at Mitsuwa Marketplace. Their matcha soft serve is my favorite -- it's rich and smooth, topped with Mont Blanc, which looks like little spaghetti strands and adds a unique twist. The service is pretty quick, though it can get busy with lots of people moving around the market. After placing my order, I had a short wait before getting my treat. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes, making it a good value overall. I'd definitely recommend Kai Creamery for a casual, tasty soft serve experience if you're visiting Mitsuwa.

The creamery is located inside Mitsuwa marketplace. There's a few seats and tables in the back of the little stall. We chose the three soft serve in the waffle bowl: matcha, strawberry, and pineapple. The strawberry and pineapple were sherberts. I was just surprised the strawberry wasn't cream based. The creamy matcha had good flavor. The pineapple tasted like dole whip. Overall it was good but small for the price.

I have had ice cream from this place many times and loved the black sesame soft-serve ice cream. My son's favorite is strawberry, so we went for the strawberry and pineapple. I wish there were more strawberries than pineapple. Maybe next time, I will get a strawberry for him and black sesame for myself.

Very good dessert selection while visiting Mitsuwa. I enjoy their soft serve ice cream as well as their black sesame and matcha bubble teas. but recently ive been loving their mont blancs! My go to flavor is their black sesame ice cream and topped with purple sweet potato! sooo satisfying! I love the sweet potato coz it actually reminds me of ube halaya and its just so delicious. Pairs perfectly well with their soft serve. cant wait to return!

This place is located in Mitsuwa and is very popular. When I go I always get the black sesame soft serve because I find that it's not easy to find. The soft serve is light but creamy and has a very nice texture. The black sesame flavor is nutty and perfectly sweet in my opinion. My only gripe is that I wish it had a slightly stronger black sesame flavor but other than that it's one of my favorite places to get soft serve.

Really creamy & flavorful ice cream. You can get a sample to try before buying. Friendly service but be prepared to wait because it's a very popular place at all hours. Takeout only. Only general seating available. Casual. Simple.

Overpriced ice cream. It tasted pretty good, but it kind of annoying me how much it served for over 9 dollar ice cream. You can see from my picture that the ice cream was hallow in the middle. Can't justify it for sure.

I was genuinely shocked at how bad it was. I ordered a passion fruit green tea with boba. They only sold one size (22 oz). There were no prices listed on their menu, so I just assumed it would be around $6-$8 which is standard market price. Nope, it was $10. As soon as I got my drink, I knew it was going to be bad. Passion fruit is typically a vibrant, yellow-golden color. Mine looked way too watered down. I had two sips before I threw it out. 1.) The boba was mushy, falling apart, and lacked any flavor. It was obviously old. COME ON! COOK YOUR BOBA FRESH AND PROPERLY. It's one of the key components to a good bubble tea. 2.) The green tea was not freshly brewed and tasted like it was from a premade tea bag. 3.) The passion fruit flavor had such a weird sour taste to it??? The taste was so unappealing. I couldn't shake it. $10 for a drink that tasted like mop water. Garbage. Straight up basura.

They advertise their brown sugar boba pretty heavily although I will say it was just alright but you'll enjoy it if you like brown sugar boba in general. The good thing is that I didn't find it overwhelmingly sweet like other spots can be. BERRY SPRITZ Strawberry syrup and sprite combine to make this refreshing, fizzy, sweet combo that's perfect for a summer day. Just what I needed to help cool down. Their berry series is something I don't see everywhere and so I was attracted to that. Would return for this !

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! My experience was not magical as the customer service inadvertently botched my drink order. There are steps upon entering which this business is not ADA compliant. Honey Jasmine Green Tea, $7.25 Disappointingly, there is no ice as I surely requested. Having ice in my drink is how I manage to stay cool on a hot day in June as I wanted a cold drink (no milk and no boba). I had finished my tiresome grueling long infinite workday and hoped for a cool down. This is the beginning of a infinite hot humid long revolving door New York City summer 2025. My drink was served cool, but not high Arctic extreme cold as I hoped and after a 1 hour 10 minute subway ride home my drink became room temperate. The grass jelly was also served room temperate, but not chilled. The honey overpowered the green tea. I tasted the honey in my Jasmine green tea which is rather sweet. The clear plastic cup is minuscule thin as I can poke my finger and the entire cup will break spilling all the contents. Tea Magic did not take heed to the magic. There is a large Japanese maneki-neko 招き猫 beckoning cat at the order counter blessing the business, greeting customers, serving as a good luck revered position and decoration. However, this beckoning cat did not raised its paw. There are two signs "DO NOT TOUCH THE LUCKY CAT." There is also a sign informing customers of "price adjustment notice due to inflationary pressures to sustain increased operational costs." Well... at least the proprietor(s) are honest and direct to customers. There is a loyalty card where after the tenth drink customers receive a $5.00 discount for the next purchase. These loyalty cards sit in a cute mini shopping cart. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit 1 train at 72nd Street in Upper West Side, Manhattan, NYC.

I did not receive any ice. I am a native New Yorker and always prefer ice in drinks who mirror a broader American obsession with icy beverages especially during the stifling hot humid summer months. Honestly, I wanted my drink to be sweating from the ice condensation but to no avail. It was served chilled which later turned room temperature warm during my long-haul subway ride home. Yuck!
