Frozen Falls is my go-to froyo spot in the Basking Ridge area. As huge lover of froyo, I've scoped…read moreout my fair share of self-serve shops over the years. I gotta say, Frozen Falls ranks pretty highly among all of them and here's the reasons why... 1) So so sooo many toppings to choose from. Their selection is like nothing I've ever seen before. They literally have every last topping you could ever hope for. From fruits, to candy, to cereal, to chocolate covered almonds (say whaaaaat?!), they really do have it all. Try not to get overwhelmed because at Frozen Falls your wish really is their command. 2) Testers. In my opinion, every self serve froyo shop NEEDS to allow for people to test flavors. Frozen Falls does just that. You will have to ask an associate for tester cups (they'll do it for you), but my experience has always been that staff is super patient and willing to let you try as many flavors as you'd like. 3) Open late for when you have those 10pm froyo cravings. I absolutely love that they're open til 11pm on Fridays! 4) Clean, bright, and open floor plan. Staff kept the tables in tip top shape and the froyo dispensers were clean too. 5) Free and accessible water. These are the small details that Frozen Falls certainly hasn't overlooked. I can usually chug back a water after eating all the sweets so its nice that they keep a water dispenser right at your finger tips. 6) Pay by the weight so feel free to get as little (or as much) as you want!

For some reason this restaurant popped up on social media today and since my wife and I had the day…read moreoff, we decided to take the short drive here for breakfast. This popular cafe is located right in the heart of Basking Ridge. It's small inside but there's outdoor seating also. We had a half hour wait for a table inside. The place has a very cozy feel to it and everyone we met who worked here was very friendly. I started my meal with a Vanilla Chai Latte and my wife had a Macha Latte. My wife ordered the Blintzes with blueberries and I had the Paris Morning breakfast. We both loved the food! My dish came with 2 potato pancakes, 2 poached eggs, and smoked salmon. Just delicious! A cool bit of trivia is that Paul McCartney and his wife stopped in here a few years ago. We didn't see Paul today, but we did enjoy the experience!

It was very busy yesterday around 11:30 am. When we finally got seated, the place did not disappoint. We first ordered macchiato, cappuccino, and lemonade, the coffee was strong and great! We ordered two American breakfast and Warsaw breakfast. One of the American was scrambled eggs and the other was egg over medium. The sausage was very tasty. It was not salty and the bacon was a little thick, and it was also not your typical salty bacon. The sausage was delicious and the bacon was nice and crunchy. The side potatoes were so delicious with onions and peppers. I finished all of mine. It was perfectly seasoned and not salty so eating this brunch was such a joy. The side roll was also delicious with butter. It looked like a sesame and wheat roll. It made it even so more enjoyable. The Warsaw breakfast was on a very hot small iron skillet. The Kabasa was delicious and it was typical on the salty side. The breakfast potato was delicious with the Warsaw breakfast, it had small cherry tomatoes with the potatoes. We also ordered two side pancakes. The pancakes were not as fluffy, but it was very good. It was on the expensive side for one pancake. It was around five dollars. Overall this breakfast restaurant was awesome. Small with a lot of character inside. The service was quick and on point.

I'm sorry I don't have any photos of their wonderful ice cream and shakes because we chow down too…read morefast! Can't let them melt!!! The flavor combinations are excellent. Even though I'm a simple chocolate gal, my family loves all the "fixins" and specialty flavors they offer. The hot chocolate is excellent. Here's how it works if you don't know. Sign up for their text messages and provide them with the pertinent information about your delivery location. Scream will send you a text message with a 1-hour time frame during which they will be in the area. Once you confirm you want delivery, they will send a link to the current menu. Scream states, "Pre-orders must be placed at least 15 minutes before your route's start time." Place your order, and they will confirm via email that the order was received. They give you a choice: either have it left for you on your porch or patio, or greet the truck. This may clear up any confusion among some of the negative reviewers. My grand-nephew, who is two years old, loves to greet them!! The truck usually has some good upbeat music playing, too. My only gripe is that they seem to schedule deliveries in our area before and around dinnertime. But I understand Scream has so many areas to cover. The people working on the truck are very nice and good at what they do! I did hear some locations are going to start delivering pizza.

We recently attended a birthday party where the party hosts rented out the Scream Truck (which I had NEVERRR heard of before the party) for the latter part of their party. I would guess that the truck was present at the party and parked outside of the hosts' house for at least 1-2 hours so the guests DEFINITELY got their money's worth. Let me just say that they absolutely DID NOT skimp on the soft serve ice cream at all and we were verrrry surprised at not only the variety of options, but just the sheer amount of ice cream swirls being given to guests - whether it was in one of their signature sundaes, signature cones, shakes or if you built your own cone. In terms of the variety, I think we would have been jussst fine if they offered a few options for us to select from, but it seemed like their ENTIRE menu was available for our pickings. And to top it off, the sundaes and cones were MASSSSIVE and beyonddd generous. There were toddlers that were under 5 years old holding cones larger than their heads!! I kid you not. Besides the seemingly endless ice cream concoctions and mounds of ice cream on each order, the employees making the orders took their time and made sure that each order was just right, so even though it did take awhile to fulfill each person's request, it was well worth the wait because of how well constructed the orders were. With all of the above praise said, if I were to nitpick, it would have been that they only offered vanilla, chocolate or a mixed swirl. However, I do understand that those are the 2 most common soft serve flavors and even establishments like Wendy's didn't offer any other Frosty flavors until their recent explosion in variety. Overall, as a guest of a party who rented out this truck, I was 1000% satisfied with our ice cream and the generosity of the portions. I don't know what the rental fee is for this truck (I'm sure it costs a pretty penny), but if you want to reallllly "WOW" your guests, this IS without a shadow of a doubt the truck to rent (especially in the summer).
